  1. Actually, I went for traditional Chinese Dim Sum (including Chicken's Feet, which were awesome) and there were no Tories in sight. I fear I've probably addressed the least important issue on this thread, mind!
  2. Tonight: Go to Bournemouth for party conference. Annoying meeting at 7pm. Tomorrow: Conference Sunday: Skive off conference to go to QPR Mon: Party conference Tues: Party conference Wed: End of conference, Saints v Ipswich Thurs: Return to Bath and normal work
  3. The cuckoo clock originates from Germany. FACT of the day.
  4. I can confirm that I have not been invited on Kips stag do, but I have been invited on his honeymoon.

    Setanta

lol@all of you. Setanta won't go bust. Sure they might be running at a loss in this country, but they are a global company and they don't just rely on one country. As has been mentioned they have a US wing, and they are long established in Ireland, to name just a couple. I pay my £11 a month, and I have to say it's great value. I like their football coverage, it is simple but effective. I don't need, nor want, all the pointless gadgets sky involve, nor do I enjoy Richard Keys bumming all the big name players. It's a load of crap. Hope Setanta get more stuff in the future.
  6. I blame Kip and his fruit cake.
  7. I believe my belly should only add to my awesome driving power. Like John Daly.
  8. Good news! Davey hasn't broken anything. He'll miss Wednesday's meeting (hopefully can get Kasprzak in to guest?!), but should be back the following week for some random four team tournament! I have booked time off work for semi-final and finals nights.
  9. Argh, apparently Davey Watt could be out for the season after breaking his foot last night. Not good news!
  10. Are you playing as a pro golfer or as your own character? I made a golfing version of me (including big belly), but you start off with really low skill levels, especially power. At the Sun City course some of my drives weren't even reaching the beginning of the fairway, especially if against the wind, which was quite frustrating.
  11. I hit my first ever under par round yesterday, finishing -2 at the FPR Open (sadly, I've no idea which course this was played on!!). In the 2nd round (of 2) I hit +2, so I finished even for the tournament. Have managed a few eagles, including two where my 2nd shot on a par 4 has finished in the cup! I was playing a friend on Friday, and her putting was far too good considering 1) she's a girl and 2) she'd never played the game before. Luckily my chipped in eagle on the 18th secured me victory. Is certainly a very good game, but my short game is oh so poor. Really need to improve my touch on those iron shots!
  12. Your reading specs have obviously fogged up.
  13. Glad to hear you have come back to the sport, then. I played for the Bournemouth Raiders flag team, who I believe had a few ex-Renegades amongst them. I then played at university. I've not played since. Part of me really wants to, but it is a lot of time and a lot of travelling these days. Plus money. Also, the nearest team to me is Bristol, who are quite good and quite professional. I'd rather play for a Div 2 team for a bit more of a laugh. At uni I played FB/TE for my first year, then moved to Left Guard, where I was undersized, but had a fairly decent technique.
  14. He reckons he's going to be a world champion in 2009! What I dislike is that Harrison's fights are always dull affairs, but seem to always be on TV. Whereas Danny Williams has had some brilliant fights in the last year/18 months but we hear nothing about them.
  15. Are you new to the sport? If so, welcome! Whenever Nick Halling interviews NFL players/coaches, he always tries to get a Southampton reference in. This is usually met by much laughter from Kevin Cadle and anyone else in the studio. Still, gets us some extra publicity. Met Nick at Cardiff City away a couple of seasons ago, and we had a good chat about both Saints, and other NFL stuff. Anyway, managed to watch the Saints game last night, a nervy win, but a win nonetheless, and that is better than last seasons 0-4 start!
  16. Even worse, you had to watch an Audley Harrison fight as well!
  17. I like the look of the new press conferences (should have happened ages ago, IMO), but see no point to the 3D engine. It doesn't add anything. I like the 2D one, but you don't need anymore than that.
  18. Morning Kipster.
  19. If he had a plane it's no wonder he set the fastest lap.
  20. don't you go via bitterne...that's the long way round!
  21. Might as well watch all 50 seconds of it on youtube now, like I just did. I can see one massive downside to this. We all know Frank Warren likes to give his fighters nice easy fights to they get to 20-0, 30-0, whatever before they really face a real test. He put Khan in with a dangerous fighter, Khan gets knocked out inside a minute. Now what crappy fights in Frank Warren going to serve us up?!
  22. Scotland were much the better team in the 2nd half, but suffered due to a poor first half performance. That being said, the freekick Macedonia scored from should never have been given, and Scotland should have had a penalty in the 2nd half. Looking forward to Slovakia v Northern Ireland now.
  23. Tramampoline!!!
  24. Well, I didn't bother to stay up for the game last night (damn this not being a student any more and having to get up in the morning crap). Looking forward to Sunday night and the excitment that comes with the new NFL season. I don't have Sky this year, thinking of getting NFL Gamepass through Yahoo, but might take a chance on seeing what other links appear in Week 1. It's still tough to look past New England as overwhelming favourites. Hoping the New Orleans Saints will have a better season this year. Really got to make the post-season again.
  25. Tonight: Go to female friends house and play wii and eat pizza. Saturday: m3h Sunday: m3h followed by watch NFL (wooo, Sunday nights are back!!!)
