If so Rickie by his own admission lacked professionalism and discipline prior to playing for Bristol rovers which meant he did not fulfil his potential until he got serious about his career. No suggestion that Reeves has followed suit and given the training facilities and sports science at our disposal saints will have made sure he is physically at his peak. So that leaves just the question is he good enough to play for saints! answer is based on what we have seen thus far and given he is 21 years old then then the answer is No.

Lets be honest he is 21 years old so any potential he has should have been fulfilled by now. He wont be offered a new contract by us in the summer. Will end up at league 2 or possibly a league 1 club. Not good enough for PL or NPC imo. Happy for him to prove me wrong.

JRod is starting to look the part so I would keep him in plus he seems the most composed in front of goal at the moment. if Nc going to do this why do it on day of a home game when he will get pelters and the fans will sing adkins name the whole game. just doesnt add up.

The media keep coming up with these stories which suggests there is some truth in some of them. I personally think cortesi has made sure he has a plan b and even a plan c in place in case he pulls the trigger on adkins. As it current stands adkins has backing of both fans and players and there is no way cortesi will sack him now as he will look like a right plum. Adkins was allegedly very close to the boot after WBA loss but since then his tactics and team selection has improved beyond doubt as well as players becoming accustomed to the PL . Adkins will always be looking over his shoulder but maybe that's how cortesi wants it to be and seemingly adkins thrives under this pressure.

Interesting. I think ow JRod is getting more game time, our attacking approach will be more varied. Before it was to Lamberts feet with Lallana/Puncheon/Ramirez collecting the knowdowns in front of him rather than actually getting beyond him and behind the defense. JRod has the pace and intelligent running that will allow us to vary how we attack.

I would suggest it is a verbal commitment with view to signing long term contract in the summer. If we was to get relegated (god forbid) I would not expect him to sign and he clearly states playing PL football is what any young kid wants to do. Just hope we stay up as this lad is the real deal and future england leftback.

Lambert is a very good footballer in terms of football brain and technique. We all know he lacks mobility but his goals record speaks for itself. He is the glue of our team for sure and when he is missing we almost seem clueless on how to attack. I also believe JRod is going to be a top top player and his finish against chelsea was great and was a type of goal we do not typically score. Whilst Lambert is fit and scoring goals he is the main man but JRod will no doubt learn alot from him and will eventually take his crown.

Don't under estimate the influence of the Southampton Way DVD which they play to potential signings. It brainwashes them into thinking we are a big club with a stadium that will be expanded soon due to our massive die hard loyal support and will soon he sampling champions league football. How can you turn that down:)

There is competition for both Astori and Coutinho however I have heard from someone ITK on transfers in general (not saints specifically) that Saints are well placed on both fronts. Not to say we wont be gazumped along the line but as it stands both deals are progressing well it seems. Be good to get a CB in asap as we are fooked with big Jos in the team.
