Sants 0 - Everton 3: Post match rage thread
Window Cleaner replied to Bewildered's topic in The Saints
But last season it was 10-12 million wannabees, guess there's a difference. Last season we kept the base of our system and spent some real money, this season doesn't seem to be quite the same. -

Probably because the only target we have for the position won't be released by his actual club until after the CL qualifiers. I'll not say anything just now, way too early but Dutch mania may not do us a lot of good this season..we shall see. -
Can't tackle and when he tries he usually gets sent off, lasted about 8 minutes last week I think, also a bit injury prone and definitely slow, won't be suited to the PL at all..that's why no club has ever tried to sign him to any great extent.
-
That's crap, they're a good side..anyone can see that, power in attack and a good defence..will do well.
-
You obviously know very little about Gonalons.....Must be good on FM I suppose. Didn't really notice much difference from certain games last season today, the collective is not quite right that's all. Oh and Everton were good in defence..normal they have better players.
-
some confusion on the OS though, Martina is named in the side and on the bench..no doubt they'll correct it soon.
-
All that's been said in France is that Arsenal are 'interested' but have made no bid as of yet...my my what a surprise... but Aulas being the penny pinching bastard that he always is has put the Tottenham deal onto the back burner in case Arsenal ever offer more...Saints are not seemingly involved. Edit: Now signed at Spurs by all accounts. Yet another possible Arsenal bid that failed to materialise.
-
His middle name apparently....or so they said on the TV yesterday.
-
looks to be a fabulous start for us...hope I've not spoken too soon...
-
Never mind all of that, what we need is to bring back the Albion Band....
-
Not the same company though is it, in fact it's completely independant of any commercial links with us. I am sure that there must be clubs who are sponsored by family or associates of the owner. Olympique Marseille must be one, she owns Adidas, they give plenty of money to the OM and yet it's all perfectly above board. Man C and PSG are just isolated examples of constructive accounting by middle east owners.

Supporting local businesses at a reasonable price is fine, giving away shirt sponsorship that could be better moneyed for just a pittance is nonsensical. On the other hand the figures given in the article could be totally misleading. I still don't see why the main Liebherr branch don't shirt sponsor us actually. 5 million or so would be very little to them and with the port connections and all it wouldn't be lost to them.
-
Not for FFP purposes though. You need good sponsorship nowadays, a million £ per season isn't enough unfortunately..

Well it would really depend on why he failed the medical at Sunderland wouldn't it? -

A month is a long time in football. -
Well having seen the dog's dinner that Coquelin made of it on Sunday you'd predict the Arse to be favourites for such a player.
-
17th it is then.
-
So what do we reckon, 2 more wins for a great escape ?

But every season he's among the highest rated statistically DMs in the Premier, probably because he scores goals from penalties or something. -
not really they're behind the rate , raining anyway. Might even be a DLS result, not so sure how that works.
-
Trouble with all that is we might not be able to limit it once they go 2-nil up. Vitesse aren't very good but we shouldn't (and won't) extract the urite.
-
Never seen the Dutch on holiday either.

Looks like another poor show against Essex today, top order all failed, Smith and Dawson put us back on track until we lost our last fve pretty quickly and then the bowling looks pretty abysmal again. So erratic are Hampshire.
