8th is OURS. Midfield all really good today- Davis justifying his selection with great energy at the end.
-
Well he's no Danny Fox, but I think he could certainly be given a go in pre-season. Pretty sure Shaw will stay for at least another season if MP does.
-
Agree with all of that- the centre half pairing is certainly really promising for the future. Harry Reed also pretty tidy and Targett looks quality.

Think I'll be going after work. Nice evening for it and a chance to see some of the up n comings.
-
No chance of Hull going down- Norwich, Sunderland or Palace more likely.

Solid, unspectacular stuff. Defence pretty awesome. Decent stuff played in the first half. Poor poor Palace team. Some tired players out there (Rickie). -
MP standing up, pointing at a tactics book, he cares again! rejoice.
-
Great win. Very solid performance. By far the better team. Onwards and upwards- watch out United, you're next.
-
Free kick was given for original foul on Crouch- they didn't get the advantage after Yoshida's tackle.

Used to call Clubcall / Teamtalk from the payphone at school because the phone would only need money if you wanted to talk. Evil genius I was then.

Blip over

Another reminder that actually, we're a pretty damned good team.

Artur showing the benefit of being on the front foot when the ball comes across the box - shouldn't have been allowed to make the save but at least he made it slightly harder for Long.
-
In all likelihood we've secured a top half finish. we're not as good as the teams above us (and hence lost to them) but are better than the teams below us (and have beaten most of them). Now, for the FA cup run....

Which Saints Player will take Walcott's place in the World cup squad
doc oli replied to PhilippineSaint's topic in The Saints
Also think sadly this could be the end for Walcott. For someone so reliant on pace ahead of any other attribute, he will certainly lose this coming back from an ACL injury. Yes he may be stronger with all the rehab- like Shearer and Owen were, but that blistering pace may be a thing of the past. -

Birmingham or Bristol Rovers or Crawley Vs Man Utd or Swansea - what a mouthwatering tie. -

Looks 'orribole there. Midfield playing pretty well, Cork especially. Shaw not at the races today.

DMG penalty on the day we were relegated from the championship. limp.

Don't think RL was that bad at all, he kept possession well, put in a couple of decent through balls and linked with Chambers quite nicely in the first half. He's never going to be the dynamic pacey centre forward some of us want him to be, but I still think he plays a crucial role in keeping the ball for us. Thought Cork had another tidy game and is slotting back in to his role of last year nicely. -
This is rather splendid. It needs to happen.

Admitted I got that wrong whilst supporting Saints!

Lambert wouldn't be mobile enough / trim enough for the Championship (let alone the PL!) Suggesting going to start queueing for FA cup quarter final tickets when 2-0 up at half time against Spurs in 1995 Kenwyne Jones would get us back up the Prem single-handedly Boruc was fat, lazy and disinterested
