Of note is the fact that in 3 of our TV games this season we've conceded very early on , in the 1st minute against QPR and Wolves and after 7 minutes against Palace. Can't be a coincidence really.

Saint Lee's summary of our predicament

Some Jersey chap being Tom Scott who has donated over £1000 to our fighting fund of late. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if Mr Scott ends up as owner of SFC in association with Mr Richards and Mr Withers. -
Who aren't scoring elsewhere either. Rasiak 5 goals from 18 league games, Stern John 2 goals from 24. Stop harping on about those 2,they are crap and no better than Saga,BWP or McG.All we've done is saved about a million quid by loaning them out.

I've got one in my car, absolute crap, sent me down a forest alley the other day.

they make Power Rangers and Action Men don't they? UK headquarters somewhere down by Botley Grange.

Too many consortiums for Mr Fry (and us)?

Well I don't know about you but I remember the nauseating bullsh*t that LLS used to spout incessantly on TSF.Imagine you're a well educated business guy who's been there and done that and you have to listen to an idiot like him spouting off in the directors box for 105 minutes. Id probably walk out after about 10 minutes. -
no whatever they say it isn't right. We wanted 500K, they weren't in any hurry to pay it. They had the rest of the season anyway and knew damn well we'd be in financial sh*t street a couple of months down the line.Probably offered 250K down with some performance related stuff tacked on.I'm sure we'd have taken 500K straight up.

too expensive

Why would Ferguson want to leave Peterborough in the CCC and come to Saints in League 1?? No logic in that is there. We will get another manager who asks less than 200K a year, because we just ain't going to get a moneybags owner.
-
What has eluded him is that dyer has been on loan most of this season and no-one has come forward to buy him. Kids like him are two a penny in English Football nowadays. Erratic and troublesome. £1 million is a lot of money, easy to say and write, hard to find, don't forget the club is right up sh*t creek because we couldn't find about 100K last month.
-
Especially as we paid 275K for him in the first place, still we got BWP instead, thanks again George.
-
No football wasn't always like that, it used to be about cohesion and fight and turning up trumps for your fans whether you got 20£ a week or 200£. I'm old enough to remember when we were a top top top side, yet we had home grown players who were certainly on far far less than stars at Liverpool,Man U and Everton. It's only since Sky TV that that attitude crept in, big clubs buy all the best players and keep them in the reserves so that no-one else gets them. When a fading star comes on to the market lesser light fight over him and usually get shafted. Looks at Wolves side yesterday, I would wager that their collective wage was less than ours, yet we were shafted right and proper from the 1st minute onwards. We have wasters in our side, they should be giving the example, they aren't.
-
Peterborough are second in league 1, not far behind Leicester, how much do you think they pay?? It's not about what players earn, it's about what they bring to the game not take away from it. We pay some of the highest paid players in the CCC even now, yet we're 23rd and lost at home to the worst side last week, who are also no doubt paying top dollar..
-
£195K/52=£3750 per week, virtually 25% of what we pay that waster Euell. Allowing for say 10% increase since 2006 we still have a lot of players earning vastly over the odds who just don't earn their keep.
-
I've been to Huddersfield's ground, a dump by any other name. Used to be a really big club as well.Oldham were in the prem not so long back as well, Joe Royle was manager wasn't he?.
-
Well perhaps 500K till the end of the season. But after that we would normally use ST sales to pay the salaries until August, ie 3 months. But if we haven't got a club we can't sell tickets so where are we going to get the summer fodder from?. The matter needs to be resolved within the next 10 days or so because I for one don't believe that donations and saveoursaintsing will lead to anywhere near the money to carry on until we get some revenue in August. Our salary bill must be 500K a month, without counting non-playing staff or anything like that. So to get to August we need funds for May/June/July at least 1.5 million minimum, without travelling anywhere or paying for anything other than the contracted players salaries. The time wasters need to clear the decks and let the admins get on with finding real funds.
-
Nah we'll walk that league. All I hope is that we start out in League 1 with no players earning more than 5K/week
-
No, gates dropped remember. Plus we didn't shift Skacel or Rasiak or Saganowski for money. Rupert probably banked on that, he's always been so "successful" in selling players to North London yobbos and all that.Selling Deano went to his head, he thought you could sell any old pile of crap to anyone provided you made it look as if you didn't want to. Why he even got 6 million for Beattie.
-
Barclay's have probably not extended the facility in any way shape or form, that would be throwing good money after bad. Why would they do that, they pulled the plug, they're not suddenly going to start the funds flowing again. The administrator said the club have funds till the end of the season, ie 3rd May but after that there's zilch. The donations are probably paying the bills, doubt if Barclay's will.If there is no buyer the club will fold, the administrator said so.
-
100K maximum, Swansea won't give any more. They knew in January we were desperate for money, probably offered 200K (despite protests that they offered 500K,if they had we'd have taken it,we now know that) He'll probably be back here with his n-years contract, same as Rasiak and Saganowski to continue to drag us down forever. We'll probably have to sell McGoldrick,Surman and perhaps even James to pay for the old lags.
-
All appointed neophyte managers when perhaps an experienced hand was a better choice. We have our excuse-we have less than no money,as for Gunn at Norwich I just don't know what Delia was thinking.Perhaps he bakes a tasty pie or something.
-
Everest without oxygen and with no boots. Why keep on, it was over when we went into admin and lost at home to Charlton in a "glorious" 3 day spell.
-
Ah yes Blackstock, another Burley reject. When you add up the Burley rejects and the WGS rejects that are probably on salaries we could afford and look at the players that replaced them on salaries that we can't ,you have to wonder if either of them knew anything about young players or were they just a pair of megalomaniacs wanting to hire 'big name stars" to boost their egos.
-
Very, all we have is what is coming through the gate and the "donations" We know that, Barclay's bounced cheques, those have to be paid up as well. From the Charlton game we probably earned 12Kx£15,2Kx£24 and 4Kx£5 take out the VAT that means the funds are about 200K for the last 2 weeks, not even enough to meet the salary bill. Obviously there are some add ons,but as we'll get about 20K tomorrow then nothing else until the Burnley game on the 25th (when we'll already be down) we'll struggle to pay the players at the end of April.
-
It really doesn't make any difference, our players know that it's 98% sure that we'll get docked points. As for pride-well forget it.They are all thinking of Number 1,probably up half the night trying to get a club for next season.
