This worked really well, and on the left side Morgan often slotted in behind Shaw who was all the way up in the left wing position. For JWP this makes sense because if the ball breaks to him when he's lying deep, he's often in a great position to deliver one of his incredible dipping crosses. I think the fact that crosses (or corners) have set up most of the goals in the last few games would suggest we're getting the ball wide enough (and delivering it well).

like this but better I expect?

This is true. United fans already cheering a Fellaini substitution which isn't a good sign. Ossie just needs to get used to the pace of the PL. But he (like anyone else) isn't guaranteed a place, and maybe starting from the bench would be a good thing for him -

Sat in the United east stand and some of the bile being spat at Lambert was disgusting. Wanyama was immense, although any pass more than 10yrds seems beyond him. Morgan was superb, Clyne's 'welcome to the game' tackle on the wee Belgian/English/Slovakian boy set the tone. Just like last year we got them scared, as a defensive sub after defensive sub was brought on. The criticism of Osvaldo is justified- he's not up to the speed of the premier league just yet, but at least he's not a prima donna off sulking. Fans were great too- tried to get over with them to celebrate at the end but the stewards were having none of it -
The lad is 18. 18 and he shows a maturity on the ball that belies his age. He keeps the ball well and uses it sensibly. I think he'll develop in to a (latter day) Scholes-like creative midfielder.

Alan Green just called us 'so refreshing' - I nearly spat out my penguin

thought Wanyama had one of his best performances so far today. Just need the strikers to really click together.

Everton seem to have managed to get in and around the top 6 with peanuts, and QPR went down spending stupid money (admittedly mostly on an overweight donkey).

Vorm off, rookie keeper on, two late goals

wwwwwoooooooooopppppppppQ!!!!!!!!!

He's been with them probably longer than he was with us, it was a massive goal for them and he probably assumes we're safe. Hard to dampen instinctive reactions at times like that. He knows who made him.

Sounded great. Yes it's a United rip off but to quote ****face Cowell, we made it our own.

and Jesus is his deputy

We're too good now. This is the position our play has deserved all season. Partly thanks to NA, partly thanks to MP but mainly thanks to some talented young footballers.
-
This is his main problem. At times can pick a world class pass but does slow Dow a team that is getting quicker and quicker. Off the bench next year I think

Brilliant today, simply brilliant. Don't think he put a foot wrong. Symbolises the energy we have.

Villa one up

Quite possibly the gayest training session ever by the looks of the photos I'm sure we'll be camped in their half most of the game though......
