  1. Plus if he gets a fine he just skims it off his taxes. Silly ninny probably actually believes that they are victimised in some way. José has let his own publicity go to his head, only someone bordering on Moorgreen candidature would sign Falcao. Bloke is a total bust since his knee got injured.
  2. True.. Terry often scores against us.
  3. And yet the seemingly irreplaceable Matic has been replaced ...again.
  4. Also said that we have to play better than we did against Swansea, probably true but we weren't all that bad apparently.
  5. Can't be offside from a goal kick though if that's one of the incidents to which you're referring.
  6. McLaren seems tro have made a great deal of difference to the side, tidy bowling and some solid scores.
  7. then they'll get someone else. Don't care either way myself.
  8. So they've already given up on the WC in '18, doubt it myself, they'll want someone to take care of that before they think about 2020. Hiddink and Blind have been serial disasters, if they don't qualify for next years Euro they'll do something about it soon enough, de Boer perhaps..
  9. Teach him to get tattoos in Dutch next time. Guess he thinks all that makes him look hard. Definite resemblance there I think.
  10. Excellent result, bit unexpected though.
  11. Sussex 7 down now, both partners in their 6th wicket stand gone. Still don't understand why they went for the target.
  12. Got them, bizarrely enough Sussex despite being 5 down already seem to be chasing the target...why on earth would they do that ? I mean I know there's a few bob at stake but enough to risk getting relegated ? perhaps it just doesn't make any difference which division you play in in county cricket.
  13. Must be a powerful reason though, Sussex have just gone into total collapse (so far)..who'd have thought it. Whether they're still capable of shutting up shop and not losing their last 5 remains to be seen.
  14. As I said n an earlier post, the first half of the season made the desperate gamble against Yorkshire necessary. If we'd had another 5 points on the board at that time then I doubt that we'd have even considered offering them 96 overs to make just above 300.
  15. Well as we've only won 2 games out of 7 anyway I'd doubt that yer statisticians would accept that as a representative sample.
  16. Maximum points doesn't enter into the equation, when we win this game we will be on 163 points, Sussex only need to draw, if we had the 7 extra points against Yorks then they'd need to win and would be under some pressure. Somerset are looking none too bright either. Desperate roll of the dice which didn't go our way unfortunately. Anyway we seem to be looking to wrap it up quickly if possible, only way to get Sussex quaking a bit I suppose.
  17. And with Hants now in an excellent looking position, unless Notts have a big tail wag again, that bad bargain against Yorks is going to be churned up time and time again this winter. It leaves Sussex just needing to straight bat their way to a draw which they probably will, being under no pressure whatsoever. We put it all on red and it came up black.
  18. BMW seem to be about to join the list of culprits as well. I have a diesel DS4, I have no doubt that the CO2 emissions are way above whatever's written on the test sheet.
  19. Ah but no, all would change if we won and they drew I think. If we should win and they only draw then we advance by 11 points compared to them. If we'd got those theoretical extra 7 against Yorks then a win for us and a draw for them would see us above them I think. I doubt that we'll win anyway so it will all become academic. I supported that decision anyway and am certainly not looking to beat anyone with it.
  20. So a deficit of 14 on the first innings, better than it looked at one point but we still need to bowl them out cheaply and knock off the difference. Add to that that Sussex still have to lose.....far fetched scenario all in all. I hope that we won't regret the attempt at a result against Yorkshire, although it's been a poor season all round and that decision was only made necessary by previous poor results anyway.
  21. perhaps we get an add on for that..
  22. Got half...well reportedly so anyway.
  23. 89/5 now, top order all gone for not a great deal, sad, sad season.
  24. A specialist nigh****chman like Derek Underwood for instance is a useful thing to have in the case of just a couple of overs in poorish conditions.
  25. An attacking full back who the manager seems to think has limited defensive capacities...isn't that a winger ??
