  1. That would depend, if we play like we did against Norwich and convert a couple more chances we could easily win 4-0, but 1-0 will do for me.
  2. ******, Huddersfield level now.
  3. better news then, it would be a big boost if we made up 3 points on Huddersfield today.Providing Millwall don't of course.
  4. Why are we talking about the effects of a defeat. We will win...maybe
  5. Don't know how a Huddersfield win might effect morale all round. Looking at the table (but not the fixtures) it could be that the play-off threshold would be a massive 85 points. We can change that with our home games against Leeds,Charlton,Huddersfield and Swindon though. Certainly no play-offs at less than 80 points in League 1 this season.
  6. Me neither, it's on the BBC football gossip with the source shown as the Mail.
  7. Well I didn't make it up, the Daily Mail did that.
  8. Think it's a long way off myself. Depends on what they get to keep in the way of Parachute Payments and the reliquat of this years TV money, who they offload and for how much. I can see them getting a reasonable CVA and starting out in the CCC with a decent side, insomuch as any group of players wearing the blue dishrags could ever be termed "decent side".
  9. On an aside note, I see that Paul Ince might be sacked by MK Dons and replaced by Brendan Rodgers, plenty of patience on show there then, but they didn't get to Wembley I suppose.Success is what counts nowadays.
  10. Couldn't say, a couple maybe, mind you I think these long throws are vastly overated in that the trajectory is pretty predictable, unlike a well worked cross or corner which can deviate or drop like a stone depending on the skill of the kicker, Do you rate a Beckham cross or an Antonio throw more dangerous.
  11. Weren't they both Gray signings ? Although nobody wants to admit to Delgado anyway.WGS had a mediocre record in the transfer market some good a few bad, like Neil McCann but he didn't have a whole lot to spend compared to other clubs. He did however get the best out of a lot of players we already had...which is something you can't trumpet AP's record over.
  12. we're equal 3rd best though, which is what I said, if I meant 3rd worst I'd have said 24th or whatever. We don't concede shedloads of goals but obtain less points than some who concede more.
  13. Is that not classed as not grinding out 1-O victories?
  14. Equal 6th on goals scored,9th on points gained, equal 3rd on goals conceded. What does that say? That we can't obtain 3 points without scoring several goals...well I think it does anyway.Seems to say we can't grind out 1-0 victories all that often.
  15. Strange the bad language filter usually cuts out dicks and dickhead. Nope it cuts out d*ck but not variations of it like the plural and dickhead. Absolutely useless.
  16. which meaning of Grifter? A type of bike or a really fat, manly, ugly tart
  17. Strewth Tim, I don't even remember 1973, as Paul Kantner said "If you can remember the 70's you weren't there" (well he said the 60s but the 70s were my 60s)
  18. But we can make the play-offs, just as they say, but we will need to win 14 out of 16 and get 2 draws, so there's no margin for error. How likely that is would be something else.
  19. Red Star is down St Ouen way isn't it? I think I saw them on Yzeure's fixture list the other day when was up in Moulins so they must be in CFA now.
  20. maybe, but as I said earlier on I know a lot of things. Bloke is called Chad if I remember correctly. My Gran used to draw him quite well and explain that during the war (OK not the Crimean War) he was in the papers every time there was a shortage of turnips or chitlings or whatever..
  21. I would say it will all depend on how their respective contracts are set up. Plenty of players (not necessarily ours) have a buy-out clause which they can activate at a threshold price. Or a "Premier League interest clause" or whatever. If players contracts were so narrow as all that there would be no need for sell on clauses and whatever have you. No-one can say what will be or may be, some players will look to move on if we're still in League 1 ,whether they will do is something else.
  22. What for ? they won't be in the first team next season anyway, with the exception of Oxlade-Chamberlain perhaps.
  23. Not so much, well it wasn't the last time it happened anyway.
