Good match, great result, and the first game/sky hoodoo banished. Plus points- excellent containment when we were off the ball, and good use of it when we had it. Connolly was terrific when he actually received passes, De Ridder looked sharp and useful in the time he had on the pitch, looking forward to seeing him when he settles in a bit, and we looked generally capable and organised. Chappers good when he came on, added a bit more bite to the midfield. The usual suspects (rickie, AL, jose baby etc,) up to par. Was a bit concerned by that cruncher that laid Fonte out for a moment tho. Negatives- Guly looked a bit out of position to me. He seems to be more effective in a more central area. Martin seemed slightly out of his depth, but as has already been mentioned its his first game at this level. Thought he was unlucky for the pen, looked like a chest down to me. Connolly was definitely getting frustrated at the quality of supply he got, threw his hands up four or five times that I saw (from kingsland corner.) Overall, very good day at the office.
