Thanks for all the advice and links etc, much appreciated! Gonna go for a Bird for the MTB and quite clearly need to spend more time looking into the roadies as there's a fair bit to get right and I've never really spent any time on 1. With regards the prices, especially the roadie, I'm not really that fussed if it costs a bit as at the end of the day they'll be kept for years so the cost over X amount of years is relatively small.
