Yes that is an interesting point and we dont want players on long contracts who might not hack it in the CCC
-
Just because we are owned by ML it does not mean we dont want as much income as possible. I wonder how NC is paid it maybe based on some financial figure relating to income

Any comment about the current England Football Manager?
-
We have had a proper RB all season too unfortunately he has been injured
-
Perhaps beating Northampton was expected but after leading by three goals 3 2 is a little disappointing not happy clappy
-
He was mainly a RB and very quick too I think I saw him play his First Game for Cardiff City http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Rodrigues
-
How about Brentford ?
-
Well I must admit winning 3 2 at Northampton is OK but nothing else I was expecting a win so not really surprised that we won
-
I would like York City as we beat them 5 0 when we got to the SEmi Final in 1963
-
Yes Tranmere seems to have been the reverse of the best games I think I have ever seen the Saints play. The 3-3 draw down the Dell against Nottm Forest in the Sixth Round of the cup after being 3 0 down with 12 Minutes to go followed by the 5 0 Thrashing at White Hart Lane

How about Celebrating with a Promotion
-
Also against both Charlton and Bristol Rover in the cups we gave away reasonable leads and we hanging on a bit at the end
-
Yes I feel a little disappointed not sure why probably because with the 10 point deduction we seem to be in a sort of limbo and beating a team 18th in League 2 is not much of a feat. Although Northampton did beat Southampton to Div 1 if I remember I saw them once at Highbury in Div 1 when as a Student I could afford to watch 2 or 3 football matches per week
-
But do the players:confused:
-
We will probably have a very different team then
-
AP is doing OK at the moment and next season without the 10 point deduction things should look a lot better
-
I dont think beating Northampton 3 2 will be one of your highlights in watching the Saints for such a long time But a win is better than some of those desperate defeats in the Cup in recent seasons
-
Slightly disappointed we were 3 0 up when I went out but the goals Northampton scored appeared a little lucky
-
I think you will find that most of the players we have sold to Premiership clubs wanted to move but just because we have new owners it may not mean that the club does not have to balance the books.
-
So you are happy and positive and other people for whatever reason talk ****** is that right
-
Chance of a signing before the loan window closes?
John B replied to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache's topic in The Saints
Yes very true . Perhaps a CB and Striker -
I dont think you understood FF's post he was like me complaining about the spin being put on our good results. Nearly everyone is really happy about the results but some of the comments relating to them are becoming boring to some people
-
Very interesting point. I think perhaps we should just try and win as many games as possible
-
I must admit I have no idea what ML and NC are like as well as other football club owners. So I dont know what their plans are with regard to future sales of football players and their wages but paying excessive wages to players in comparison to others does not seem a recipe for success. With the advent of agents it seems very difficult for talented players to stay with the smaller clubs as in years gone by . To succeed internationally most players have to move to the top clubs and get involved in European Football so realistically we like nearly all of the others will probably be a selling club for the forseeable future. With regard to Lallana I would really be interested in his contractual status which I thought ended in 2011 if it does not end then the rest of the post is meaningless. If it ends in 2011 can he move clubs with no transfer fee being involved or would SFC receive compensation. If he does want to stay what is the reason for not extending his contract now and increasing his wages? I he wont sign another contract and wants to leave when is the best time for SFC to sell him

There is the general impression I would have thought on the Forum but not in this thread perhaps that 76 points will see us to the play offs. If that form continues we will gain 14 Wins 8 Draws 6 Losses and 50 points We'll then finish somewhere between 6th and 12th which will be a good achievement IMO considering the points deduction and the lack of pre season affecting the start of the season. It may well do but it may not
