  1. Even if we staynup he's going to leave I'm sure. I reckon it'll be a minimum of £60m we sell him for, quite possibly pushing £80m if we get a bidding war.
  2. So any predictions as to how much we get for this kid in the summer? He's far too good for us
  3. Organ dropped 3 times apparently!! And he still only made 30odd. Vince dropped as well (that was a sitter), so fair to say northants are helping us out atm. Still gubbins and Vince both have 50s so we're looking good
  4. Nothing wrong with people riding recreationally, but if there was a sport that had a similar fatality rate for humans there's no way it would be tolerated. And at least humans would have the capacity to understand the inherent dangers associated with their participation and be able to make a decision as to whether they wanted to take part. The horses have no choice and are basically whipped to go faster and put themselves in even greater risk.
  5. It is certainly concerning that Vince doesn't appear to want to try to grind out an innings at the mo. Perhaps he wants to show he's a candidate for England's Bazball but if so he's doing a terrible job.... I do think Prest should be batting at 5 instead of Dawson, with Dawson pushed further down the order. Or drop Organ, promote Gubbins (he's basically playing as an opener atm anyway) and put Prest at 3 or 4 Thankfully we have some decent lower order batters who are digging us out of holes atm...
  6. Wish he was here to lamp a couple of our players atm...
  7. Only one of the top 4 looking any good so far this season.... Hopefully the ball is moving as much when Surrey bat.
  8. So Surrey were held to a draw today! Shows how important a great bowling attack is and we certainly have that. If some of our batters have good summers we will have a decent shot at the CC
  9. Sheesh I didn't realise how bad both challenges he made were... Either would be a straight red these days. Amazing he was only booked each time
  10. 2 balls into the new season and we dropped our first catch 😂 recovered well though and have notts 93-4 at lunch No Prest in the team, but we do have Middleton down to open. Good luck to him! He had a couple of decent knocks in the 50 over format last season
  11. https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/23432375.fuller-signs-new-contract-remain-hampshire/ More good news. I'm sure there were rumours Fuller may be leaving after last season? He was amazing last year and key in all formats
  12. It's clear Burnley are the ones that have done us a favour here.... Tella will likely be worth £15m at least at the end of the season. At the start of it we would have been lucky to get £5m for him

    Potter

If he manages again now it'll be Leicester... Think we'd have more chance in the summer if he takes a few months off. If we are in the championship we'd be an interesting challenge for sure with the young players we have on the books.
  14. I'd rather we keep Vince in his preferred 4 position, but would be happy with us giving that batting order a go. Hopefully Weatherly has a good year as he has the ability, but has never shown much consistency.
  15. I'm hoping Prest will be in the 1st team for the county championship. I guess we'll start him at 5 or 6 but hopefully he can become our number 3, maybe we can elevate Gubbins to open if he does well and our current openers continue to struggle
  16. Great news! Still need that opener though
  17. Lost 1-0 at home to top placed Bristol City. We seem to be really struggling to score at the moment...
  18. This is the correct answer for me. This season we are 4 points from 12th currently, so hardly a mountain to climb.
  19. Think the main thing they'll be concerned about is avoiding being sued... That'll be why Everton and Citeh will only get a slap on the wrist and a punishment that doesn't overly impact their status in the PL
  20. I'm sure it won't happen but they should be relegated if found guilty...
  21. Against Man U we were actually crossing the ball into the box!! So yes definitely a role for him I think. He knows where the goal is as well so think he'll come good yet
  22. KWP has received racist abuse after the game yesterday... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/64936987
  23. We need a performance on weds. Too often have we looked great against the top teams and rubbish against everyone else
  24. I suspect he would have made you nervous if he'd been playing for us as a 20 year old!
  25. There's a Shane Warne / Hampshire podcast on the BBC atm for anyone interested https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0f66rv8 Not listened myself but can't say I agree with the blurb (shown below) - really Hants have been a more serious outfit from the early 90s, and if anyone transformed Hants at the time we signed Warne it was Rod Bransgrove. Still, no doubting Warne was great for us "Marking the first anniversary of Shane Warne's death, we celebrate the life of one of cricket's biggest stars, who transformed one small, English, county cricket club - Hampshire. 'Shane Warne: A Hampshire Love Story' looks at how Warne changed Hampshire Cricket Club, taking it from an unambitious and amateur run county, to one that consistently competed for trophies and rose up the cricketing pyramid."
