  1. Yeh they do, but most go through that route, plus Haland is like one of Europes best wonderkids so I'd be surprised if he came here. He's a 6' 4", 18 year old, who is also pretty quick as well, those are highly coveted attributes for strikers seeing as everyone wants to play 1 guy up there and having someone who can hold up the ball, win balls in the air and run quick in behind is very rare. If he doesn't go to Leipzig, I'd expect one of the super clubs to snap him in the next couple of years if he keep progressing. He's also only just joined Salzburg in January IIRC
  2. Wasted talent, spent too much time on loan to various clubs, should have left city years ago. Couldn't even get regular games for Girona last year so be surprised if he does anything for Norwich.
  3. I'd presume as a RB Salzburg player he'll probably end up as a Leipzig player.
  4. Yeh but don't call it 'ultras' because that associates it with violent, racist idiots that many European clubs have. Some more passionate supporters adding more atmosphere is fine, as long as its just that, not some excuse to throw things on the pitch and beat people up etc.
  5. Interesting piece on the BBC, did not know that Klopp had lost 6 finals in a row as manager, of course queue all the victim Liverpool fans to claim its an anti-Liverpool piece by the BBC. Oh and of course if you don't want Liverpool to win you are 'bitter'.

    Nathan Redmond

Dier is an awful midfielder IMO, he lacks the ability to control and hold the ball under pressure and makes a lot of errors against a quality midfield press. He's a centre-back who is decent on the ball in reality. he's big and strong yes, but he lacks ability with the ball, with Rice there I doubt he'll get near the team any time soon. Henderson is having a purple patch of form, so I can see why he is there, but if he goes back to his old self, especially for England then JWP can easily offer more. Delph is just not very good full stop, he might be faster than JWP but that is about it, he's technically worse, offers little offensively, isn't particularly creative either. He's spent most of the last year or so playing as a left back and even then Zinchenko has ousted him from that role. Even with Fernandinho injured often, he hasn't even got a look in under Guardiola. And Barkley is IMO just over rated, he's had opportunities playing in an advanced midfield role for a good team and aside the odd game has done very little. He's got ability, but lacks the brain IMO, apparently he is very dumb IRL, and it shows, his football intelligence is poor, his decision making is poor. JWP is the complete opposite, hes a very switched on and tactically aware player, its why so many of our managers like him because he can quickly take on board and execute their plans on the pitch, in the modern game that is what you want from your midfielders. If JWP keeps his form up he can easily replace any of them to be honest, as they are average at best players and have particularly for England been meh, Henderson and Delph are both approaching their 30s, they are not going to get any better, Barkley is going to struggle to get into that Chelsea team long term as well. Lingaard is IMO the least likely one he'll replace as Lingaard offers pace, movement and work rate, plus is a decent finisher, he can also cover most of those attacking roles. Like someone above said I think Southgate is just sticking with the group that did so well in the World Cup and Nations League, once its over we'll see I reckon. If JWP has a full season like the last 6 months hes had, he is easily ahead of those players IMO, can long term see him establishing himself next to Rice in England's midfield as the competition is so weak there. But he has to kick on, he's had these spells before and hasn't progressed.

Delph, Barkley and Dier, I think you could make an argument JWP should be ahead of them, Barkley had a meh season and was in and out of the team, Delph has barely played and Dier I think has never looked very good for England, seems very slow and ponderous on the ball when in midfield and strikes me more as a centre back, not a good CM. Lingaard as well in and out of that Utd team, injury issues, is probably lucky. England really lack quality in centre-mid, so I think JWP if he keeps up his form under Ralph could get in there, because to be honest none of them are that good, Henderson seems to be having some sort of renaissance but again is another player who looks poor for England for me. Redmond more understandable, I mean for those wide attacking positions Sancho and Sterling are nailed on after the seasons they have had, Rashford can also play there and be a striker option so hard to see him getting a look in. I feel Southgate is going for the same players that did well in the nations league before and wants them to have a chance in the finals, be interesting to see how he goes about the qualifiers.
  8. I can only presume that fee is a lot of add ons as I can't see a League 1 club turning that down. That would be like the 3rd highest transfer ever out of League 1 I think and it would be for a player who could leave on a free in a year.
  9. Not exactly in the best team, I mean they finished 17th, and 3 goals and 3 assists would effectively make him one of our best attackers. Especially as Redmond got what 6 goals and 4 assists, and played about 1200 more minutes than Boufal.
  10. With 4-5 premier league teams after him he probably is.

Cos that point is ridiculous based on nothing, i mean ffs you dont think money going OUT of the club to a sponsor, who money is supposed to come in from would be very obvious. Until we have any evidence these are all just wild speculations being made on very little.
  12. Not only does Seferovic have a poor goal record before this year, so there are worries about him being a one season wonder, but I also wonder how much of his excellent season owes to playing up front with Jao Felix, the wonder kid that pretty much every club in Europe wants. Plus Portgual is a bit like the Dutch league, its always a gamble getting someone who scores lots of goals for one of those big clubs in that league, remember van wolfswinkel that IIRC Norwich paid a record fee for after he had scored some goals for Sporting. He managed 1 goal for them.

Yep this is the key point, if they go bust then we just get another one, probably will barely take a hit for it and the level of income is not that high.
  14. I reckon he'll see out his contract, not like there is much to motivate him these days, he's won four champions leagues and its not like Wales will drop him anytime soon, they'll probably appreciate he'll be fit and fresh for them.
  15. Isn't it just older ex-player falls out of favour at the club, so is likely to move, so lets just link him to his old club? They do this all the time, and we have not signed any of these ex-players we have been linked with. Smells more like a West Ham signing to me, he can keep Wilshere company in the physio room talking about their £120k a week.
  16. Bit weird spending £20 million a player that can't even get into a not very good Everton side, have to hope Ralph is able to tempt his Leipzig form out of him.
  17. Don't have any expectations until we know who we sign and who we keep. We've seen with Ralph in charge, plus probably a full pre-season to work on the players more, we can probably expect like 45 ish points, maybe a little more, a little less. So mid table obscurity, probably a little skirt with relegation in the worst scenario. With some key signings, top 10 or more is realistic, maybe even competing for that 7th spot.
  18. The video is fine, I like that our marketing people try a bit harder. The kits are ok aside the home kit which is ruined by that black bit across the top, and the new sponsor looks just odd but not much we can do about that.

All a bit weird, we'll just have to see what happens, sadly at the end of day we are fans of a business owned by a private individual who is able to do what he wants. People should keep asking questions but I doubt we'll know much, the owner has not said much so far and IF this is some sort of Chinese state influence, they are never going to admit it. Of course it could all just be a bit more simple and just be some rich person wanting to launch a new sports company and thinking that premier league exposure is the way to do it so just flashed the club some money, worry I suppose with that thinking would be that the finances for the deal will probably be staged across the years and if this new company doesn't get off the ground we'll end up needing a new sponsor. Could also be a betting company pretending to not be a betting company to try to get around some betting rules.
  20. This, very clear that once safety was achieved the team slacked off a little, which is has now enabled the whingers to come out in force and declare everyone is rubbish. Funny when we are beating people they are all stum but suddenly a few draws and these pathetic creatures come out of the woodwork.
  21. I see the same old negative nobodies are out in force jumping on the chance to criticise everyone because we didn't win, I truly wonder why some of you are fans. Meaningless game, the team has clearly been on the beach for a few weeks and after our horrible start under Hughes staying up was the only objective, which was achieved fairly comfortably. But yeh lets just slag off the whole team, they are rubbish blah, blah, even though they are clearly not and have performed mid table under Ralph.
  22. Was really hoping Ajax would go through, nothing against Spurs to be honest, they are out of the big 6 IMO the ones that are there more on merit and effort, not just raw spending. But Ajax winning a Champions League would have shown there is some soul left in modern football, not just a corporate entity that is very little about sport but about money these days. A team full of young players, many home grown, some 'rejects' from bigger leagues and on a budget that I think is smaller than Cardiffs would have been this year, would have been something quite remarkable. It would have been akin to Leicesters league win. I also think they had more chance of beating Liverpool, Spurs are too familiar for Liverpool and I expect pool to brush them aside. Sadly not to be. Hope Spurs win it, like I said, less 'bought', I like more of their players, their fans are less annoying, the media loves them less and of course Poch, but can't see it, Liverpool are just a lot better than them. God forbid City eff up at the weekend, the summer would be unbearable if Liverpool won both.
  23. I'd be surprised if a right back is a priority, I think Valery is pretty much nailed on first choice now, they seem to like him a lot and yes he makes mistakes but I think they are willing to accept that as long as he keeps improving. I then think Ramsey (who is also highly rated) and JWP will provide the cover. Presuming of course we can shift Cedric. I just can't see us paying like £15-20 million for a right back to shove Valery out of the team after they gave him a new contract and said how impressed they have been with him. Especially as I think more focus is going to be put on developing our own now we have a manager who can improve players. I'd reckon clear focus is probably on centre-back as we need a real quality player there, then a quality pacey attacker, maybe two (one more striker focused), then I reckon another DM as well.
  24. Neither his 2nd or third foul was yellow card worthy, they were just fouls and 3 fouls in a game is not really persistent fouling. If people starting picking up two yellows and reds for that, we'd have like 8 a side games to be honest. A lot worse decisions going on than that last night, which is why VAR will be good, in the end there will be more correct decisions.
  25. Whoever wins the league generally they have bought it, if its City, Liverpool, Chelsea or Utd, they bought it over the last 10 years or so. Only really Leicester is the exception, maybe Spurs if they ever win it. Liverpool have spent like over £500 million over the last 3 seasons, more I believe than City
