They are catching up on subsequent days. Adding an extra 30mins to each day. Not sure if that means they are starting earlier or finishing later though
-
Back to the county championship. We're batting first, which seems like a good idea today given the heat! Going to be exhausting bowling today
-
Wouldn't want Dembele. He's made it clear he doesn't want to play here so we should listen to that and move on. There's no actual link to Dolberg is there?
-
Tbf very view people have called foul on it, and of those some will be out of sheer embarrassment at having lost the game. Most lancs fans seem to acknowledge Hants deserved it in the end
-
Little bit of whinging by Lancs on the final ball. Have to say it’s a bit ridiculous to suggest they ran a legitimate two…. https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/t20-blast-final-2022-lancashire-argue-final-ball-umpiring-error-cost-them-t20-blast-title-1325115 Edit: having watched the highlights again, it looks like McDermott has both the ball and one of the stumps in his hand at the bowlers end before the batsman completes the second run, so would have been a run out even if the umpires hadn’t dead balled it
-
On another note we are incredibly lucky to have Vince, both as a player and a captain. What a legend!
-
No, just that they cannot be caught or bowled off of the free hit which is the extra ball. They can still be run out off of it what an incredible end to a game. Between this and the win against Somerset in 2010 we have had a couple of incredible Finals! Absolutely loving it

Ironically, this thread was already split from one of the threads on the mens team, I think the Summer Transfer Window thread, as people derailed it to talk about the ladies there. The original complaint was that news headlines didn’t distinguish between the mens and ladies enough, and people felt that was “clickbaity”. Pretty much those same people are still all posting in here, despite the thread title helpfully stating this is about the womens game, which is what they wanted in order to ensure they knew what “not” to click on…. Now they want the womens game not to be debated at all on the main board, despite the Saints board being described as anything Saints related with no reference to just the Mens team being in scope. (Btw Saints have both players at the Euros and three games being hosted there, so it’s definitely related). This brings the thread total being actively discussed on the main board relating to the womens game to a grand total of 2, which I guess is far too many threads for people who aren’t interested to have to ignore. what can be surmised from all of this is up for debate, but IMVHO some people just have too much time on their hands

I cannot imagine Spurs not mentioning the buy back clause when they sold him to us, particularly with Levy at the helm. It gets the fans of the selling club excited that they can easily get the player back if he does well. Still I think it was the athletic who mentioned it first and they aren't usually wrong about these things. I think it may be academic anyway ATM as I think Spuds will want to invest elsewhere - or maybe I just hope that's the case!
-
I don’t think Sunak will win as he won’t have media support (I.e. the express and the mail), so it’s whoever gets to face him in the final two. Have to agree I’ve never seen Mordaunt speak - maybe that’s her advantage though given how dense so many senior tories seem to be at the moment… people assume she must be vaguely competent as they’ve never heard from her!

The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.

The counter argument to this is that if an election needed to be called there is no way the BoJo would have been ousted in the first place. There's no perfect solution but this is the lesser of two evils -
Very good day today! Looks highly unlikely Surrey will be able to win and we are obviously in the driving seat. Got to keep up the pressure tomorrow

Was just about to post something similar. The main goal for Dibling is to make it as a professional footballer at the highest possible level, not to break into the Chelsea first team - that would just be a bonus and a sign he’s a really great player. Playing with the best paid, and therefore likely much better than average, coaches - as well as alongside some of the best players in his age bracket gives him the best chance of this. The money thing is just a bonus
-
Don’t get me wrong, I do rate our academy - the likes of Dibling prove it’s worth. However it is just another world where we can aim to be best of the rest, but cannot afford to compete with the likes of Chelsea and City who pay the best rates for both coaches and players, as well as facilities. Sadly for me it’s a no brainier for a player to join one of those two over Saints
-
Not what I would call a first teamer, but obvs that’s up for interpretation. Compared to players like Mount, James, Tomori, Sancho, Foden and others though it’s clear to me which academies offer the better option for a player to develop currently
-
Your post contradicts itself… you say it’s just for money, then say Chelsea are great at developing young talent! I think any young player should be aiming to join Chelsea or Man City. They’ve got the best coaches at that level and the volume of top level players they produce is much higher than average clubs. Throw in the greater wage packet and it’s a no brainier. And when they’re 18-21 clubs like Saints will buy them so they get 1st team football We still haven’t produced a first teamer from the academy since Shaw….
-
I can only see us getting him on a loan with an option tbh.... Other clubs will blow us out of the water on transfer fees otherwise
-
James Fuller has been outstanding this season! Who saw that coming??
-
Redmond got the 2nd most assists for us last season, whilst not playing a lot at the end of it. He's frustrating, but unless we get some creative players in we should keep him IMO
-
There is no way we're spending £20m on a RB....
-
If any young player goes to Newcastle it’s going to be for the money and because they’re not good enough for either Chelski or Citeh’s youth teams. They have little to no academy rep to speak of, and they way they are supposedly spending money it’s hard to see a solid pathway to first team football. All that said, if you’re offered a 3 year contract at £6.5k a week you’d be hard pressed to turn it down. Hopefully he stays but understandable if he does take the money
-
It’ll be Bednarek - pretty certain he’s the only one likely to raise any kind of fee (Salisu excepted, but hopefully we’re keeping him) I do think Bednarek is a good defender, but he doesn’t particularly suit how we play, so probably for the best for all parties if he did move on
-
Delap it is then!
-
I agree but its also possible that it’s harder to do deals for established pros early in the transfer window. Once other teams get their signings over the line it may create possibilities for a move for fringe players at the bigger clubs who can give us a bit of experience

Do you run that account? You're always very quick to repost on here. Regardless, thanks for your efforts in posting these links on here. I'm sure I'm not the only one who looks out for them
