Christ almighty, this site is going down the pan. Any chance of an embargo of excrement-related threads, mods? Maybe a poll?

You are insatiable.

Am I missing something, I had assumed it was a photoshopped attempt at humour

They dont allow any religious symbols to be worn in french schools. Wearing a crucifix in school has been a bone of contention for years, but their schools remain doggedly secular. No bad thing imho.

Agreed, and I always thought that the countries most desperate to jump on the euro gravy train should have been the ones whose books got most closely scrutinised. Greece has been an economic basket-case for as long as I can remember, (retirement on basically full wages at age 50 for the public sector, which is a massively higher proportion of workers than for any other developed nation,) Italy routinely just added a zero to the lira every decade or so, Spain and Ireland both needed a total rebuild they couldnt afford and guess who was going to pay......ffs, why are the germans so amazed that they are having to bail them out now to keep the currency "credible"? Shouldnt they have realised this? Its what so many economic commentators were saying at the time.

Well said, sir. The voice of sanity in an oasis of confusion.

This place is getting worse than Viz. -
Thats an amusing concept, but when the euro crashes it will more likely be a question of booting the PIIGS out of it and retaining it for the rest. tbf, I never understood why the french and germans allowed them onboard in the first place. They must have looked at the books, every economist said at its inception they couldnt hack it.

about fifty quid, I think. Well, at the moment anyway.

I still cant listen to the key change in Going Underground without the hairs on my neck standing up. His Jam stuff was excellent.

I was initially massively disappointed with Combat Rock, but it won me over when I played it a few months later on a very hot afternoon and with the volume low. Now consider it one of their best.

Theres a lot of truth in this. I lived in the manchester area for about six years, and I can honestly say the manure "fans" are the most unpleasant, cocky, gobby, thick arrogant shltes its ever been my misfortune to encounter. Stoke were fine, citeh were ok generally, Vale and Crewe nearly always good lads and you could chat with them sensibly.

I have to say that I do genuinely hate them. Not just the "football" club, but the place in general. Every time work forces me there reminds me of why I hate them and I cant see that changing, its one of the nastiest places ive ever been and believe me, ive seen a few. Truly horrible, and inhabited by a populace that thoroughly deserve it.

Which football grounds have you taken a dump in?

You have to watch these c*nts. About five years ago, I wanted to pay some cash in at my building society, (wont mention their name but they are a well known local one who got bought out by a larger one.) I had a total of £2350 to pay in, and one of the problems I'd previously had was that they had a daily cash withdrawal limit of £500. One cashier mentioned that I could just open another account and therefore would be able to draw £1000 if I needed to. So off I trotted, opened another account with the £2350. The cashier said she'd sort it, leave the money with her and I'd get my new account book in the post. Two weeks go by, and I receive a letter saying that my "ISA application" (which it wasnt) had been refused as I already had one. Went to the branch, the cashier said pretty bluntly that she knew nothing about it and had received no money from me. I demanded to see the manager, and to cut a long story short had to threaten them with the police (in front of a crowded branch.) They eventually refunded the money, but only after I threatened again to notify the police of a theft, and even then they didnt admit to having received the money; they just said there was an accounting fault showing on their system, and therefore as a gesture of goodwill, bla bla bla.... The moral is, never leave a bank without a receipt. It sounds so obvious, but when you hand over money to a bank cashier you would assume its safe, at least I would (did). I strongly suspect that the cashier was trying it on given her reaction, and that of the manager, but she's still working there.

I'm guessing you're number 1

Dont apologise, you were right. All this b*llocks about "sharia zones" is just that, none of it is legally enforceable, it cant be anything other than an informal agreement between two parties willing to participate in it. That said, I used to live next door to a guy who had the temerity to marry an indian girl against the wishes of her family. The couple had moved down here from brum to escape the attentions of her brothers, who had wanted her to marry her cousin or something, and were threatening to kill her husband. These tw*ts tracked her down to netley and tried to kick my door in at 3am (this was on ingleside, where the house numbering is perhaps not as clear as it might be.....) I called the police, who came out and took statements, but shortly after that the couple moved away again. Imho, these crimes ought to be treated a damn sight more seriously by our police than they currently seem to be.

My guess is both. Is he really as fat a c*nt as the folks that know him always say he is? I always found him amusing btw.
