  1. Just turn up and buy them on the gate
  2. I think another clean sheet is the most important thing. I'd take a 0-0 and then get the 3 point at palace on monday.
  3. I'll give you a tenner for it now, at least then you'll get something out of it. It's a shame to let it go to waste after all.
  4. We can play at riverside park instead
  5. Best not to think about that, saint1977, if we lose Kelvin in january then we're f**cked!
  6. It won't be that great anyway, go to the Forest game before christman instead, it's only £15.
  7. He looks like Captain Haddock with that beard
  8. Indeed, if we lose Cork and Pearce we could be in a lot of trouble. Pekhart has not been very impressive and I haven't seen Smith so I can't comment on him.
  9. I agree with Adrian that, whilst they are both very good players, I think their importance to the team is being exaggerated. As long as we hang on to Schneiderlin, Cork and Pearce having sold Surman and Lallana, we would still have a very good chance of staying up.
  10. Looks more like the new Gareth Bale in that video
  11. The sharp fall in attendances this season can't help much
  12. Well obviously but you've said that the reason that you're doing 'what the **** you like' is because Lowe and Wilde are still at the club. What is the significance of that?
  13. Sorry to make you repeat yourself but can you explain exactly why that is.
  14. Whereas being in league 1 with gates of about 10,000 and no good players left would be a great situation to be in.
  15. I don't understand, how will it affect those boycotting? They wouldn't go to st marys either way because of their boycott.
  16. If more people were still attending rather than sulking about Lowe then we wouldn't need to sell our best players. Also I imagine Lowe is smart enough to realise that if we keep this team together and are patient they could be quite successful and promotion would be a definite possibility in a couple of years, which would be a lot better for him personally in the long run.
  17. So you're saying they'll miss out on revenue as people would have bought membership for the sake of this game, then in your next post you completely contradict that point when you write: Some people might want membership after this game because they'll realise they missed out last time when they weren't members. Either way it will make no difference as far as the "Lowe/Wilde axis's PLC" is concerned. You should really try and get over this obsession with Rupert Lowe mate and support Southampton FC. We're playing some very good football at the moment as the last 3 games have shown, but I guess you wouldn't know about that due to your petty and completely pointless boycott. You sound incredibly bitter about it but you need to accept the situation because it won't change any time soon.
  18. Fair point, that could be a problem although spurs are already sniffing around lallana anyway, and surman has been around for a few years already so he's not an undiscovered gem that will suddenly be brought to light. Also Schneiderlin is supposedly on his way to arsenal. Of course, that wouldn't be a problem if all these 'fans' who suddenly decide to come to st marys now united are in town bothered to turn up to the odd championship game and we had decent gate receipts.
  19. You should think carefully about that middle paragraph because to me that makes no sense and you are contradicting yourself, unless I've misunderstood completely. You're basically saying fans who attend regardless of which evil despot is running the club are doing more harm because they are supporting a regime that could put the club out of business. But you're backing those who would stay away as protest even though they are more likely to contribute to the club going out of business by staying away. The bottom line is that all football clubs experience ups and downs and you have to just accept that right now things aren't looking up for saints. Forget all this petty scapegoating of lowe and the board, all we can do as fans is go and support the team as much as possible and hope the very talented young players we have can continue to improve and things will start to look bright again.
  20. Great contribution. There is nothing silly about suggesting that the play-offs are a possibility. It's quite unlikely to be fair, given the lack of experience in the squad and is optimistic of GM to suggest but it's not totally unrealistic. They have played some outstanding football this season and the result at reading was no fluke. It showed, as did the performance against wolves the week before, that these lads have the quality to beat even the top teams in this league. The Championship is always close and all it would take is a good run of form after christmas and we could well be competing for a play-off place. That depends on who leaves in january of course, and whether the defence can improve and start keeping clean sheets.
  21. I thought the original point was that the youth approach will never bring stability. What you mean (I assume) is that having no money will bring instability due to selling decent players to stay afloat, and that's fairly obvious and I doubt many people will disagree with you. The only stability we can offer is by attending as often as possible to boost the gate and receipts.
  22. So people stay away partly due to the lack of atmosphere, and the lack of atmosphere is due to people staying away. The same could be said for the poor performances, as people stay away and the team doesn't get that extra lift that might inspire better performances. I assume you weren't there on saturday, but from where I was stood in the northam the atmosphere was great and in turn the players had a real go at it, especially in the 2nd half, and that good performance could have become a good result with just a bit of luck. You can make as many excuses as you like for staying away, but the fact remains that as supporters we should be showing up regardless of what's on display because it can and will make a difference ultimately. Fair enough if you can't afford it or it's not practical to attend sometimes, but many of the reasons listed above should not come into it.
  23. Actually there are 2: Plymouth next tuesday and Sheff wed on December 6th.
  24. I'd love to see that!
  25. Against Wolves? I didn't notice any ugly scenes myself, what are you referring to?
