Zlatan conforms to the old Oscar Wilde agage: The only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about. said so himself yesterday, bit of a knob in some aspects really, total egomaniac.
-
But he lets players lead him by the nose, he isn't a good man manager. Rumour has it that Zlatan ruled the roost at PSG of late and all Blanc had to do was apply the odd rubber stamp. He was copiously insulted by Aurier on youtube or similar, told it like it was at the Camp des Loges.

Job done with a couple of balls to spare. Excellent knocks from Wheater, Ervine and above all Dawson. Reminds me of some Trevor Jesty get out of jail knocks from the past. -
Reading their "drivel" is by no means compulsory.
-
More undesirable than unrealistic. If you want to sniff around the French "chomeurs" you're better off looking at Puel or Garcia.
-
And yet Mané was dropped for being late for lunch or whatever it was.
-
You need more than money to get the Jose or Pep sort of manager.

26 over bash for Hants then, slow start befor the rain may handicap us somewhat, needing about 9 an over . -
Unfussed, wasn't a fan but prepared to admit he did a good job post New Year.
-
perhaps but is he a great manager ?

Hey I finally found out where the names Kaiser Soze and Verbal Kint came from the other day. Don't know how I've missed that film for all of these years.

all sounds a bit too Toby like to me.

Not a great start again today, Middx 74-0 off 10, so unless they have a bit of a collapse we'll be looking at 300 + again no doubt and our batting looks distinctly thin. the last few results must be of some concern to the club surely. -
doubt it, if you could get Vvd for 40 million then United wouldn't be running after some young african CB from Villareal with huge disciplinary issues for a few quid less.
-
Don't they all in the Netherlands, it's all that's left after clubs with money from other countries have siphoned off any player that looks promising.
-
I doubt that we'll be number 1 on his list though.
-
sunstroke...pretty warm at Palavas today.
-
Just shows that the Sirs apart they've had some crap managers at Utd then doesn't it..
-
Done deal then ?

Just our usual summer Groundhog Day, as will be the buckets of vitriol poured on whoever leaves on each occasion. We have to face it, it's going to keep on happening until the ownership changes. Top players and coaches have ambition and provided that clubs are still prepared to offer them more money to have a stab at fulfilling said ambition we'll be on the losing end.

Well I was thinking more of Cleverley, Fuentes Mori and both goalkeepers myself but there you go.
-
Top 6 when you didn't have a side to make even top half? You have some excellent players and some pretty poor ones. A team in never better than it's weakest element.
-
He is but that's not particularly reproachable to most. Just trying to be fair to the bloke, even if I'm really not fussed either way.

I think a few players and possibly managers have found that dumping an agent for another when you're about to negociate a big new deal isn't as simple as it seems. Think it was Valbuena who changed agent, moved the week after and still owed his old agent a big slice of the new contract. Agents have contracts with those they manage and can't just say Heyho I'm off, see you around.

Depends, how much did Leicester spend to win the League last year or Liverpool spend to be 8th? Football isn't about money alone these last 2 years or so, most club have adequate turnover to rivalise with all of the others. It's how you spend it , who manages what you have and what good fortune comes your way during the season. Now to me any top 8-10 club from ast season could finish top 4 next. The TV deal which now balances out much of the historic inequality due to stadium size and commercial revenues makes it all very undecided. Why even Saints could have made Top 4 if it weren't for that wobble in December, if Forster had made it back a few weeks earlier we could easilty be in the CL next season because Citeh and United despite vast sums spent were badly managed in one way or another.
