  1. On loan until the end of the season apparently, been out on loan quite a bit, never very far south though.
  2. Players wanting to be here counts for very little when big(gish) money is involved. Everybody wants to be where they are until something better comes along. Few resist the call of a league or two above, a couple of thou' a week more and a signing on fee.If you look at all the Saint's ex-players who "wanted to stay" and then up sticks as soon as a couple of bob was thrown at them, you'll see that there are very few exceptions. The "look at where he is now" argument has very little effect on a player considering moving to a higher standard of football. For every Chris Baird there's a Theo Walcott or a Kenwyne Jones.
  3. What's so great about this Jackson bloke then doesn't seem to score many goals for a sh*t hot striker. A fair few of his goals have come from the penalty spot.Connolly and Lallana have scored more goals from open play than he has.
  4. Yesterday morning we had 10 inches of snow here, today not a flake is left, the temperatures have rocketed and it's all gone.
  5. I thought the Echo was banned from St Mary's anyway. Doubt if it's just Lambert that they're looking at.We have players on loan from other clubs that the parent clubs might be wanting to sell, so where do scouts see them? yep where they're playing. Scouts will probably be looking at Lambert, Lallana and Morgan just now. All three will be considered by some scouting staff to be playing below their level.
  6. I shall be working, I'm one of those "indispensable" sort of people who's rota includes high days and holidays.I like Christmas but it's different here, I've never really adapted to the 6 hour midnight blowout that they call "Reveillon" nor the utter crap that gets put on TV on Christmas Day because everyone is sleeping off all the excess food from the day before. If I could return to England for Christmas it would be different though.Unfortunately duty calls. Nothing exciting happens in France at Christmas, no sport, no nothing, just a lot of food and awful relatives.
  7. All that Huddersfield showed was not to make crazy double substitutions a minute after you've equalised.Pardew lost us that game by sheer stupidity. He has now learnt his lesson.
  8. Christmas is for kids, what else has it to recommend itself? ¨Pub closed in the evening, you have to put up with the ma in law all day and you get crap presents (if you get any at all) other than that it's an overblown commercial hype, Boxing day is about football
  9. In fact if he's nothing better to do on Boxing Day he might as well turn up at SMS with his boots.I'm sure he could still put Wotton,James and Hammond to shame.
  10. I can't see us spending much money at all.I certainly don't think we'll be paying 2 million for anybody "An Australian psychology expert who has been studying emotions has found being grumpy makes us think more clearly. In contrast to those annoying happy types, miserable people are better at decision-making and less gullible, his experiments showed. While cheerfulness fosters creativity, gloominess breeds attentiveness and careful thinking. "
  11. And for how much longer is Antonio on loan with us ? Simple question with no hidden innuendo.
  12. Mappy says you can do it in 1hr 49 minutes. I would have though that 4.5 miles could be covered in about 1hr 15 myself. Sends you down Denzil Avenue as well, perhaps you might get a christmas freebee from some tasty tart or other. So make that 3hrs 15 then.
  13. Depends, grammatically there's nothing wrong with his statement except that he is excluding himself from the group of friends. So grammatically it passes but socially it doesn't.
  14. He's probably asking for far too much money. If he's not playing then there's a reason for it.
  15. We don't need any more strikers because we are amongst the highest scoring teams in our division. We are in the middle packet when it comes to conceding goals. So what exactly is the priority?? Yep defenders, so that when the strikers we do have score 2 goals in a game we don't lose 3-2 or draw 2-2. Fortunately the club is being run by sensible men who aren't just striker crazy.
  16. Bart is the way forward though.Reinstating KD immediately would be retrograde step.
  17. He told me so,;);)
  18. That won't suit everybody. They all want to play and score goals. Lallana has just 3 goals less than Beckford,we don't need any more strikers cos we'd have no room for them in the side. Fortunately AP knows that and won't be doing anything silly.
  19. Because we have Connolly who's got a few goals in not a lot of games. What we don't want to do is make our squad top heavy, not that it already isn't. A CD and a RB are really all we need.
  20. But not so many as the bloke we already have.
  21. Unnecessary as well. Whatever we want him for just eludes me completely. We have 2 strikers who score goals, plus a couple of midfielders who are scoring as well.
  22. Still Saints and Colts will probably both finish 18 and 1 this season. I'm counting on the Saints to beat those bastards in the Super Bowl. Just how many get out of jail cards can the Colts get from the officials in one season.
  23. Ooh I don't know, wait for some player or other to get done for some minor offence or other and watch the "fans" unfurl on him.Remember Beats and his DD or BWP and Dyer
  24. Amazing how quickly they've turned on a player who's scored about a Third of their league goals. They don't score all that many anyway and without Beckford they'd probably be mid table. Leeds force is their defence, about 10 goals conceded in the League this season,Take away the bloke who makes the 1-0s happen and you're nothing.Still Leeds fans always have had a crap mentality.
  25. two games before that though.
