Boruc not in goal for Bompey tonight. Can't be injured already?
Lee Camp sent off for handling outside the box, even though it ended up in the net. Goal disallowed and Derby well pis sed off.
I saw all 3 games. Wasn't the loan for 1 month only
2-1 home win against "Dirty Leeds" with Brian O'Neil carried off. We thought Lovett was a good signing. However, after being stuffed 8-0 at Everton and 5-2 at home to ManU, I expect he couldn't wait to leave. He wasn't missed.
Warne would certainly of batted. It was the Aussies of his era that started the practise of not following-on. As for the others, they played in 3 day matches, so there wasn't the time left, so sticking the oppo back in was their only option.
So he gets to watch the game from "the best view in the ground", namely the players tunnel area. Too tight to give him a seat. But if there's a wall and some stewards in the way, it probably is the best view.
Bowled thru the gate, playing forward defensive. Wheater needs the abuse. 1st ball swept to deep squareleg and dropped for his 1 run. Next over smashed one straight at mid-wicket. walked back to complete silence. Wood needent have bothered carrying his bat out with him in either innings. Could have done better with Boycott's "stick of rhubarb".
Thank god for Smith and Tommo's dead bat.
You should have gone yesterday. The Ervine/Tommo partnership was epic.
If we had saved the follow-on, then we may have been looking at a run-chase today, so we would have been royally pis sed off with this rain.
