    Jimmy Melia

I agree with you he was a very important player in 1966 when we got to Div 1 but yes he was bald but so what
  2. Why change a winning side?

    Boufal

Very true one swallow does not make a summer. Lets hope he moves on from here and contributes regularly like Mane did but so far he seems to have flattered to deceive not helped by injuries and not playing regularly We definitely need some class up front which will relieve the pressure on the whole team
  4. Fraser has been an integral part of our success in recent years this season only five teams have let in less goals than him and in recent seasons he has let in fewer goals than most teams. Goal Keepers do make errors and are very noticeable and Fraser has made a few recently but the lack of scoring goals is a much bigger problem than us conceding a few soft ones. If the forwards could score some it would take the pressure off the defence because if we concede it usually means we lose
  5. I think that is very true and something which was highly likely. I don't really understand why fans don't accept that we have been very lucky recently especially with Mane and it takes time to bring in young players and develop them. We are just a mid table side always have been always will be just accept it and when we do well get excited but it will not last forever football is not like that
  6. I don't disagree with you that we have decent players but They make too many mistakes They never score wonder goals
  7. Also time was spent getting in a new manager instead of spending time getting in a decent attacking midfielder or striker which we still need urgently
  8. Should have stuck with Puel but the club ****ed it up by telling him to change his style of play so he walked and I cannot blame him as he did not do that badly with regard to results . Then we had no one decent to replace him with despite being in the market for a manager a year earlier so we now have poor results and a manager who in my opinion has less experience and success than Puel. There is no point in sacking MP now if there is no one a lot better available because from experience results will bound to get better
  9. Surely other teams are allowed to attack and score goals that is football?
  10. Him and Terry Paine were the best signings I can remember in the last 60 years both helped to get to the top from the old Div 3
  11. I agree with a substantial amount of your post but I think Alsop deserves a further chance as he gives an extra option as a WKTKEPPER but I think Adams Weatherley and Carberry are now not good enough for Div 1 . Holland I think has potential and may provide a replacement for Ervine. But we need as you say two openers and a fast bowler. I have only seen two days cricket watching Hampshire but was not impressed with Bailey as Captain has any regular watcher any comments about Bailey because I may well be wrong. PS if Vince is a success in the Ashes we may well be ****ed I think Holland
  12. Fancy getting relegated twice in two years The whole cricket side needs to be revamped with Giles White out
  13. What type of people Harold Wilson was a clever decent man. I would surprise you could say the same about Cameron Osborne Gove Boris IDS Tebbitt
  14. Hampshire 14 for 3 Warwick 188
  15. I was there on Wednesday and it was in my opinion the right decision at the time we beat the bat so many times in their second innings Our batting is just inept and has been all season

    Koeman

I saw them win there in 1974 but unfortunately we got relegated with Man U the first club If I remember finishing 3rd bottom to do so But I agree we have had some thrashings there
  18. Lets hope you are right we just need a little luck which Puel never seemed to have
  19. Boris Johnson wrong because Brexit likely to generate 'net fiscal loss', says IFS
  20. Redmond has a pass rate of 80% this season with 65% forward
  21. We have lost one PL game this season and may not have lost to Watford if Yoshi and Lemina played we are always poor after the International Break it seems Why not just stick with the formation and see what happen?
  22. John B

    Les Reed

Les seems to have come up with the goods with Lemina Hoedt and VVD Lets hope Redmond Boufal Hjobjorg finally come good
  23. John B

    Cortese

Me too but it was pretty easy to get to the PL with the support we had and the money provided by ML. We just acted like Man City and Chelsea bought the best players in lower divisions people like Lambert Barnard Fonte Puncheon Dickson Richardson Hammond Harding etc no doubt were well paid and wanted to play for a PL team like Southampton
  24. John B

    Cortese

Well he cant have being it right otherwise he would not have been sacked
  25. A religion is a set of beliefs that is held by a group of people just like Brexit
