  1. I loved the pennos in the France / Aussie match. Great drama! Here's hoping England find a bit of form today. If they can go up a couple of gears we have a real shot at winning
  2. I agree no chance he chooses Brighton over Chelsea, but I think most would agree objectively it'll be easier for him to establish himself at Brighton and therefore arguably better for his career at this stage. It'll all be acedemic as I seriously doubt Brighton would spend £50m on one player
  3. Brighton would arguably be the best move for him. Guaranteed starter and a team on the up. He'd probably sell for £100m himself in a couple of years
  4. Ralph as well unfortunately.... He'd well and truly lost his mojo. Hopefully he'll be back to his best after a break
  5. I'm guessing we wouldn't agree to the sale at the stated price without getting downes for a year. In that case if JWP is West Ham's top target it's better to bring him in and lose a squad player than just have the squad player on the books
  6. Annoyingly Trent Rockets aren't even playing Turner...
  7. I suspect they will be due part of any future sell on of livramento by Newcastle to compensate. Only reason I can see as to why they'd agree
  8. Personally I think selling livramento is a poor decision. Yes we clear £20m, but he has the potential to be worth so much more and we should be using him this season. When we lose kwp we'll go from two first class right backs to zero. If Max Aarons signs that'll mitigate, but I'd rather we got a season out of livramento
  9. Makes sense. Why cup tie him when almost certain he won't stay. Wouldn't be surprised if kwp, jwp & Adams don't play either
  10. Lauren James was obviously taking inspiration from 2006 Rooney today.... Ffs
  11. How we saw out stoppage time was incredible! Well done Saints (Momentarily) top of the league 😎
  12. Surely we must have the record for fewest opening day wins each season? It's looking like we are going to continue that proud record tonight 😭 EDIT: Glad this comment aged well 😅
  13. Not a bad team that! Surprised Lavia isn't starting so I guess they think his heads not quite there.
  14. Apparently if you get a one day pass currently you get 12 months mobile sky sports access included gratis, so definitely an option worth considering if you're ok with watching most sport on your phone https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/1-day-sky-sports-membership-12-months-mobile-one-for-ps1198-4177063
  15. Signing up "internationally" should be easy enough. I wonder what countries don't have EFL rights?
  16. It's been a tournament of shocks so far! Germany join Brazil, Italy & Canada in being eliminated in the group stages, and the US only scrapped through. Seems a great opportunity even with our injuries for us to win, albeit a long way to go.
  17. I am amazed he hasn't left tbh. £20m for a very good FB who can play either side, is still only 26, and is proven in the Premier League. Ok he didn't have a great last season, but that represents a bargain in today's market.
  18. This also from that journalist. What happened to the West Ham of old that would spunk loads of money on any old crap?? I miss those days
  19. Fantastic win today, and great timing to find form before the knockouts! James looks a star in the making. Let's hope she's not quite as brittle as her brother has been in recent years
  20. You're right, we forgot racism doesn't exist in the good old USA. And maybe have a look at your own forums where people have come to the same conclusion as the above before trying to take the high and mighty approach. Feel free to stay there whilst you're at it.
  21. It's a bit weird that Tells leaving hasn't been leaked to a journalist if it was imminent. I hope we are holding out for £20m minimum at least. He seems happy enough here and was excellent in the same league last season.
  22. It's a fair comment, and Kane clearly isn't kicking up a fuss and may well get a move to Bayern anyway, albeit I doubt they would have been his first choice. On the flip side a lot can change in the 4-6 years players sign contracts for, and spurs were a lot stronger when he signed it.
  23. I may be a soft shite but I like the fact we are prepared to work with players who have been good servants to us to get the moves they would like. Both Romeu & Tadic are recent examples of this, Lambert as well many years ago. All players that were arguably worth more to us than the fees we got for them and left the club weaker overall, but shows we value them as human beings rather than as commodities. Compare that to how Levy clings onto Kane at Spuds...
  24. For those of us who just happen to have a device in the Netherlands, you can watch here https://www.az.nl/nl/nieuws/kijk-live-naar-southampton-az Dutch commentary (obviously)
  25. Absolute tosh. Many leaders are introverts. Jeff Bezos - the world's richest man and owner of Amazon for example. Barack Obama is another. That said, I don't think Armstrong is that sort of character anyway. He's a lead by example person, like JWP
