  1. Hammond huffed and puffed like the good league one player he is. Cork was by far motm for his drive, tackling and attempting to pass the ball. We played more long/direct balls than west ham on a bad day, BUT had enough GOOD chances to put the game to bed. Gutted. Feels like a defeat but we can win at palace.
  2. Brown girl definitely. Don't need the final line, just repeat the first bit over and over
  3. Indeed what the doctor ordered. Great, professional performance, COYR
  4. An argument between me and my brother this weekend occurred when I posed the question - "Would you rather have seen Saints win a Premier League title and MLT had never existed let alone played for us OR have it the way it has been - survival, relegation etc, but the memories of all his goals?" He opted for the title, which in my mind would make us like Blackburn. I wouldnt swap the memories of MLTs magic for anything.
  5. Hello Matt and Ally I presume. Using my just-a-gp skills I've worked out how to accept messages now so feel free to send private messages of love and adulation. Started uploading my photos but they're not that good/many as I was so busy saving the world, so looking forward to when Mike gets the group collection up online.
  6. Cheers mate- although I cant work out from your profile name who you are?!
  7. Just back from the trip- an amazing few days with a really great bunch of saints fans. Nicola didnt make it, but to be honest I dot think anyone minded at all. If the foundation do a further trip I would really recommend going on it- the kenyans are wonderful people, and it is possible to make a difference in a short space of time.
  8. with Redkrapp it was always me me me me me me - just listen to his interviews. Talked a load of carp about needing a whole new team when he arrived- the perfect way to undermine the confidence of a struggling squad. Will never forgive the way HE took us down. Nigel is a breath of fresh air (despite his cheesy cheeriness)

  11. it was a 6/10 performance from everyone. nobody stood out, nobody was awful. BUT in years gone by we would have lost that game, and we didnt.
  12. Mor-gan Schneiderlin, tra la la la la la (brown girl in the ring)
  13. sloppy at times but incisive when we needed to be. thought martin was ok on the whole. excellent substitutions by NA. AL & DC showed what class players they are.
  14. My brother vomited in the Junior Saints section during Villa at home in 1994- had to walk him around the pitch to the first aid centre and he missed MLTs last minute free kick
  15. De Ridder on the right is the best so far for me. Originality, simplicity.
  16. boughted. definitely ours.
  17. Sideways, sideways, sideways, all he did was sideways. Like a slim-Jim-Magilton
  18. Went along to the game as a 'neutral' but sat with the hudd fans and was genuinely gutted for them. They had massive support on the day, but pboro were just too good in the end. Not the best £40 I've ever spent though....
  19. Oldham away.We ooooozed class.
  20. He was different class on Saturday- and seemed to have the energy of a 20 year old. Provided the link between midfield and RL that was really lacking by playing two identical central midfielders. Other option is to go back to good ol 4-5-1 with AL in behind RL.
  21. I'm looking forward to seeing Gillian Duffy tonight. Lovely lady. 'Town full of bigots, you're just a town full of bigots'...
  22. 2-1 crap defending
  23. very true, the possession football was generally good, but there were plenty of good midfield runs - esp from Chaplow - that were spurned for a safer, crossfield ball. Good, comfortable win though.
