The "who do we think should be in goal on Saturday" thread
ART replied to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache's topic in The Saints
Dropping Gazza now in favor of either Kelvin or Boroc would have the same effect on Gazza as previously when Bartosz was dropped after he'd had a decent run. We lost a potentially good goalkeeper by a move that should not be repeated. -
Really gutted as I was expecting a good input from Jack in the Premier League. Meethinks he ought to get our old friend Radhi to fix up some recuperation for Jack in Tunisia. The dry warm climate can only do him the world of good.

The world has truly lost a beautiful person and amazing singer. R.I.P. Andy Williams My favorite version of The Exodus Song written by Pat Boone and Ernest Gould for the film Exodus

A true gentleman of soccer. Thoughts are with all the family, you'll be greatly missed. Today's game owes a lot to the legacy of John Bond. R.I.P. John.

What do you expect when George was insisting on communicating from home ( via London) to Cyprus rather move the missus out there!!!
-
The whole thing smells strongly of Clifford and his belief you can turn ordinary players into big stars and his mentor Sir Clive Woodward's interference in managing the club. Didn't work then and although it's got us 2 promotions back to the Premier League, it's just not going to work this time around. Find it hard to believe all that Reed is saying. Rather like he's downplaying Nigel's role and bigging up his own importance.

Photos of William urinating against a wire fence revealing his royal majesty in full glory have circulated the net for the past 3-4 years,so why all of a sudden all this hoo ha about Harry and now Kate. Another of Cameron's schemes to devert attention from the economy if you ask me.
-
Metro articles are usually agent talk so perhaps Boruc is available. My Celtic director friend doesn't rate him any longer and says we shouldn't bother. Anyone has to be better than Kelvin as he's playing at the moment.
-
I presume Adam is team captain, so who holds the Club captain post. Definitely don't think the added pressure of captain does anything to Adam's playing ability. Maybe a distraction from the stress of his missus giving birth.
-
Speaks of desperation but signing him for the rest of the season whilst waiting to sign a long term Davis replacement next transfer window would be a good deal.
-
Sorry Norm and Eurosaint, but traditionally Saints beat the top 3 or 4 clubs and lose to the likes of relegation strugglers, non entities and the Wigans of the League. Here we have a scenario where we lost to the top 3 and Wigan. So what can we expect in the months to come? Pink Champagne and Soda Pop PS I forgot to mention the obvious. Traditionally we've always had bad starts to the season where Christmas Humble Pie is on the menu for the weak hearted.

I didn't survive and successfully conduct business in China for 20 years without learning that things are not at all as straight forward as they seem. The recent conspiracy about the murder of British businessman wasn't as one off as it seemed. It was my ability to read beyond the surface that earned me the nickname of the Fox by Chinese colleagues and business opponents. Without this ability I would never have survived, and, especially in Shanghai, top businessmen from across the world have failed miserably, failing to be able to read a situation. Even in Europe, the UK, our lives are interwoven by spring pulling and pay backs and favors. He, who thinks, that Obama or Cameron are the top men are naive. Behind the scenes they are controlled and manipulated. Concerning my post, I have maintained right from the takeover, my belief Cortese was convinced of the Saints potential by someone. Throughout, others on here, will confirm I have suspected that being Rupert Lowe. At the same time I recall very well as the hopes of being saved, reached the level of hopeless, that Harry Redknapp issued a statement, that Saints were a tremendous investment, that he had recommended the Saints to a top investor. Almost, within days, Cortese and Liebherr, arrived on the scene. The scenario of Harry is just a supposition based on what I recall at the time. That Harry now is mentioned as being Cortese's chosen option to replace Nigel, lends possibility that it was indeed Harry who convinced Cortese to seek Markus Liebherr's investment. What no longer exists amongst Saintsweb members is the respect and consideration of the opinions, hunches, thoughts of fellow member. I often throw thinking into a discussion to generate fresh input and opinions from others. I refrain nowadays from humor or being sarcastic as some younger know-it-all types have too fragile personalities to see the over seriousness or funny side of a situation. Each full member is equal and has paid to participate in the discussion, yet too often, this is not allowed by bullies who try to restrict the opinions of others. If you don't agree with what is posted, ignore, say respectfully one doesn't agree, reply expressing constructively one's own thoughts.

I have great confidence in Jack Cork's abilities and can only hope he will be Nigel's trump card and things will fall into place.
-
I always had the strong feeling that it was Lowe that convinced Cortese that Saints were a great investment. Their style of management is too similiar. Yet I recall. during Administration when we were close to folding, how Harry Redknapp said Saints were a fine investment and he had spoken to a contact who was showing interest. Was it Redknapp who convinced Cortese to speak to Markus Liebherr? Is this why the rumors of Cortese having spoken to Redknapp and lining him up to replace Nigel were doing the rounds after our poor pre season results? Les Reed, like Redknapp is a Londoner and maybe the two of them have links through Frank Lampard. Interestingly, Reed, on the books of 3 clubs, never played a League game for any of them. Hard to believe he now is an Executive Director, one of 4 on the board. Yes, Topcat, Reed could be a/the cause of th problems.

So will a lot of those players on parade today if we don't find a solution quickly.
-
It's just dawned on me that bar Paul Sturrock nearly every ex Saints manager in the past 15 years is unemployed and available to return should Adkins be pushed out the door. Favorites have to be Glenda and Harry ......LOL
-
I get the feeling that no one at the club, like 99% of us supporters, realised there was no loan window in the Premier League. Otherwise the failure to strengthen the defense and goalkeeper positions is totally beyond belief.
-
Anyone tell me what Cortese, Adkins and his backup team of transfer elves were doing when Wayne Bridge was being touted around for a loan. A player who would have benefited us as well as a return to his spiritual abode.
-
Paying out 30 million and finishing 17th is just not on. Teams have come up and hardly spent anything and got by. We no longer have excuses and after the two Manx games today was a huge setback in Adkins strategy and planning. Fox did move across into the center for a while I thought he did far better there than our actual defenders. Ramirez was okay but will need to do far more to show his worth. Villa won today so it's definitely not going to be an easy game. * Forgot to mention what a beautiful little gem Prowsey is proving to be. Amazing play once again.
-
Would be sorry to see Adkins go. Feel it's his nappy changers such as Reid who need to move on. Can see Harry Redknapp doing a good job as Head of Football Development and Support at Southampton and advising Nigel thru this first season in the Premier League. Not popular but honestly believe this calls for someone of Harry's knowledge of the game.,
-
Can't believe that Adkins hasn't moved to rectify his weak team selection. Bar a miracle it's gonna to be bye bye Nigel, sooner than thought. Abysmal!
-
Can you imagine it turns out to be BlackAdder? Really enjoying following this project. The mind boggles at the thought of a complete DNA testing on all Royal graves. Just think at what that might turn up. One day science and the DNA databank will be able to link up who are the true heirs to the throne, who got there by their parents hanky panky on the side.

I would go as far as to say, your time working under Graham has gone a long way towards building your integrity and being always to the fore in fighting for injustice and things you don't support or believe in. I remember differing on your opinion of Graham at the time he was forced and manipulated but certainly you've learned a great deal from Mister Hiley.
-
Graham was indeed a top class chap, until he got swallowed up in Rupert Lowe's propaganda and became the manipulated puppet hand writing the devils blue print for the future. When that happened it was a sad day for Graham, and an even sadder day for Southampton Football Club. I never fully understood why Graham didn't resign rather than put into writing things he could never have believed or supported. I guess needing a job, having a family to feed overruled Graham's otherwise unquestionable integrity.

Billy Sharp - Joins Notts Forest on Season Long Loan
ART replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
Where did I allocate fault to Billy? Quite the opposite and I sincerely wished he could have been allowed to prove the doubters wrong. For me he was born to make it big in the Premier :eague.
