  1. If we do get out of it will be the first time this year. Been in the bottom three for over 4 months now. Would not surprise me one bit to get a win over Wolves. I will be there chearing them on win or lose.
  2. Davis was not poor last night! He once again made some classic saves. Smith was ****, he did nothing, gave the ball away so many times. His crosses were under 10's standard.
  3. We'll was a good game i felt. Would deffinatly have taken the point after Euell missed his 2nd sitter. I just could't believe that one. It was like a pass you do to a toddler, no power etc. The team played better then Saturday that is for sure. The defence however still seemed a bit confused with one another which was worrying. Davis made some good saves again, he is the only consistent player this season. Wotte got it all wrong. Some of his decisions were baffeling. Size saved his ass with that other worldly strike. If you get a chance to see the replay do, if it was Beckham or Ronaldo everyone would be saying genius. Was superb and the fans reaction was up there with my fav momments this year, it is why i love away games. Makes me glad i go. And that is what i love about it. You got so many different personalities on this board. The most vocal are normally the ones who don't spend a single penny supporting Saints and will shout your view down in a heart beat. But the people who go to the games and the near 2000 who went to this one in particular do this club proud. I have no doubt whatsoever that i will see the same people next season at the less glamerous grounds in league one. So as Andy Gray would say "take a bow son". We got 5 games left, 2 points from safety. It is not over untill it is over. It was always going to be difficult for us, but we have a chance, we can do it! But if Wotte keeps making the same mistakes then our chances become slimmer. Smith and Wotten were poor, amateur league poor. Lets hope that they improve if called upon.
  4. It will show that in months years to come what people think/thought at the time. Like a mori poll or something. In the future this forum will not have as many people as it has now, so the poll would be better if it was done now to give it a less biased result. I think personally it would be good to see those numbers, see what the fans think. It is not a thread to stir up anger. I can support the team but still have an opinion on who is most at fault. Sure most people are the same.
  5. Just about to arrive. First time i been to Watford in a few years. Last time i went i got food poisoning in their service station....Should be a nice Saints turn out tonight so hopefully we can get something. I got a feeling we might get a win. Watford score a lot of goals but they ship a lot of goals too. The defence had a mare against Charlton so if they have a good one today i think we could maybe get a 2-1 win. COYR Also a guy i spoke to said Priskin was out so that has to be good.
  6. Not a blame thread, a blame poll. There are 300 threads with people who offer their opinion. But the point of this thread is to see in numbers who thinks what. There are many people who don't talk on this forum but read. This is their chance to say what they think. As for moving on, why? It is important the people who care about the club say what they think. Some might not like what they will say, some might not want them to even have a chance to say it. But in months times no doubt like with everything people will claim xyz about the fans. The poll will show what they really felt/thought.
  7. After reading so many opinions over the past week or so i think it would be good for historical reference in the future to find out who the fans think is most responsible for our situation. The point of it is not slag people off for their opinion if it differs from yours. The point is simply to see in % numbers terms who the fans see as the person/persons responsible. The best time to do this poll is now. So if the mods could set it up that would be great. I haved paid my cash to this website so am calling in the ability to make a poll So Who Do You Hold Most Responsible For Our Situation? 1. Rupert Lowe 2. Michael Wilde 3. Leon Crouch 4. Rupert Lowe and Michael Wilde 5. Michael Wilde and Leon Crouch 6. Michael Wilde, Ken Delieu and Their Board 7. The Managers Redknapp,Burley,Dodd and Gorman,Pearson, Jan and Wotte 8. The Players 9. The Fans 10. A Combination Of Everything I think that covers all of them? Me personally i hold most responsible Lowe and Wilde.
  8. I see it the other way really. The way i see it the FL want to get the forensics in to look at every single penny that has been spent and where it has been spent. The records on the site wont tell you that, it just shows you what the club says. As i predicted and said the other day the FL will set up a review/enquiry. This will be to see not only how we have got to this situation but to see if we have broken any of their rules. The legal team will look through the legal process and come back with their view but more importantly their findings. I have no doubt whatsoever that they will return and say we have broken xyz rule. And then if they hit us with a points deduction they will be prepared for the legal appeals from us if that happens. It will be up to us to prove the two entities are different and don't rely on one another. That is the only thing we have to defend ourselves with and it will be ripped apart. It is my opinion that the FL know that the club and company are the same, they know that really the finances of the company and the club are the same, without the club the company would probably not excist. They are just covering all the bases and doing it properly. With all the legal court cases over the past few years due to screw ups by the FA i think the FL will not want to follow suit. They will want a decision that will lead to the end of it. If they came out today and said "Saints are not guilty, no points deduction", then all those clubs would sue the FL for their own punishments in the past. If they came out and said "Saints are guilty and get xyz points deduction" then we would most likely start a legal case. It would make no sense to rush a decision without actually knowing the situation first. So im pretty sure the FL know they have us lock stock and barrel, proving the club and company are the same will be very easy for them to do. If they do that and have it locked down in the sense they present all the legal findings to back it up by their forensics team will leave the club with little room to manouver. They will say you broke this rule and here is the proof you did it, here is the legal findings to support it, and here are the legal recomendations from xyz team. They could then potentially make an example out of us, maybe even set up a new rule etc to stop it happening again. Like saying if we persue it and are found to still be guilty the punishment can be increased such as how appeals work. At the end of the day it makes no difference to the FL if we are docked points or not. They simply are there to make sure we have not broken the league rules. They are there to represent all the clubs in the league and act with their interests. If we get relegated then it just means we drift from the limelight, it won't be as important to report on. As others have mentioned look at Luton. They are going to drop out of the football league this season. The FL hit them hard. Showing they will take those decisions if they feel they have to. We should not be thinking "they are ****ting themselves", it should be us ****ting ourselves.
  9. Should take about 10mins after looking at the books to see the club and company are pretty much the same thing and financially are intertwined.
  10. :smt043:prayer: classic
  11. So why did you say "he has no answer!!!!!"?
  12. How is that not an answer? What he says is right. Crouch unlike Wilde and Lowe has actually not taken a penny from Southampton fc. He has put his own money into the club for various things including supposedly paying some players wages at the end of last year. Why should he have to give more to the club? In the giving stakes he has done a lot. Lowe and Wilde should be giving something back, especially Lowe after the millions he has probably pocketed for himself out of the club. Crouch has lost £1.6m in the last few weeks because of what happened. The fact he is still trying to generate money for the club amongst his contacts is great. What would happen if he didn't do that? Who would do that? The people who have a go at Crouch and Lawrie for trying to help the club i really will never understand. Why don't you donate every last penny you have to the club?
  13. How did he do that exactly? As far as i am aware he had no control over the finances. In fact he was one of the people saying to not spend money.
  14. Vectis People don't want to hear that because a lot of them simply don't believe it. Crouch did some wrong for this club but nothing anywhere near the level Lowe and Wilde did. The most ironic thing is out of all the three Crouch is the only one to come out and not only admit he made mistakes but to say he is sorry for them. What have the others said? Wilde = Im not to blame, it was the banks fault for believing me when i said i knew people who would invest. The £12m we spent in under 20 months was the banks fault. Im innocent. Lowe = It is the previous boards fault. I was not at the club when we got into debt. I left the club in a great state, i am not to blame, i regret nothing. etc etc If anyone thinks Crouch should not be trusted or put next to those two then **** em.
  15. Can't see us avoiding the points to be honest. Will be shocked and very happy if we do. The club are going to have to show that the football club and the company are two seperate things and run seperate from one another. This will be near impossible to prove. The finances of the company come fully from the club. The company makes little money, the club does. The debts were probably caused by the club not the company. If the FL decide in our favour tomorrow then you can expect this to get very messy. People suing everyone, companies making parrent companies and so on. The potential storm that could follow will lead to more problems especially because of the current financial enviroment. They will have to show the club can run by itself but as the admin guy mentioned that has funds untill the end of the season then that will go under without investment. The two are the same and that will be easily proven i'm sure. Thankfully though we do not have Lowe or Wilde around to bring about legal action if they find against us. Because that money would be better spent elsewhere. The dark clouds over our head will just continue if we drag it out. If they find against us then we should just accept it. Lowe made a mistake and we should take the punishment. Then if/when we are sold we can fully start a scratch and leave this whole sorry saga to the history books.
  16. I posted this in another thread. A video clip i recorded when i was walking out. Is not the best quality but you can hear the chanting etc A few Charlton fans have already replied, which expectly they post the "we won" stuff. But one said "If Showing Your Support Is Kicking Disabled People and Rushing Old Woman when Coming out of a Football ground then what does this tell us?" Personally i didn't see much in terms of disabled people getting kicked. If any of our lot did that then they are a disgrace. "IF" they did that.
  17. We'll i think your right but it depends on what he was complaining about. If i remember right it was about a throw in and where we should of taken it from. Not really something to get sent off for is it? Their manager should of stayed quiet and not approached Wotte like he did. Was handbags at dawn stuff. If he got like that after one of our penalties was turned down then fair enough. Me personally i would of prefered someone to just wait the few mins we had left as we looked the better side then before going off on one. On the walk out a few people said he did it in the last game too (which i didn't see) and that he might do it to save himself from taking some flak? I would trade his passion for some tactical knowhow anyday.
  18. I saw it the other way really. I saw a sincere Saints fan who seemed a lot cooler then i would be if i lost £1.9m that week...... I think his standing ovation was a good touch too.
  19. Wotte getting sent off (or sent to stand i guess it's called for managers?) Personally i felt quite embarrased for him really. It was great entertainment to see but does it really help us? We had 3mins to go and a minute of that must of been taken up by him shoving their manager? Im all for a firey coach who shows a bit of passion. But if i look at the guys tactics of late is it just self frustration?
  20. Great atmosphere today i felt. Some people on the official thread have said they felt it was pretty low or quiet... As for the trouble after the game, would hardly call that trouble. Was a nice sing a long. I recorded a bit, sorry not amazing quality but you can hear the passion
  21. Wotte a **** up Totally gutted. From the start with the walk in to the stadium, talking to all the fans, to Crouch's and Lawries speach it was hard not to get taken in by the atmosphere, the passion from everyone was magical. It made you feel proud to be a Saints fan. That will be one of the greatest momments i will take away from this season. Then they got the early goal after our defence fell asleep you thought we could get mauled here. But the crowd kept on roaring and DMG scored a fantastic effort. You felt it could be our day! Then Kelvin did this After that you really did think after the week we have had we will go on to win and we will all go away happy and with some relief from our nightmare for a day at least. But nope it was not to be. It was the same story as it has been recently. Stupid formation with clueless tactics mixed in with gutless performances from most of the players. I can't be bothered to go through and give ratings but once again Davis was motm for me. He made some amazing saves, that point blank volley he somehow got a hand too was awesome. I feel sorry for him because the goals that went in were top class from their player and utter **** marking/defending from our defence. He was let down. DMG i felt did ok. He was lost at sea for the most of the game but that is down to the formation. He can't do anything if he doesn't get the ball. He had to come back into our box many times just to get it. And for me that was the problem. It was amateur school boy stuff. Get the ball, then hoof it. That is what we have. Hoof the ball up to nobody. It was just so bad. BWP scored a great goal but if you asked him to do that again he probably couldn't. So it was more of a fluke really. At that point Saints came alive and Charlton went defensive. All in all have to say we deserved to lose and if it wasen't for Davis and some awful finishing it would of been far worse for us. Nick Illingsworth blames the fans for our situation. Every chance he gets he slags them off. But now we have the Forest game and the Charlton game to add to the many games where it has been the same. The fans support today and always has been outstanding. To criticise the fans with everything that has happened is a joke. The guy needs to quit talking to the media. He is Rupert Lowe Mark 2. So hopefully now Nick you have seen the support the fans gave. Even when we played **** and lost 2-3 at home to to the bottom team the chants of we are Southampton echo around the ground. You probably just wern't there to hear them. So i look forward to reading your "the fans were superb again" article. But i have no doubt it will be more like "we will regret losing Rupert Lowe". So truely gutted that we lost. But we can only do what we do and that is cheer the boys on untill the final whistle. And i will continue to do that untill the end whatever happens as i know there are so many people who feel the same. We will rise again.
  22. I would be happy to invest in this if it was done legally and properly. Not a repeat of the Trust saga where you have one muppet proclaiming he speaks for everyone. If it can be run like Barca then i would put a lot of money into it. My only concern is that if we manage to get even £1m it would make little difference and we would be back in admin in a few months once the debts interest had swallowed it. If the club comes out of admin with a clean fresh slate without the debts around its neck then im sure many people would be interested.
  23. A few Skates i work with were more like "I would take the **** out of you but i think we will be in the same situation before long". Which is probably true. A lot of clubs will be in the same boat soon enough.
