What evidence is that comment based upon

I disagree with your first point as football is a team game and things like poor refereeing decisions injuries other teams playing really well and suspensions affect games so nothing is guaranteed. You may think we have outstanding players but they dont often get into the League 1 team of the week But I totally agree with your second point

Good riddance argumentative old git
-
Most managers replace strikers during games it does not show that Pardew does not rate him. That is the whole point of having a squad
-
Why dont you just enjoy next season and if we get promoted that will be great. But it wont be the end of the world
-
Why not take off a defender we needed a win a loss would not really have mattered in the long run It is all very well having lots of strikers on the pitch but somebody from midfield has to create the goal chances
-
Yes you are right I am getting bored posting the same thing on most threads.

Career Record Years Team Apps† (Gls)† 1994–2008 Plymouth Argyle 394 (54) 2008– Southampton 44 (0) Not a bad record sixteen years in senior football We have only seen him at the end of his career and he was brought here to help the youngsters

Yes I agree but this was always going to happen as lots of fans are totally unrealistic expecting to win every game. I think over the season we have done a lot better than I thought except for the first few games when we were poor. I have been to more matches this season than in the immediate past and enjoyed winning lots of games and would expect us to be pushing for Promotion next season as even with the ten point reduction in most years we would be in the playoffs with the points we will probably gain. Never been fully confident that Pardew is in the long term going to lead us to the Premiership but I think he should be given every oppurtunity to show us that he can

Pardew may not be a useless manager but he may not be a very good manager only time will tell. Not many including me are suggesting that he should go but I think there should be discussion on the topic as some of his comments and tactical decisions are open to question. If he cannot work with Cortese that is a problem . I dont know whether there is any friction between the two but there have been lots of comments suggesting there is

What really surprises me is that whilst talking face to face to most Saints fans there is little abuse and usually agreement on most topics

I was not a Forum Member in those days but I find it strange that people did not agree with you I certainly did as did did many non forum members But this is thread is about Pardew and I am still not completely sure he is the man to lead us forward as seems not to perform well under pressure but lets see how things work out next season before suggesting that he goes. The team is still gelling but needs players to be playing consistently well all the time and creativity in Midfield I think the defence is good as are the strikers so over to you Mr Pardew
-
So why was James not playing from the start most of us thought Wotton would be of little use.
-
Crystal Palace as well perhaps
-
I disagree we have been very consistent since October but crap in the first few games
-
There is always Brentford for you
-
And me too he was nowhere near the ball
-
It is very difficult to win seven or so on the trot - we just needed a better start to the season.

The thing I remember most about Steve Moran was the indiscretion with some young lady in Scandanavia but he was a good goal scorer. We certainly have had our fair share over the years
-
There has been speculation that Coppell was in the frame for DOF which is now not the case
-
The Best Goal I ever saw was the Terry Paine one at Leyton Orient in 1966 which gained us Promotion in 1966
-
Not really sure we need one as Pardew seems to be doing very well http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/b/bristol_city/8629045.stm

Well what about Swindon and Leeds today not results that were expected

It is typical of most League 1 Clubs I noticed a week or so that apart from Charlton all other attendances were less than 10000
