Exactly. The fans don't need representing, the fans are the club. If we all said **** it I cant be bothered any more then the club would no longer exist. If 30,000 saints fans went to st marys every other week then we'd be in a very different position to the one we're in now.

Directing monkey noises at a black player is clearly racist abuse aimed at an individual and is disgraceful. Chanting 'sheep****gers' at several thousand cardiff fans who hear the same thing every week and often sing it back themselves when they score/are winning etc. is just part of the banter between sets of fans. I doubt most are genuinely offended by such nonsense unless they really do sexually abuse sheep.

I would say he has been consistently poor since the end of 2005-06. Also his success with West Ham that year was largely due to him being able to bring in a lot of good players and that's not something he could do for us.

Fair enough but what has he done since then? West ham were awful the following season and he got sacked and, although he had a difficult job at charlton, he made a right mess of that. A mate who goes to charlton was moaning about him before he left and said that sometimes his negative tactics were beyond a joke (ie 2-0 down brings off a striker for a midfielder to keep the goal difference to a minimum). He also seems like a right tosser.
