£500K Needed to Keep Going to the End of the Season
John B replied to Guided Missile's topic in The Saints
I know I what you are saying but it could be said that if Lowe never went we would not have had to pay out £1,000,000 and had lots of youngsters playing. I was only be simplistic not realistic -
£500K Needed to Keep Going to the End of the Season

If Lowe had not gone the first time we would not be in Administration as we would have saved a £1000000 Is that right? So getting rid of Lowe got us into Administration it appears -
I think we should get a buyer first before getting a manager.
-
Yes 1962 we lost to Bury Stokoe was their CB and we never go a look in cost me 3 shillings down the Milton Road End
-
Thanks working now in summary Lowe should have invested more with money from somewhere in 2003-2004 Wilde had ideas which could never be met. Crouch believed that investment was around the corner Hone etc earned a fair amount during there involvement which has led us to administration. Lets hope the next lot will be more realistic and we become successful again

Totally agree
-
Sorry but I cannot read this although I do get the WEB PAGE can anybody help?
-
Yes I agree good post well thought out
-
Somehow I doubt that
-
Yes four wins and we will be OK possible but unlikely
-
I think you can only answer your question in 2 to 3 years. You were probably happy to get rid of Lowe when Wilde came in and see what that led to. It is possible that Administration could be a success but it could also be a failure only time will tell. Success back in the Championship by 2012?

I do not think the club should start collecting application forms for STs even if they do not process them until things are more certain Who knows what the Price is going to be as nobody at present has authority as the club is not owned by anyone I am certain we will last the season as the players union will probably pay wages in the last resort
-
I think you have hit the nail on the head if we go out of business you may lose the £300
-
Yes I agree we dont appear to have a team sometimes just eleven players on the field
-
No I meant January 2004 I cannot believe it has been that long we were particularly bad in 2004-2005 that is why we were relegated I thought In that time we have had Strachan Sturrock Wigley Redknapp Burley Dodd/Gorman Pearson JP Wotte Surely one of them could have got us playing consistently well
-
Yes but most managers are astute sometimes but not always all of the time. That is why they get sacked. It is likely we will either keeper Wotte or get someone who has failed else where like Strachan! Hoddle etc I would disagree with you about we have been a poor side this season - we have generally been a poor side since January 2004
-
Administration I would have thought is bad for the shareholders creditors and employees but maybe good in the long term for SFC and the fans if we are not deducted any points
-
Yes I agree LLS seems to becoming the new Rupert with so much unheathy obsession
-
Yes I totally agree and not having him was one of the reason why were relegated from the Premiership
-
I would rather 34 interests than zero with that number surely there is going to one to take SFC forward
-
I know but organising how to defend a corner cannot be rocket science Hansen can and he is not a coach
-
So are you saying Svennson has no idea how to coach or is this just a hypothetical post. Mind you I would be suprised if Gazza or Dennis would be recruited to SFC.
-
I would have thought he could organise how to defend a corner. ie the defender should try to get to the ball before the attacker
-
I dont think Lowe failed in the Premiership as most games had lots of customers there were not that many seats available at most games. The problem was that because of our income we could not attract many players on high salaries so team was always going to struggle. Also apart from Bridge we were failing to develop outstanding players like MLT Shearer and the Wallace brothers. We did develop the Academy and if we had been in the Premiership Bale and Walcott would no doubt have played a fuller part.
