  5. thus far, it has lasted longer than the coalition.....
  6. Its a classic set-up and sting operation, and I would be pretty sure the lady in question was motivated purely by cold hard cash. Unless of course she was unhappy at the prospect of her partner spending the summer of 2018 glued to the box;)
  7. Well, thats where the checks and balances argument comes in; he knows he cant do anything too unpalatable to the libdems, therefore he wont try it. I wish thatcher and blair had been limited in a similar way, they both carried through what was a reasonable agenda at the beginning, but got power-crazed when it worked and thought they'd discovered the elixir of life and had to apply it to everything else forevermore. I'm feeling quite upbeat about this coalition and hope it works out; I'm sick and tired of political mudslinging and polarisation.
  8. lol:D
  9. dont say youre not interested, im counting on a minimum of a 5-0 trashing for the fishfiddlers today.
  10. The problem with these things is twofold. First, it generates an atmosphere of fear and insecurity which is almost always unjustified, resulting in things like the notorious "kill the paediatrician" bob-a-mob riots. Second, once in a very long while, something like this will do the rounds which is genuine and nobody will take a blind bit of notice of it. Its comparable with the hoax emails which clog all our inboxes warning of untold damage to our computers/bank accounts/personal safety etc if we should receive and open a particular message; it takes 2 seconds on google to discover that its a hoax, but normally rational people still persist in forwarding them to all and sundry "just in case".
  11. Now I'm no expert on betting so this is pure speculation, but I did wonder, just for a moment, whether Titanbet might possibly believe that theres something in this for themselves:confused: I mean, apart from the obviously generous altruism they are displaying
  12. confirms everything we thought about trainspotters....
  13. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2051138,00.html this sounds horribly like Private Eye's "Prime Ministerial Decree from the Desk of the Supreme Leader" Well chuffed tho.
  14. 92% support on here. And Cortese is the guy dispensing Markus's cold hard cash.....he's entitled to a little input methinks
  15. agrees/w that part, dont have a f*cking clue about the rest. I'll be gutted if AP does go fwiw
  16. ....plus the difficulty in persuading higher-league players to drop a division or two, regardless of the money on offer.
  17. breaking news.....a lottery winner has purchased Portsmouth FC. His delighted wife said 'God knows what he would have bought if he'd got 4 numbers'
  18. Basically, its our own fault we couldnt quite catch them in to the playoffs. If we'd gone easy on them and just played for a 1-0 win, it wouldnt have sparked them into life.....
  19. Look what happened to thorpe he had plenty of time to have his say in court, I wonder who'll blow it for them this time. My moneys on chris huhne doing a kennedy, (charlie or sarah, take your pick,) I heard him on R5 in the election run-up, he sounded plssed as a fart at 9.30 am
