What has any of that got to do with Spurs ?
-
Depends how much is involved really. Players aren't to be taken too seriously when they evoke their future in the popular dailys.

But a massive blow that we have no doubt foreseen, it's not something that has suddenly occured in the last few days. He's been saying it's up to AM since the turn of the year or so and the chances of us being the highest bidder were always...well slight.

the PL is the only Top League that does not contain chronicly weak teams, I mean some aren't so great but compared to the likes of Eibar, Paderborn and Cesena they are still decent sides. This is also one of the reasons that players involved in the PL are often less effective internationally, the PL wears them down because there are no easy games where you just need to turn up to win. It certainly affects English teams in Europe.

as did I win the case of Falcao at Utd, he was even crap at Monaco...why anyone would pay money for him or consider him a "wow" signing I just couldn't say. He had 1 good season at Atletico and has been milking that ever since. Some do not seem to understand that in a league containing teams like Elche,Almeria and Eibar scoring goals is not a major problem. If there was anything to be learnt from Soldado's transfer to Spurs this was it.

didn't some of his uncles play for the Skates ? 2 brothers I think.
-
Which is why of course OUR batting came up 70 odd short. Will Smith opening the bowling doesn't seem like a recipe for success in one day cricket really. They all got hammered and from the little that I saw of the game they were rank awful.

We won't get any more than we would for a year's loan fee, couple of million at most, we don't want Gaston and he's been on the sidelines for too long to give him any intrinsic value. Couple of million from Bologna or Cagliari is about it.
-
think it's 2 million euros actually, the deal was all in euros and as the pound is much stronger that it was last year (or the € weaker) the amounts change. The deal was something like 8 m€ for the player (which is only about 5.7 million £ now and the famous buy out of the agreement clause at 2 million €. It was in AS or Marca at the time.

Club seems to be coming apart at the seams. How can your bowling get spanked like that in a 20 over game? After that batting becomes impossible because you need nigh on 11 an over.
-
Nothing particulalrly sensitive in any of his postings, bit of team news a few hours before a game, the odd injury update. Leftback now...well that was more specific but he didn't last long now did he.
-
Probably just totally deluded, as I've told you before the entourages of notable or well known people do not blab to all and sundry.
-
It's got nothing to do with Koeman.. There's a transfer committee who have already turned down his wishes over Elia, or so we were told on this forum.
-
For whom ? Us perhaps...Toby..probably less so.
-
Which is now today, hope it's an easy wicket with short boundaries because our bowling is getting lambasted, Essex 61 without loss from 6 Strewth, we are getting massacred, 112 now from 10 overs and 4 balls, still no wicket down. Mind you when Will Smith opens the bowling you'd kinda expect that.

We had a crop of exceptional players who Pochettino made the most of with his style of play. Soon they'll be all gone and we'll revert to the unleaded as far as summer window exoduses go. Not that we won't still be a decent side but it won't be full of players who can still step up a notch.
-
I have relayed your grievances to the local prefect, no doubt you'll be hearing from them in due course.
-
Depends who else they buy really, Milner will certainly help them in terms of ball possession I think and Kovacic is a DM AFIK. They still have to sign him though. Take away Gerrard and you're looking a a completely different side.
-
But he's probably pretty good, in the Dutch league, on FM15. If he's so great then there'll be plenty of suitors for him of which we may be one..

Nathaniel Clyne Joins Liverpool - Official
Window Cleaner replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
someone mentioned 20% yesterday....whether that's factual or not I couldn't say. -
Well perhaps they didn't want to be harbingers of relatively bad news at that time, perhaps Clyne was leading them up the garden path as well. Then again it could be down to how one interpreted whatever it was that they were saying. Neither is particularly direct on most occasions...or so I find.
