  1. My sister is 5'4", well at least when she went dancing at the Pier and her 6 inch stilletos got stuck in the planks she was. '
  2. Don't worry, you can tuck your **** in your socks at 5ft 4 Edit, well if you're called **** from Scunthorpe you sure do earn a lot of stars.
  3. Probably a low centre of gravity then, doesn't fall arse over tit with a puff of wind.Alan Ball measured how high then, don't think Tigana was a giant, Giresse neither.
  4. In the raw young boys you see Jan Poortvielt, they do what he tells them to do, they're still coachable, some coaches can only work with that sort of mouldable talent, they go to pieces completely when faced with "stars". I don't know much about Jan but what you see is his "system", the actors are competent enough to play the roles he asks, many 'no star" teams have played good football, the system is all ,the executants are exactly that, brilliant or mediocre though they may be..
  5. I think he has become a Derby supporter, plenty to moan about over there, and with just cause.
  6. Probably, but we haven't put up disgraceful performances and been tonked out of sight as many predicted ,have we?
  7. But then again some-one on the old forum told us "that he knew what he was doing" ,voices in the wilderness, what.
  8. Don't know, don't speak Brum myself.
  9. Told you-cruise mode, laid back-like me.
  10. A poor workman always blames his tools.
  11. OK, name them then.
  12. What's the difference then? I have the same mobile, except when I'm in the car it's a carphone.
  13. Thought they still had horse-drawn carriages on the I.O.W. Must be Sark I'm thinking of.
  14. Probably a mobile phone salesman.
  15. If you want to sleep you could have stayed at work.
  16. Looks like we're going into cruise mode to prepare for Saturday.
  17. Bolton are a joke ,bet on them for relegation with Hull and Skate.
  18. I don't know then, the BBC preview(for what it's worth) says Cork goes straight into the squad and may make the bench, confusion abounds-as usual, when the info available seems very doubtful.
  19. Doesn't look very likely to me,no substitute defenders? Can only be a false lead from th OS to hide our real game plan. Cork for Bart or Forecast would make it about right, unless Morgan is to drop back if there's an injury or defaillance in defence of course-not wise, not wise.
  20. But then that's the difference between a "manager" and a head coach isn't it. JP does probably not get too invoved in the business side of the club. He coaches what he has, identifies players that he thinks might fit in with his ideas and lets whoever is on transfers get on with it. Expect more input from George Prost on the sgning side;Woudn't mind wagering that at least on of the two is french(or playing in France) and the other may well be dutch.
  21. Don't know whether it's all that ridiculous or not. Something tells me that there is far far more to the "basement price" than meets the eye. Either he isn't a very good bet to stay fit for very long or the amount at which he could leave was written into his contract as well.Perhaps he was just another one of those "homesick northeners" who can't get by without their daily fix of tripe and pickled cabbage.
  22. Well I would think that they might stay actually. Would think we've trimmed the wage bill by about 4.5 million a year so far (with Davies going ) and amassed about 4.5 million for the kitty (Bale add on, Davies,Safri, Crouch sell on and odds and ends). Doubt if we put much up front to get Schneiderlin. Probably not even half of "rising to 1.5 million euros" .We'll see if they have as yet learned the humility and selflessness needed to play in Jan's system, what he called 'getting his head right" when apparently referring to Skacel.
  23. i expect we counted on actually selling, Saga?Rasiak and Skacel amongst others. The fact that they are either still here dragging us down or gone with nothing but a measly loan fee to show for it explains everything. We bought or engaged players we couldn't afford, to please most of the fans and "get our club back". Collectively they didn't deliver and now everybody has to pay for it. That means a lot of novice players, a cheap coach, staff cuts and whatever. If you're looking for someone to blame there is only one direction to look in. The playing staff who took the club for about 12 million quid in salaries last season and just about avoided relegation. That's where the buck stops, all the rest is just sour grapes in various directions. Barnsley stayed up and got to the later stage of the FA Cup, I bet their wage bill was about 3 million quid at most. These players(you all know who they are) have brought our proud club to it's knees, whether they were mismanaged, should or shouldn't have been bought is neither here or there, they were paid top dollar, the job they did was pitiful. So pitiful in fact that we had to get in loan players every five minutes to do the job THEY were being paid millions of pounds to do. I'd clear out every damn one of them and start with the youth team if necessary, trouble is they have contracts so we're stuck with them.
  24. In fact, on gate receipt alone it would take 34090 or so spectators a season to pay an annual salary equating to about 15K a week.So if you have, say three of them ,with a average gate of 17/18K, about a quarter of your gate revenue (assuming that everybody pays 22 £,which they don't) is gobbled up by those 3 salaries.
  25. SF 76 can write whatever he likes on his monologique forum. He believes because he wants to believe, he is so so desperate to see the present management of the club dumped and a workers collective of which supreme executive power comes from a mandate from the masses, that he is now delusional.
