Exactly what I thought when I read the news. Would be the perfect posting fror Nigel.

The biggest mistake made this season was appointing Adam as Captain. He's just not up to taking on this role and seems to have given him the right to run all over the place, pushing other players into a supporting role and then screwing up whatever transpires. Why Pochettino reverted to Adam as Captain after Ricky had done such a good job leaves me thinking Cortesé must have interfered with Adkins and then Pochettino in making Adam Captain. The sooner he gets to playing class football without his head filled by what he mistakenly thinks he should do in the role of Captain the better for Adam and the team. Give me Ricky or José Fonte anyday.

Let's not forget that it was the return of Jack Cork that transformed our results and gave us a chance of staying up. Cork's role should never be under estimated. On a sad note Adam Lallana's absence led to our best run and his return, for me, has seen us lose the stability and ability to score goals. Puncheon is vital at this time to us scoring and deserves a mention.

Norwich City 0-0 Southampton // Post-Match Reaction
ART replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
The players did better today especially seeing they were handicapped by Pochettino inapt team selection and totql inability to once again come up with a game plan to counter Norwich and win. His substitutions show he's out of his depth, hasn't got a clue. I agree entirely with Wes Tender's assessment of the situation and it's going to get worse in the remaining games. Pochettino brings to Saints on of the worst hopes for the future of any previous manager. He has a full squad but is incapable of picking a winning team. Ricky Lambert was one of the best captain choices whilst Lallana brings absolute nothing to the position and ends up like a headless chicken as a result. What player can be influenced and inspired by the way Adam is carrying on? -
Thank the Lord thsat it's the FA Cup but Wigan are thrashing Everton 3-0, all golas scored within 10 minutres

Due to health issues I rarely drink wine these days except when eating out with friends. I'm surprised there's been no mention of Rosé, and less found Gris wines which are growing in popularity. I understand the effect TopGun gets with some red wines/ In the past 10 years some reds cause me to have a cramp seizure in my right hand and lower arm. It's very painful and takes some time to free my fingers from the cramp. The doctor just laughed and shrugged when I tried to find out the reason. It was only one day whilst eating a lot of white grapes and having the same cramp appear, That Google provided me with the answer. It's the high potassium levels found in grapes and some wines that cause the cramps. I was particularly partial to CORBIERE, found also in white and rosé besides the normal high quality reds for regular drinking. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corbi%C3%A8res_AOC For special occasions I loved Medoc Reds, in particular Pauillac and Chateau LaTour. Rather pricey if you want a decent quality

Considering the number of injured, sick or players fraining near death experience, brought in under Rupert, I have to conclude Rupert was more humane and had a heart and feeling for the afflicted.
-
Disgusted. Loyal player but Adkins was loyal and look where it got him. Going for Europe? All in Cortesé's fantasies. We have yet to sign a decent player since promotion. Ramirez, the biggest mistake ever,

Those on Twitter please Tweet this link to people in positions to influence public support to end this atrocious inhumane treatment of animals in China. During 20 years living there I witnessed many cruel treatments towards animals, but this is horrific. Thanks Saint_Clark for posting and bringing awareness to us all.

He was brought in as an expert, (defense) a supposed improvement on Nigel. What time does he need when we were playing well and had a near settled team. plus a new center back and now players returned from injury (that Nigel didn't have_. He's getting worse not improving.

I have laughed my head off seeing Saint_Charlie yet again in his role of the "VICAR OF BRAY"
-
He's turned into a headless chicken and others in the squad when Adam plays as captain are following his style. He should never have been given the role of captain. Ricky and José in the role of captain are perfect
-
I will not hear anyone say Luke Shaw was s h i t. He was set up and exposed by Pochettino's substitutions. Guly and Steve Davis should have replaced Lallana and Ramirez, giving Shaw the support and cover he was used to under Adkins. Pochettino is only exposing players in order for him and his cronies to flood the squad with players from Spain and Argentina before buggering off.

No matter the results last week and yesterday, I would have posted the Ides of March post ass I've done since 2001. Each year, it has held a lot of relevance to some people linked to the club and they tend to fall foul to this time of the year. Pochettino's appointment was really bad timing and having given Nigel the benefit of the doubt (rather deceitfully) we should have stuck with him. Pochettino did well with Nigel's team but since he's had to change things he's come out of it dreadfully. He's incapable to date, apart the Man City half time changes to read the game and change things about. Nigel was finally overcoming this shortcoming. He had the time. Unfortunately, Pochettino doesn't have th luxuxy of the time to do so. Our Premier League status is at high risk of suffering from Cortesé's encounter with the Ides of March, pay back for his treatment of Adkins.
-
One thing hasn't been mentioned. Pochettino is supposed to be an expert of defending and defending techniques. Why did our defense fail today so miserably. why aren't we making progress in this area where Adkins had sorted things out and lacked players. To hear Pinocchio using the excuse and blaming injuries so early in his tenure beggars belief
-
He also is found in defense when our opponents get a corner and we need extra support. Ricky plays out on the wing in order to put over good passes to other players. Sometimes he's too tied down in front of goal so by moving out he can add something extra to goal opportunities by his ability to find his target.
-
Guly should have replaced Adam and Steve Davis come on for Ramirez. QPR would never have won had Pinocchio Pochetti done so.
-
Team selection was appalling considering Fonté was back. Didn't even have decent backups on the bench. Rarely seen Riiky and some others making such poor passing. I can't see this experiment going much further. Reid has a lot to answer for, as he's be the one responsible for bringing Pochettino over. He was over in Barcelona on several occasions last summer. At the time we thought he was scouting players. Obviously not. Saints will never be a force in football until we bring in someone of less dubious experience and achievements. Gutted after realising that Pochettino hasn't a clue
-
Yes, and tell Nigel to bring along his very sharp secateurs to lop off Cortesé's b o ll ocks whilst he's at it.
-
Having read this yesterday and seeing today's play by some players, especially the poor passing, I can believe that not everyone is behind Pochettino. Like myself and many others reading that Nigel hasn't received a settlement appalls me. I am sure some players will have been effected by this too. Nigel doesn't deserve this, he deserves the 100% decency that he himself put into the past 3 years. We haven't heard the end of this or the effect it will have on morale, players and supporters.
-
Senor Pochettino, your period of good luck has come to an end. We now face the period of every season where things get nasty, doesn't go to plan. Ask Rupert Lowe, or Glenn Hoddle, ask so many past managers, even Nigel had to really step it up to get us promoted last season. This is the Year of the Snake, one where Karma really takes it toil. Pochettino took up the deadly challenge, where Adkins was stabbed in the back. Mister Cortesé what awaits your fortune and destiny at this IDES OF MARCH 2013?
-
Pochettino has no plan, no understanding or reading of the game. Shameful if this is who is supposed to take us into Europe.
-
Ha ha!!! Fox wearing diapers!!! Must have s h I t himself.
-
This is not the guy who's going to take us anywhere. Nigel was getting it right and Pochettino just used his team selection and choice of subs.

In the past week every Tom, **** and Harry has claimed to have spotted and his talent been a part of Gareth's start in football. I even thought of sending in my own claim. What amazes me that one person who had perhaps ht biggest part in Gareth's earlier career and responsible for keeping him at the club longer to improve his game has been strangely absent. MICHAEL WILDE, former chairman was Gareth's sponsor financially even before Wilde invested and became part of the club. It was Michael Wilde who convinced him and signed him to his first professional contract, refusing to cash in on him. Their relationship was, and maybe still is, very close. ( I am reminded of this everytim4 I see Bale wqlking onto the pitch and his talking manner during interviews.) SANTS FANS CAN BE MIGHTY PROUD OF HELPING IN THE FORMATION OF SUCH A FINE FOOTBALLER.
