That maybe true but he did not look and has never looked to me a £10m player perhaps one day he will

A model professional footballer talks sense unlike some posters on here. Yes we did slow down it was quite obvious and Man U got on top and scored twice. Other teams in League 1 do the same when we play them
-
Yes I agree but I now think we do need a new set of strikers if we are to perform well in the Championship
-
Does it matter where their fans come from they are a great club with a great tradition of winning. We played really well for long periods but they had class players up front we had Lambert and Barnard who tried had but had no pace
-
Sorry no Butterfield was better than Harding he had to defend as well as attack but both played really well
-
I doubt that we will catch Brighton and unlikely to finish second if we lose to Charlton Peterborough and Bournemouth. The team does not seem to win the pressure games which I think the next game at Exeter is so we are probably in for an interesting three months
-
I think it is just down to the money PL League clubs are being sensible offering money up front plus addons as nobody knows how OXO will develop
-
Yes it is a free newspaper Cannot see Arsenal paying £10m up front not sure he is worth that Dont really want Arsenal to be ****ed off with the club as they have so much talent we could loan in the future
-
Yes I think he will be away not a bad thing if his transfer fee is spent well unlike when we sold Alan Shearer
-
Could not give a **** We just need to win and score goals away from home
-
At least two other Squads will be promoted in May who in theory are not as good as ours is at the moment and they wont be buying. So I wonder why that is
-
Well if he could get the team to beat Tranmere people would be happy but a wretched performance and a bad result following the Notts County game show that he might not be that good

I expect the Daily Mail contacted Lawrie regarding the game against Man U because lets face it in our 125 year history the win in 1976 at Wembley was probably our finest hour. Although Lawrie had further achievements in the subsequent years which will unlikely to be bettered for years to come if he does not feel welcome at the club I don’t think that is a good thing. It is a shame that past present and future cannot be celebrated at our club like it is done so well at many others but that I feel that is down to Cortese. It would have been nice to get the surviving members of the 1976 team to the Man U game which would have got good publicity and perhaps a good feeling within the club and its fanbase Cortese runs the club answers apparently to no one and can do what he wants whether that is good for the club we will see in the next few weeks - I was fairly confident of success this season but I am not so sure with so many away games to come
-
Yes I see two points behind Bournemouth with a game in hand
-
I agree with your sentiments but Cortese did not save the club he only bought it I am sure another consortium would have bought it if he did not But pleased that he did
-
My feelings too
-
Yes I agree with what you are saying but I dont really see why MLT should be given/sold ten tickets for his mates
-
Yes I agree with you

Yes I agree with what you are saying Alpine is obviously an astute person who does not attend many games but by listening to commentaries and other fans comments as well as watching Live and on TV has a realistic understanding of how the team is performing which unfortunately is not accepted by other posters. I don’t go to that many games but I think I know pretty well what is going on too. However Alpine appears to worry a great deal and strongly wants the club to succeed and possibly posts to many aggressive replies but the forum is not the same when he is not posting. He reminds me of a fanatical Man U friend of mine who took me to the FA CUP Final Replay against Brighton nearly thirty years ago he was so up tight through out the whole game worrying that something highly unlikely would go wrong to stop Man U winning the cup. I think they were 4 0 up after an hour but he was not calm I asked him why to which he replied the floodlights might fail. Of course he may have been worried that we had both been to Cup Final before in 1976 at opposite ends of the Stadium when he obviously expected an easy Man U win - I have never seen a sicker parrot than him when finally met up after the game he still thinks Bobby Stokes was offside I agreed once but that made him worse
-
Of course teams in possibly should enhance their squads if the management have the finances and have identified potential signings who maybe willing to join us although I am not sure that Man U will be doing so as Fergie may think his squad is good enough. SFC are in a different situation because we need to recruit high quality Championship if we are to progress next season which cost higher wages and may not at the moment be willing to join a League 1 side where promotion is highly likely but not guaranteed. So as we don’t know all the facts I think we should leave it to the Club's management as they seem to be doing a good job at the moment. Having a large squad brings its own problems but it is obviously it is better than having a small one. There will no doubt be injuries suspensions and loss of form but we have a large pool of talented footballers and we need to give our youngsters a chance to play in the first team If I was a young footballer looking for an academy I would want to go to a club where I have a chance of playing as opposed to the First Team being full of bought in players
-
Well he does have a point as you are attempting to defend the indefensible Players are not deadwood if they lose form we are lucky in having both Dickson and Harding. If we had had another striker to replace Lambert when he was out of form I suppose he would have been deadwood too
-
I would agree with you in normal circumstances But if the Tax Payer had not helped to bailout the banks they would not be able to earn large bonuses So for a year or two I think the bonuses should be taxed highly for large amounts

I will tell Ed of your concerns when I meet him at Reading tonight With regard to Cameron he may speak quite well but he has got the country in a hell of a mess in only nine months Doubt whether his Government will be a success with the buffoons he has in his Cabinet
