  1. We should have gone 4-4-2 earlier. When you have 5 in midfield it creates less space to pass, as effectivley your short passing (though Wotten hit about 99% of our long balls). When you do it that way it is like Rugby, you run with the ball and gain a few yards simply because there are too many bodies around you. When you put 2 up front their defence and midfield have to keep an eye on 2 people running the lines. This then opens up space to play passes from midfield to the wings as there are gaps in between you. Which then means you can get the defenders on the overlap etc.. that releases the congestion in midfield because your no longer being one dimensional and running the ball on the outside rather then the inside. If you compare the 1st half to the end of the second you see what space can do for you. But in my view the main advantage is it gets the midfielders further up the pitch causing nuisance. We had far more joy doing it that way. But creating the chances is one thing, putting them away is something completly different. It is just a shame as you say we don't have Rasiak,Saga or John here as they would thrive off those balls.
  2. Ah yeah your right. Must be the sitting out in the rain for 2 days in a row has finally done my brain in! (went to the Rose Bowl yesterday). Well lets hope Rasiak does us a favour and scores an own goal
  3. Or signing anyone who can actually play now would of been helpful. Signing 1 injured player ok but 2....Again just shows where were at in terms of our decision making. The monkeys have taken over the zoo.
  4. Ironically he is the only Saints player to score a winning goal at home this season in CCC.....Think that speaks volumes of just where were at.
  5. I agree with you on this one. Adam will be a class player in the future but he is young and learning, don't forget this is still his first full season playing. He will get better and his decisions will get better. As my mate said "would rather have a team of Lallana's then a team of Wotten's"! Which i think most would agree on.
  6. First 70 mins thought we were awful. Didn't look like scoring and didn't look like we would create anything. First half display is up there with the worst this season and if it wasen't for Davis would of been a complete thrashing. The ref in my view was a complete **** who gave nearly everything against us. Bristol should of burried us before Half-Time and if we give those chances to Wolves and Reading we could lose 10-0 no joke, they will rip us to shreads if we play like that. This is another game Jan threw away in my book with his negative tactics and negative formation. Someone needs to tell him 4-5-1 is not playing 3 up front because if he thinks we have 3 up front then he needs to lay of the cafes for a bit. For the first 30mins did we even touch the ball?! Second half we looked the same as the 1st, relying on luck and not creating anything of our own. Then finally Jan changed it and made it 4-4-2 with like 20 mins left. With that we came to life and looked a much much better side. We had people all over the place and that created space for our midfield to get in the mix. This in turn sparked the crowd into voice and made the atmosphere what it should be. This is our home ground ffs! The last 20 mins was all us, we kept them under pressure for most of it but again just could not get that shot on target to test the keeper. But it was more positive and we were creating chances and i could handle losing 0-1 at home if we played like that the whole way through. But we didn't. They played us off the park 1st half and the way we approached it and played it was not acceptable. I don't blame the players at all, they tried and they are learning with each game. Jan has to accept responsibility for us having the worst home record in the league. 1 win in 7 games in total and only 1 win in 8 at home. Those are horror stats. If Bristol can hand our ass to us like that when we play negative what will Reading and Wolves do to us?! It is going to be a total nightmare if we go in to those games like that! My motm goes to Noble, thought he was quality. On our side it goes to Davis and Surman. They played superb i thought and Surman was unlucky with his break.
  7. we can't go into the relegation zone today, however if Charton win today and watford win tommorow; and we fail to beat Bristol we will be back in the relegation zone. It is getting tight from 17th to 22nd place already. If we win and results go our way we could move up to 16th. I think we would all take that!
  8. Perfect weather for football no need to call it off! If we come out with the plan to hoof it up to our 1 striker then maybe not, but if we come out with the plan to pass it around on the ground should be perfect!
  9. Couldn't see a thread so thought i would start one! Well i think this game is important. We had a excellent result last week where we showed a lot of character and determination to get back from 2-0 down away to win 2-3. We HAVE to build on that this time. All the things are there to go on from that and move away from the bottom group and claw our way up the table. The team have to show that effort in every game they play not in patches. So for me i think the lads will be up for it and will win 2-1. Bristol are no mugs but they got a lot of people injured and got battered last week 4-1 by Reading but i think coming off of our result last week we should be high in confidence and can see this being our 2nd win at home. COYR!
  10. Im on the storm level with the Razor Hail. Loads of fun!
  11. Well i have played it for a good 5 hours now. Awesome game thus far. Probably the best shooter i have played to be honest. Also im not normally someone who gives a crap about graphics but some of the visuals in it are simply stunning. The rain effects are the best ive seen. Deffinatly worth the high metascore it has got. Unlike some other games ive played recently!
  12. I would take a guess that they are waiting until/if we move away from the relegation zone. If we are in the bottom 3 and they deliver a report worse then the previous one then they will all looklike a bunch of hypocrites after what they did after the last game etc.. If they show it while we are moving up the league they can then say "were losing money but our team is doing better, we focused on the team!".. Either way i can't wait to see what effect Lowe and Wilde have had on the club this time
  13. Game again delivered mine 1day early will be killing some locust tonight!
  14. St Marco

    PS3 games

Ratchet and Clank is ok for kids i think and has a bit of adult humor too.
  15. Well thus far review wise Gears 2 has a 96% metascore (22 reviews) and Resistance 2 has 90% (10 reviews). Both doing very well indeed. Surprised Gears 2 topped LBP score of 95% though. Fallout 3,Dead Space,Fable II,LittleBigPlanet,Resistance2,Gears2 all done superb. Now hopefully RacePro and Left4Dead deliver and im then officially broke!
  16. Did not realise LittleBigPlanet was not yet out. 96% is awesome score! I still have no idea what it is about, are they like aliens or something? Also at 2pm tommorrow the review embargo will lift for Gears 2,Resistance 2 and the new Call of Duty 5 game. Should be an interesting day.
  17. If anyone cares Boyd has now scored 6 goals in 3 games since this thing happened. And has a total of 10 goals in 6 appearences. 5 more then the next scorer and is the SPL top scorer. Bet Burley feels a bit like a chump now.
  18. http://uk.gamespot.com/pc/action/left4dead/video/6200402/left-4-dead-official-movie-1?hd=1 Looks cool. Out for 360 on 18th Nov, if you pre-order you get the demo for it. Not sure if i should get it for 360 or wait and get it for PC....Whatever happened to Zombies being slow?
  19. game have taken my cash already for this game so hopefully they send it early!
  20. A game we had to win and Jan is a lucky lucky boy! Fantastic to come back from 2-0 to win it and DMG goal sounded quality. Wish i had gone now! It is games like these which remind us why we support this club.
  21. The ironic thing about this is that Burley's last 13 games he actually only managed 1 more win then Pearson.... So you could say 10 wins in 46 which makes it even worse including the time of Burley. Which is as BS says pathetic
  22. wonder if Coleman had been into see JP before the game in his room and inhaled some of JP's herbal essences Best passing side in the league. Is playing long ball really counted as passing? To be fair though Coventry punted it up field just as much as we did!
  23. This is the reality. If we go back in time (wish we could) to when we finished 8th and were going into our 1st season in europe for nearly 30 years. If we had continued in that vein by bringing in better players and backed the manager etc.. we would all be proud of his achievements. However the momment Strachan was told your getting no money for players it all started to fall apart. The amount of errors he made is just astonishing. And they persist to this very day. He is someone who HAD some success but threw it all away. The negatives far outweigh the positives with his reign. The fact some people expect the fans to actually thank him for what he did over 5 years ago and forget what he did in the past 5 years is pretty dumb. That is not realistic. The fact is the fans dislike him for what he has done to the club and what he has done makes him who he is. Right now Lowe is being Lowe and we will all suffer for it. The sad thing is if any of us acted in our jobs that way we would of been kicked out on our ass long ago. So that is why i blame Wilde the most. He brought him back in. Thanks Michael! Tosser.
  24. Lets hope those with an illness feel a little better today and can play because if not i feel another 5-1 type game on the cards. Today is a must win game for me. We have the potential to either be on the same points as Barnsley and maybe get out on goal difference or we could go to 5 points adrift. Big big game where we have to win. If we lose and results go against us and we are 5 points adrift going into 3 tough games against teams who are 1st,4th and 8th could increase that points gap further which lets pray doesn't happen. Saints must win. It will be a tough game, no games are easy. If Jan has done his job and the players realise what is at stake and put in a display of effort then i think we could snatch it 1-2. I would be very happy with that. 4 points from the last 9 would not be so bad. However if Jan is Jan and plays people in the wrong place and plays a defensive system we will get stuffed something like 5-0. If that happens 1 point from the last 9 and 13 from 45 in total is awful and we cannot go on like that. So it is a game that depends on what Jan does i think. Either we win by a goal or lose by many i think.
  25. The CVA only gives a 10 point deduction. To use Leeds as an an example here they were actually given 15 point deduction because they didn't follow the rules of when a buisness enters admin. HMRC challenged the sale of Leeds to Bates but if they were succesful would of meant it would have been probable Leeds would have gone into Liquidation. So they re-sold the club to Bates technically while in admin and that is what they were done for. Despite having a minus 15 start they still got to the playoffs so again that prooves Wes theory wrong. Bournmouth got minus 17 for not following the buisness rules for insolvency and starting the season in administration. They forced the new company to pay the old CVA. So while they are all because of CVA they are actually for different reasons.
