He doesn't shave often and has to be the scruffiest manager around on match days. He can do three week crash course during the summer. If not in Southampton, plenty of good language schools in Barcelona. His problem is he is rarely not without his Spanish speaking assistants and missus when off duty.

Di Canio is making a complete idiot of Harry and a lot of other managers. Bet Reading are kicking themselves whilst QPR really have been caught with their shorts down where Harry is concernedl

Wouldn't make any difference in the case of Lallana and Ramirez and he'd probably do just great.
-
Ramirez or Lallana for me.
-
Fantastic achievement for Howe seeing where they started when he returned. Will be great if Brighton succeed thru the play-offs although that aren't one of my favorites but are southerners
-
Lallana, Ramirez.....NO COMMENT. Fox cleared beautifully towards the end what could have given Swansea a goal otherwise. As the commentators mentioned over and over we didn't exploit down the left side and left Davis out of the game. Knowing our luck the entire team will have picked up Measles and put the entire squad to bed.

After what Pochettino has achieved with Rodriguez I only wish he'd give others out on loan the once over and the chance of hands on coaching. The name who comes to mind is Billy Sharp before it's too late.

Th latest polls here in France show that only 18% of the French public believe Francois Hollande is capable of governing. This is the lowest showing for a French President since WWII. Eslewhere Sarkozy hqs 40 % support and Marie de Pen leader of the Front National has 21%. Far cry from the massive support Hollande had in the Presidential election last year. The situation is so dire that most are calling for the dissolution of the 5th Republic, in place since 1958 and the creation of a 6th Republic. The reaction has been the opening this morning of the process of Libyan financing of Sarkozy's election campaign. Why does Cameron and Co get away with blue murder and corruption?

Matt Holland playing really well and seems to be reviving interest from Saints

Worked in KL for 3 months and not somewhere I'd go by choice. Crime is rampant and one needs to take care whilst out at night. On the contrary Penang is far better in every way. Heaven on earth and bars, clubs, restaurants and beaches as good as anywhere.

Nice one Julian. I listen thru the night to the French radio stations. Have loved this one for ages but never knew till now who sang it. Do you know the English lad Julian Perretta who's really successful here in France. He's pretty young and really done well. He writes vhis own material although some sounds like steals from Olly Murs. Here's one of his hits Stitch me up

One of my favorites. The beautiful opening scenes and "EVERY MAN" (" Tous Les Hommes") from the French Pop opera of "Gone with the Wind." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBYVIJipYMs

24 years ago I was in Beijing as another immense tragedy was unfolding, the 1989 Beijing Spring and the students uprising which began with so much hope and ended in the bloody tragedy of June 4th. I wasn't to learn of the tragic events at Hllsborough till many months later. yet I rejoice that after all this time justice is finally being done. I only hope some day there will also be justice and the truth about the events of Tienanmen

CCTV cameras have picked up Millwall fans openly taking cocaine according to the Standard. This definitely isn't acceptable and doesn't show at bit of spirit. Kids will soon be prevented by parents attending unless this is not snipped in the bud.

Have to agree 100%, and meant to comment on how excellent he was today.

Can someone tell me when ever did we win a game with Lallana starting and being captain? Once more he ran about like a headless chicken losing 9/10 passes of the ball. What a difference when Rodriguez and Puncheon came on. Jack Cork was just amazing and gave everything and pleasantly surprised by Danny Fox's game. Today was a game we could and should have won. Sorry, but with Lallana as Captain we are never going to get to the level most of us are expecting. He hqs so much more to offer as a player but as captain no way.
-
I'm afraid I'm not able to believe in the long team at this time. When I see it confirmed that Adam Lallana remains as skipper and will be leading the team I can't believe. He's a headless chicken where leadership is concerned and adds so much more to the team, to our game, without the responsibility. To date, I see Pochettino as a puppet to Cortese and his stooge Reed. If we appointed someone with Champions League experience as adviser to Cortese and the board my opinion may change. Pochettino will be on sa 3 month trial period. The summer management merry go round in Spain could see Pochettino jumping ship and leaving us high and dry.

Don't mess around. Go straight to the top when you have something to complain about. The chairman's staff will ensure it goes to the person able to help you in double fast time and most probably stamped from the chairman's office.

25 years ago today a 17 year-old Alan Shearer scored a hat-trick on his Southampton debut making him the youngest ever scorer of a hat-trick in the top-flight. Today we have Luke Shaw and James Ward-Prowse showing the potential of future top players. What we need now is for the Academy to produce top strikers to give J-Rod and Ricky a run for their places.

Nigel's greatness is seen now that he is no longer at the club, yet, they are his players whom Pochettino has taken and got them performing with greater belief and confidence. However, we shall not know how good Pochettino is, until he brings in his own players and maintains the good results. In management, a manager's real ability is often not seen in his presence, but in his absence when his team are led by another. Were Nigel not such a good manager, Pochettino wouldn't have had such a easy transition, would have had to bring in other players to make improvements. Let's wait till next season to assess Pochettino's success or otherwise.

Bonfire night will have a whole new meaning this year. Have never forgiven her for how she treacherously stabbed Ted Heath in the back when he trusted and gave her big break. Her election in 1979 saw our successful family hotel business go ruin. The situation was so dire I decided to leave the UK and return overseas. Have never returned. Margaret Thatcher brought about the ruin of Britain bar the southern counties. May she rest in peace as she certainly has a lot to answer for.

I should like to warn you of criminal gangs operating from the north of France down all the most popular routes down into Spain. British vehicles, caravans are their main targets. Take every precaution by not stopping off in lonely, quiet areas, motorway lay byes etc. Saying that, my cousin and family have done the trip a number of times with at least 2 being drivers and driving non stop with no major problems.

So painful to watch for long periods yet eventually our quality showed through. On the positive side, Adlins gave Pochittino a lesson and showed what are our defensive weaknesses. If he didn't know alread,y today's game will have shown him what needs to be done in the coming months. Rodriguez goes from strength to strength and his co-laboration with Ricky amazing. Ramirez is a waste of space, but Adam played much better with a cooler head and without the responsibility of being captain. Ricky excels in the role.
