I dont disagree with you but hoping for the best after the recent nightmare years is OK is it not
-
We have really only had one major injury at a time unlike previous seasons. We have only beaten one top ten team I believe this season which I would thought was not good
-
We have been averaging these points against lowly placed teams and have suffered very few injuries so far. Surely we need a new striker and a defender to help with injuries and a possibe loss of form
-
Well thank you for the comment about a stupid thread I agree the Play offs are unlikely but I was just thinking about the other clubs that are candidates for promotion and if we are to get to the play offs these candidates need to stop winning
-
That is in the past it is the future that counts
-
At the moment if we can strengthen the team a little in the January Window there is the possibility of getting to the play offs. I feel that the automatic promotion places will be filled by two of Charlton Norwich and Leeds But that leaves three places up for grabs in the play offs I think they could be filled by Millwall and Huddersfield but of course any of the top ten clubs could be there come May So lets hope teams such as Bristol Rovers MK Dons Swindon Walsall and Colchester start losing so that we can get into the play off places. It is not just about us winning games I think it is about others losing theirs as we got into the play offs last time when Preston's form dipped at the end of the season

Also Watford http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/w/watford/8387626.stm

We need to be beating the teams in the play off area something we have failed to do much this season. So lets see how we do against Walsall
-
Yes that is how I see it plus another Striker too
-
Rickie Lambert has proved to be one of the best buys the Saints have made in recent years. I hope we can buy a couple of decent players in the forthcoming Window to help the team to improve further . Loans maybe OK but buying good players shows commitment and they know they are at St Mary's for sometime
-
If we win at Walsall things will be looking very good
-
I am pretty certain we are going to win and keep a clean sheet and await NickG latest Thread
-
Yes I know but I dont really understand why we have got in another fully fit striker Mind you we are scoring lots of goals so Pardew's plan is working OK
-
It does seem strange that there is no place for Saga
-
Meant strikers really
-
Yes it is a bit aged
-
We are short of attacking options off the bench
-
Well if we dont win things will not be that good
-
Yes I was there at the Dell that day we were a good side really that year top 6 at Christmas then nothing went right got in Ossie but he could not score. I went to Everton for the last match which we won but other results did not go our way and we were relegated - the first team third from bottom to do so I think.

Do we still see ourselves as a Big Club when it comes to the FA Cup?
John B replied to ozzmeister's topic in The Saints
For the 14th Club in the country we have achieved very little I would have thought -

There are half a dozen big teams in the FA Cup and we are not one of them. However we are probably bigger than some of the other smaller clubs left in the competition who would certainly see us as a big club -
So am I and expecting another win tonight. However lets not get carried away and think that we are going to continue in the same way for the rest of season we may well do but football is not like that sometimes things go wrong and results go against us
-
Yes that is an interesting point and we dont want players on long contracts who might not hack it in the CCC
-
Just because we are owned by ML it does not mean we dont want as much income as possible. I wonder how NC is paid it maybe based on some financial figure relating to income
