Stelling was a good friend of Rupert so his affiliation with Saints goes back a long way. Top man.

Thank you so much for posting. I've also found the article in other languages. I've friends whose 97 year old mother's situation is causing them great concerns and feelings of not knowing how to cope with her. She is at home, bedridden, unable even to feed herself and crying continuously. I hope these words will bring comfort to all concerned.

Forgot to mention, one glimmer of hope is that Stoke beat Newcastle tonight leaving the Geordies 2 points ahead of us with clear indications they are heading further and further downwards. Come January they lose 8 players to our 1 and the African Cup.
-
Disappointing but have to say Norwich played well and kept their head. Sad that we are level in points with December 2004 with the same number of games. We lost the next 3 till the Almighty Redknapp took over. May I remind everyone we got relegated that season with 32 points. We'll need to do a lot better if we're going to beat the drop. Like 2005, our hopes lie in our success in the transfer window and picking up enough points. Like to think tonight the lads were tired and it's just a blip. Time will tell

Talk to any Celtic supporter and I think they'll tell you Boruc is the biggest clown in football. Gazza made an incredible save in the 2nd half but you can't give the lad credit for that. Few goalkeepers are perfect but one thing Gazza is not, and that's a clown. He's learning and learning fast. Were you never young delldays? Did you reach where you are today by never making any mistakes?

Happy Birthday to Saints greatest Mick Channon. It's his birthday today 28th November.

For the Oldies! (Those at the dell in the 70's like me)

Well one thing I did see is that today, 28 November is MICK CHANNON'S Birthday. Shame only just saw this as everyone at the game could have given him a big rousing rendition of " HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICK" Hoping tonight there will be plenty of Windmill celebrations by Saints player. Happy Birthday to Southampton's greatest. -
We got relegated in May 2005. Here is the Premiership table in 2004 after the same number of games as of today. Identical number of points and another 3 games before Harry took over. We're still very much in it and as for QPR it will be a miracle if he keeps the up http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/premier-league/2004-2005/table/2004-11-14

Can't be any worse than Sunderland and QPR. It's so slow I'm falling asleep.

Seeing the Skates trained out at Eastleigh, maybe our partnership is aimed at them doing the same with Eastleigh in future, Or better still maybe Saints are moving to take over the Skates and put them completely off the map

Listening to Sports Bar on TalkSport late last night and was surprised to hear them including Saints players in their teams of the week. Biggest surprise was Bobby Gould selecting GAZZA as his goalkeeper saying he's coming on fast and Sunday was brilliant. Ramirez, Adam were also chose in Andy Goldstein's selection. Well done GAZZA, very much deserved. Got a feeling the club's discovered a "litte" gem
-
TALKSPORT have been talking about Harry and Saints all day. Seems we'd played 13 games when he took us over and had 12 points (QPR have 4points) Maybe he'll pay a Karmatic debt to us for getting us relegated by ensuring QPR go down and don't get more points than Saints.

Thought it is good of Pardew to have signed a new 8 year contract well in time to yesterdays game. The Geordies have been on a downward spiral ever since. Cortese should take note about going for Europe too soon. Far better to establish ourselves in the Premier League, allowing more of the Academy lads to develop and provide us with a strong side with the right priorities,.

The Rolling Stones perform at the 02 Arena in London on Nov 25, 2012 at the start of their 50th Anniversary Tour. Can't believe they sound better than ever. "Sympathy for the Devil..LIVE" Version 2012 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v7_49_yeDCQ&feature=player_embedded#!

I have rejoiced to see come back to the club and show just how good he is. I think having his mate Clyne at the club has helped to restore his shattered psyche and release the fireball in him. He was once again phenomenal today and my mind boggles just how far he is going to go during the rest of the season. "Jason, you're a fireball You came back and showed just what you're worth See him go, as he races down the line Oh, Oh, Oh Jason what a fireball"

Mirror reporting Harry has signed a 3 year deal to manage QPR. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/harry-redknapp-agrees-three-year-1452667

Read a statue of Pope John Paul II is to have it's head redone after appearing more like Mussolini than John Paul II. One wonders whether the artists don't do such things deliberately. With Christmas fast approaching everytime I see a Santa I am reminded of the true Saints Santa, Markus Liebbherr and give thanks for his generosity and warm heart.

Anyone seen this disgusting interview with Abramovitch on why he sacked Di Matteo............. to cause him pain and suffering for spoiling Abramovitch's evening on his luxury Yacht. The guy ought to be shot. https://www.facebook.com/talksport?ref=ts&fref=ts
-
@chelseafc Merry Christmas Mister Abramovitch. Yet another Savior slaughtered in true Abramovitch and Chelsea FC Christmas Spirit.
-
Like with the Saints supporters anger with Adkins recently, Chelsea fans will be too scared to protest in mass for fear of Abramovich pulling out his financial backing of the club. I shall raise my hat to any that are honest and open enough to tell Abramovich what they think of him and his constant culling of managers. Can't believe he'll be able to get away yet again with firing a decent manager who has served their club in exemplary fashion. |Money or sport, big bucks or football?
-
Poor Di Matteo. Abramovich swopped his contracts and put him on 6 months trial period with no compensation. How disgusting can that man get when Di Matteo worked his arse off for Chelsea. Grrrrrr!!!!!
-
Just how low are our supporters going to get in supporting and encouraging our squad. Even at the best of times this is not intelligent discussing things that few personally know the first thing about. Least of all on the main board of the the official supporters forum. Shame on all those who've replied, and that includes you Charlie. You ought to know better than most about feelings and how to destroy a persons confidence. Puncheon frequently gives interviews and doesn't come across as dumb or thick. Sensitivity, confidence in ones talent and ability isn't the same as being of low intelligence or thick.

I am proud to read of your agreement and that you see the same people regurgitating negativity no matter what season or occasion. As I posted a few weeks back your posts are a inspiration and show immense depth in your concern and love for Southampton Football Club. -

Never realised so many GRAVEDIGGERS were amongst the heart of this forums posters, then and currently. A sad reflection of the direction some people want to take the club. The direction is forward and upwards. -
Maybe this will close the celebration worries of certain persons. Ricky was amongst the first group of players to congratulate Jason.
