I agree with your sentiments but Cortese did not save the club he only bought it I am sure another consortium would have bought it if he did not But pleased that he did
-
My feelings too
-
Yes I agree with what you are saying but I dont really see why MLT should be given/sold ten tickets for his mates
-
Yes I agree with you

Yes I agree with what you are saying Alpine is obviously an astute person who does not attend many games but by listening to commentaries and other fans comments as well as watching Live and on TV has a realistic understanding of how the team is performing which unfortunately is not accepted by other posters. I don’t go to that many games but I think I know pretty well what is going on too. However Alpine appears to worry a great deal and strongly wants the club to succeed and possibly posts to many aggressive replies but the forum is not the same when he is not posting. He reminds me of a fanatical Man U friend of mine who took me to the FA CUP Final Replay against Brighton nearly thirty years ago he was so up tight through out the whole game worrying that something highly unlikely would go wrong to stop Man U winning the cup. I think they were 4 0 up after an hour but he was not calm I asked him why to which he replied the floodlights might fail. Of course he may have been worried that we had both been to Cup Final before in 1976 at opposite ends of the Stadium when he obviously expected an easy Man U win - I have never seen a sicker parrot than him when finally met up after the game he still thinks Bobby Stokes was offside I agreed once but that made him worse

Of course teams in possibly should enhance their squads if the management have the finances and have identified potential signings who maybe willing to join us although I am not sure that Man U will be doing so as Fergie may think his squad is good enough. SFC are in a different situation because we need to recruit high quality Championship if we are to progress next season which cost higher wages and may not at the moment be willing to join a League 1 side where promotion is highly likely but not guaranteed. So as we don’t know all the facts I think we should leave it to the Club's management as they seem to be doing a good job at the moment. Having a large squad brings its own problems but it is obviously it is better than having a small one. There will no doubt be injuries suspensions and loss of form but we have a large pool of talented footballers and we need to give our youngsters a chance to play in the first team If I was a young footballer looking for an academy I would want to go to a club where I have a chance of playing as opposed to the First Team being full of bought in players

Well he does have a point as you are attempting to defend the indefensible Players are not deadwood if they lose form we are lucky in having both Dickson and Harding. If we had had another striker to replace Lambert when he was out of form I suppose he would have been deadwood too
-
I would agree with you in normal circumstances But if the Tax Payer had not helped to bailout the banks they would not be able to earn large bonuses So for a year or two I think the bonuses should be taxed highly for large amounts

I will tell Ed of your concerns when I meet him at Reading tonight With regard to Cameron he may speak quite well but he has got the country in a hell of a mess in only nine months Doubt whether his Government will be a success with the buffoons he has in his Cabinet
-
Adkins has got as much chance of becoming Liverpool Manager as you have of becoming the Pope
-
I have been on his site and it comments seem quite reasonable on the subject But perhaps I have missed him saying that Cortese is profititeering which I dont think he is hhis approach is quite reasonable but will affect people who do not buy their own tickets

Not much chance of us winning English FA Cup Southampton 0-3 Manchester United 04-01-2009 English FA Cup Southampton 0-4 Manchester United 12-03-2005 English FA Cup Manchester United 2-0 Southampton 11-03-1996 English FA Cup Manchester United 2-2 Southampton 05-02-1992 English FA Cup Southampton 0-0 Manchester United 27-01-1992 English FA Cup Manchester United 2-1 Southampton 08-03-1977 English FA Cup Southampton 2-2 Manchester United 26-02-1977 English FA Cup Southampton 1-0 Manchester United 01-05-1976 English FA Cup Manchester United 4-1 Southampton 19-01-1972 English FA Cup Southampton 1-1 Manchester United 15-01-1972 English FA Cup Southampton 2-3 Manchester United 04-01-1964 English FA Cup Manchester United 1-0 Southampton 27-04-1963 English FA Cup Manchester United 3-1 Southampton 17-02-1897 English FA Cup Southampton 1-1 Manchester United 13-02-1897

Yes it was in 1986 I was in the West Stand MLT scored at the Milton Road end
-
Well Blackpool Beaten now Man U As a teenager I remember Denis Law in 1963 and George Best in 1964 lets hope the youngsters of today will have great memories of Rooney and Ferdinand nearly fifty years later
-
Yes I agree if Guly stays but that has still to be comfirmed - there must be some problem as I was told he was going to sign before Christmas
-
In the recent past we have put a few results together only to play badly against an inferior team Oldham are 5 points behind us with a game in hand so although I am expecting a Saints win a draw would not be a bad result
-
Yes I was going to say the same Feeling Sorry for Footballers is ridicioulous
-
Would you prefer a Blackpool win to a replay?
John B replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
I dont think either team wants to win because of the League situation at both clubs -
Very Good News but unfortunately it does not mean that he will not eventually move. If AOX stays as well this season Promotion looks very likely shame there is no league game today
-
Lets face it anybody leaving SFC for more money or for a higher League is stupid so it wont happen
-
And an Irish International too
-
I have only seen him a couple of times but dont think he is a footballer just a defender who stops the opposition with little finisse
-
Not particularly excited over the idea of an out of form Championship Striker when we have Connolly Barnard and Doble in reserve
-
How Old is Waigio?
