  1. Predator all the way. Cloak then sneak up on a marine and rip his head off It does **** you up though when your the Marine and one sneaks up on you.
  2. Demo should now be available On steam too
  3. Basically the HRMC want to shut Portsmouth down. They are doing the winding up order because they have not paid and won't pay. The petition is really a statement of saying "you have owed us xyz for xyz amount of time, you have until xyz to pay or we will have to go to court". A change of owner will not stop the case, unless he pays it. The HRMC's whole angle is to say the club/company should not be allowed to continue running because it hasen't met its legal commitments. My boss who is far more intelligent then me (not that, that is difficult!). Thinks he will be selling the company on in the next couple of days for a knock down fee. He then get's something back and then bails. Leaving the 5th owner to face the music. He thinks he would not have taken this line of action if he did not have maybe something planned. But regardless of who owns it the deadline will remain. Otherwise you could just chop and change your owner every few months and avoid paying tax.
  4. In my experience i think it will go 1 of 2 ways. 1. The creditors list has become so long that they apply to the courts to put them into admin. At this stage i think they can no longer go into VA. However i think they can have discussions with creditors and explain putting them into admin gives them a chance of getting something back over a period of time. Where as liquidation they obviously join the vulture queue. 2. They go into the court case and it will be used as a landmark case for English premier league football. The HRMC feel they are doing the work of the people i.e you pay your taxes right? Would you be happy that the flashy football people who drive sports cars are not paying theirs? The image of the case is what is crucial. Because right now we see them as the bad wolf. When in reality they are actually trying to get money owed which does actually go to help people in some way or another. The people who ran the club are the bad wolf. So if they go into that case right now the list of not paying their bills will be long. I can't see it being too difficult for the prosecution to provide evidence in the form of people not being paid. Then if the HRMC proove that they are owed the £7m-£12m rumoured to be owed then they have a choice. Pay it or not pay it. Pay it means the company will live. Not pay it means the company dies. By the recent history of the club you would have to say they won't be paying it. As things stand right now i think they will go to the case, lose the case, it will be seen as a landmark legal case for our top flight. They will then be found guilty of financial irregularities and that is when the **** hits the fan. Either that or a rainbow appears over Fratton Park and Utaka finds a Leprechaun and his pot of gold. And out of the goodness of his heart turns it over to the new owners to pay the bills.
  5. So this guy has an estimated fortune of around £200m. Which is a lot of money. But by the sounds of it he wont be putting a single penny into the club. He doesn't even sound like he wants the club. More like a baliff who has come round to collect something. So basically nothing has changed. In fact it could now be worse. The courts will not give a monkies who is this weeks owner of the company, that will make the prosecution team have a lot more evidence to use against them. How the hell can a company have 4 different owners in under 12 months? What will be interesting now is to see what he does. He is obviously looking to sell it to try and get back the £14m he supposedly put in. If he fails the fit and proper test (which he wont as the test is basically walk in a straight line) then what will happen? They have 6 days to pay up and a different face on the package will not change the courts and long list of people owed monies mind. If this guy wants to keep the club alive he has to put his own money in. Without any conditions or without any securities. No short term loans, no putting it against tv money etc etc. If he does not do that before weds, the plug will be pulled.
  6. The Echo needs to grow a pair and move on. It does not matter who was right or wrong (even though it was The Echo, and they at least admit now they were asked to hold 24hrs), what matters is the behaviour after it. And Saints have said and done nothing since then while The Echo have run a hate campaign against NC. Do they really think the club will welcome them back with open arms after behaving like that?! They need to realise the gravey train which they had for years has gone. That is why they are so bitter about it. Saints don't need them and i think that is the key point. If they continue to behave like they are then i can imagine the very few people who still read it will just get fed up with it. They need to move on, cover Eastleigh or another local team.
  7. So they have not been paid again. 5 days after they were supposed to be paid.
  8. Here is some gameplay footage from the demo if anyone is interested The footage is 360p i think but can upscale it to higher quality down the bottom. It is pretty decent
  9. How about something like this to the tune of that old classic "if your happy and you know it" If your happy with your owner clap your hands If your happy with your owner clap your hands If your happy with your owner and you really want to show it If your happy with your owner clap your hands
  10. I am glad you like it mate. I can see it being one of those games that when the idiots have got bored and left the people remaining will be a decent community who want to play it in the right way. But i think the poor reviews it has got (around 70% on metacritic) are justified. This is the 21st century and while numbers are good they do not mean anything if used in the wrong way. This in my view is what MAG does. Talks about numbers and makes you think i either need xyz amount of numbers for xyz, etc. Which is very much a sort of RPG formula. In shooters it has been done before and to some degree has been good i.e Battlefield. If you find MAG more fun then that then that is good. But me personally i don't think it comes anywhere close to it or any of the games it is trying to compete against. Zipper Interactive have basically just done Socom but bigger and worse.
  11. This is a key momment for the club if this is true. Because from all accounts it sounded like they needed that £3m-£4m to pay the wages. They had no other measure in place if those deals did not go through. If they had not sold them then the club would most likely today have gone into admin due to not having the funds to pay the wages. IF and that is a big if, the PL are not letting them have the money due to debts then that in itself shows the PL do not think if they released the money it would go to pay the debt, they would use it elsewhere. Which is further proof showing the PL helping the club, not helping the owners. If they release the funds and pay the wages then they will continue to operate. If they don't and the money goes to pay another club owed money then they have to get the money to pay the wages in fast. With no gurantee that any of the transfer money will be coming their way i cannot see a bank giving them another short term loan. Which brings us back again to the problem they have. They need someone with money to put it into the club from their own pocket and accept the loss. That looks more and more likely to not be happening. So if that des turn out to be true and they cannot pay the wages due to the PL not releasing the funds, it really is game over.
  12. So wages still not paid today then. It would be so funny if Pompey ask for the money from selling Kaboul and Spurs turn around and go "what money?". Because if either Spurs or Stoke do what they did in regards to actually paying people then they would not be able to say anything about it. Maybe that is what is happening.
  13. Calm before the storm?
  14. I do not understand why these fans are going to protest against the PL. Are they really that dumb? That is like saying you are going to protest against the bank who gave you a loan because they want their money back. The PL do need to take a serious look at how some people come to own the various clubs. A lot of them are run fine and live within their means. However a few of them are living on borrowed time simply due to the debt hanging around their necks i.e Man Utd,Liverpool,West Ham etc etc. Football is a business, it always was. For every "oh i hate what sky have done, i miss the days when players would play for nothing" memory there is a "this is not 1913, to be the best you have to have the best, and to get the best now cost a lot of money". The same was said for every era of football. To get a player you had to offer him something, he was never going to sign simply because he liked your team name.... There was never that time and people saying there were obviously did not pay attention to how evolution works. Portsmouth Fc, spent a lot of money. They aimed big. They won the FA Cup. At that point nobody was saying lets protest at the PL, nobody was saying the negative things about their owner. It is so easy to sit there after the storm and say you predicted it coming, how about telling the people who got made homeless it was coming before it happened? While they have spent a lot of money they have also made a lot of money from the player sales. Something in the region of £50m-£60m. Where did that money go? That is the question that needs answering and it has nothing to do with the PL. It has to do with the people actually running the club or the people who had run the club. It sounds as if Gaydmark pocketed that money and bailed. How could the PL have prevented him from doing that? Should they make a rule especially for Portsmouth that says any income coming into a company should not leave the company? That is not going to happen. Portsmouth are a club that tried to become a big club, they tried to play with the big boys. They join a long list of clubs who aimed high by borrowing lots of money without thinking about what happens if it goes wrong? It went wrong and now they are finding out exactly what everyone else knew. They have a small fanbase. If they were in division three would they be getting 20k in their stadium each game? Obviously not. They do not have the money making potential other clubs have. You put them in the CCC they do not look a good prospect. So the fans protesting are just stupid in my view. The PL has turned a blind eye to a lot of things Portsmouth have done. They helped them more then the FL helped any team. If the owner of the club decides to not put his own money into the club anymore then what can they do? They can't force him.
  15. haha what has he been saying?
  16. "If your owner has lots of money, stand up stand up If your owner has lots of money stand up If your owner has lots of money stand up stand up If your owner has lots of money stand up!"
  17. --------------Davis----------- ------------------------------ Thomas---Jaidi---Fonte---Harding --------------------------------- --------Hammond--Morgan------- Waigo--------------------Puncheon -----------------Lallana----------- ---------Lambert------------------ I would let Lallana have the free role.
  18. My mate who is a Pompey fan seems to think the owners know they are fooked and on the 10th will be out of business. He thinks the money which has just come in for the two players sold could go to the owner of the club. If he pockets that money and the company goes under, he still walks with the money. Obviously that is pretty far fetched but it does make you think maybe there could be some truth in that. If the staff have not been paid tomorrow even though they have had £6m in the club in the past few days then something is not right at all.
  19. May i ask how you come to that conclusion nick? I get what your saying but they are bottom based on over half the seasons results. They have lost more home games then anyone, and have the 2nd worst away record behind Burnley. Their already poor bunch of players has become smaller with their best player leaving and their in form keeper going. They are 7 points adrift the safe spot and have a hard run in of games. They next play Fulham away who have conceeded just 8 goals. They are a tough team to break down. The way Portsmouth play is very much hit up to the lone striker and hope he does something. That won't work there. While Burnley play West Ham at home. They have lost just twice at home and West Ham have won just once away. You would have to say that after the weekend that 7 point gap could turn to 8. Then after that they play Man Utd away, think you can assume they won't be winning that one. again meaning there is a chance the gap could increase further. They have won just 2 of their last 11 league games. They will have to improve a lot to gain on the teams above them. And you have to say that in the window the teams they are trying to catch have got stronger while they have got weaker. In fact now their league top scorer is Piquionne with just 3 league goals. So i think you have to say that they are really up against it. If they get nothing from the next 2 games they will then have home ties against Sunderland and Stoke. If they lose them then the gap between the bottom three and the teams above 14th becomes big. Meaning the 3 relegation spots would most likely be between the bottom 6 at that point. They then would play Birmingham,Chelsea and Liverpool. Three teams all starting to find form. For the squad they have i cannot see them winning many of their next 10 games Fulham (A) - loss Man Utd (A) - loss Sunderland (H) - draw Soke (H) - draw Burnley (A) - loss Chelsea (H) - loss Birmingham (H) - draw Liverpool (A) - loss Hull (H) - win Tottenham (A) - loss I can see 6 points or so from the next 10 games, maybe 10 at best. With a 7 point gap already they will obviously not be gaining much if at all. They have a better squad then us, they should beat us, we are a 3rd division team after all. But the players they have are very much mercenaries, players who could not care less about the club. Even less when not being paid. If they survived it would be the greatest escape of all time.
  20. Pretty crap player i thought. He did nothing special last time he was there and can see it being the same this time. He is possibly the new Sick note having failed medicals at lots of clubs with most recently Inter last month or so. He has had a few good games, but has played a lot of bad ones too. Right now they need a player who will be consistent and help make them more solid. I don't think he will do that, if he get's even the slightest knock he will be out for ages again. If he passes his medical i would be very surprised.
  21. Can Begovic even play for Stoke having already played for 2 clubs this season?
  22. So have they paid the staff today then or not? Can't seem to find anything on that.
  23. Yeah Plus they say lookslike Stoke will have signed their bosnian keeper for £3.5m. Either way they have not raised anywhere near the amount they needed to and now have no chance of selling players for 5 months. Which means they are now in a far worse situation then before as means they have 1 chance to survive and that is someone puts the money from their own pocket into the club. Which obviously is not going to happen. They raised £6m with the sales (assuming the keeper goes) of which they basically have to pay the wages and various other repayments. They need a miracle now.
  24. Dindane back to Portsmouth
  25. And as the hours tick away the price to buy him becomes less and less you would think.
