Yes there is cheating in football and there are rules monitored by the referee to try to stop them like diving and fouling. There are other rules one of which we seem to have been broken and is been processed by the EFL was is wrong with that do you not want the club be subject to oversight just because you support it. I think we just have to hope for the best and not brush it under the carpet and live with the consequences

Funnily I agree with most of what you are saying Fuller had two operations in the summer turned out for the 2nd XI scored a century I believe Dawson has no confidence as a batter but his bowling is important, Youngsters are not good enough for Div 1 but they could be OK in Div 2 like ex-players Alsop Holland Mason now in Div 1 and Came and McManus in Div 2

Spygate is an interesting situation where a football club as got to the playoffs probably by cheating as SFC are not refuting the EFL Charge and the spy has been identified as a Club Analyst There seems to be something happening as the club has been charged and do not seem to have refuted it.
