I was walking in town yesterday and the man in front of me dropped his poppy. It just fell off his coat and he didn't notice. I thought I'd pick it up and give it to him but some woman overtook me and ended up treading on it. I was furious with her and started shouting at her about the lack of respect she had shown to the poppy. She tried to defend herself, but the more she said the more angry I became. A few people saw what was going on and they joined in with me. We eventually beat the woman to death as it was no more than she deserved.

I'm not sure it is "unexplainable". They are obviously saying that a nursery is a place where children are left and paedo's love the children, so the nursery will attract the paedo's. It's actually pretty sensible logic. When you consider the case against that fat woman recently, who worked in a nursery, not only might paedo's come looking for some action, but some might actually end up working there. And consider the child abductor who preys on the kiddies by tempting them into their cars with sweeties and promises of puppies - where would be the best place to do that tempting? Given the choice of putting these potential murderers away for a long time or being potentially murdered, just for going to a football game, I know which I would prefer to happen.

Went there in the Summer. Krakow is a great place. I would book an aprtment if I were you - they're good value and some of them are spacious and luxuriant for similar price of hotels. There are plenty of good eating places - get down to the Jewish quarter - we left it to the last night and were gutted not to have spent more time there, it was lively and fun with lots of good bars and eating places. There are lots of nice bars and such like in the main square. Auschwitz is worth going to, simply because of what it is. To be honest I found myself not as moved as I thought I would be. It's because of the headphones you get on the guided tour (which is complusory unless you get there before 10.ooam or something). The constant commentary and being rushed from building to building means that you never really get time to stop and think about the place - it's more like a museum rather than the site of historic importance and tragedy. My advice is to get there early, avoid the toursand let it all sink in - all the tour guide does is read the boards anyway, and they're in English.
