Well, as it happens, I do have two computers. In fact I have three laptops and a PC. I don't use the PC very much but I can still use the laptops to log in as many different names and post at the same time. Just like you and Mole, two very different users who in no way are the same person and should never be mixed up.

Are you saying that Alan Pardew's birthday is more important than the birthdays of the soldiers fighting for our freedom? If it weren't for those soldiers you wouldn't be going to a football game, be it in silence or singing birthday songs. I am not suggesting that we don't sing songs and sit there in silences. Maybe we could come up with a compromise? Hpw about the birthdays of all of the players on the OS, pinned to the walls in SMS and displayed where we can all see them. Then we can sing Happy Birthday to all players and no one will get upset at having been missed oput. It's a little unfortunate for those that have birthdays in the close season, but we could maybe have a big catch up session on the first game of the new season (unless of course that was the actul date of a players birthday because then he would feel like we had denegrated his special day by singing to other people who had their birthday weeks ago). If we sang Happy Birthday to every player (and maybe backroom staff) then I think it would be a good idea. But where do we draw the line? Do we sing Happy Birthday to all the players as well? What if we forget someones birthday? That really good destroy a young players confidence. Besides if it a players birthday, they'll be expecting the song and won't really be focussed on the game. It could lead to an error and a goal conceded. Just because he is our manager, doesn't mean we should sing happy birthday. Do we chant "Happy Christmas" to him in December? What about "Have good easter?". There are other people with birthdays. Why don't they get a song? There are soldiers fighting to proect us who are having birthdays? What if we showed our appreciation by singing songs for them? Besides which, it's only a handful of people on here that will know it's his birthday and be singing and the rest of the fans wll be stood there thinking "they must be SWF posters.....the tw*ts are off again"

If only the club listened to you we probably wouldn't be in such a mess now. You're being a c*ck Stevo. You were being deliberately provocative with your post and it is not pedantry to point out that "no smoke without fire" is COMPLETELY different to "No smoke, no fire". There are too many people who are quite happy to say outrageous things and then hide behind the "it's only the internet FFS" line. And don't try to pretend you weren't out for a reaction.....you were and you got one and most of those reactions are telling you that you are being silly.

Yes, I think the fans should choose the manager. A group of unemployed managers should be invited to the training ground to work with the resreves/youth team. They would stay there, maybe in some temporary accomodation that was specifically built. Camera's should be nstalled so we can watch their every movement and we can judge how well they are getting on with the players and whether their management approach is of any use to us. Each week we could ring a hotline and vote to get rid of one of the managers. This whole process should last about 10 weeks. At the end, the three remaining managers should then be put to the vote and the winner should be given the position. This idea makes perfect sense and is in no way at all completely ridiculous. Nor is the suggestion of fans choosing the manager completely stupid. It is not. It is a great idea. Oh yes it is.

I never realised Ron Atkinson played for Saints. When was this? Can't say I am his biggest fan, but the Saints link redeems him a little......as long as no-one suggests him as our next manager.
