In fact failing to get 126 in a day and a half would be a bit of a let down really.

That was 2 years or so ago, since then he's got splinters in his bum from the rustic bench at PSG. Screamers? the odd one yes, but he still only scored 17 goals in total at Newcastle in 3 seasons at Newcastle. Since then he's scored 1 in 36 at PSG. Take away the penalties and the free kicks and you get a completely different player. Vastly overated and getting slower by the minute, should have been sent off on Sunday because his lack of pace forced him to hack down Hazard (I think) in the crudest of manners.

I like Djuricic for his obvious ability but he gets knocked off of the ball so very easily that I fear that he won't come to much. Perhaps as the article says playing against U21s where there still might be less muscle and power might boost his confidence..to be seen though.

Especially as we're starting to get knocked about a bit, 3 consecutive 4s off Bird in this over. Still plenty of leeway but I doubt we'll be wanting to have to get much more than 200 or so.

Not when your team is built to reach the latter stages of the CL and you get knocked out because of a shameful performance at home to one of the weakest sides in the competition.

It's all about, pace and physicality and many players coming from Italy don't have either and very few both. Being a technical genius gets you nowhere when Wes Brown kicks you up in the air. It's not just Italians either, many Spanish,Portuguese and South Americans don't make the grade either. You need special talents to play well in the PL.

Anyone who had seen him on Sunday evening would tell you that it's a not to be touched with a barge-pole situation, rank awful, he was subbed at HT. Let Palace have him, or better still Pompey.

I'll tell you what will smooth the path, 25 million straight out, no adds-on and no haggling. It's nothing to do with any malarky between LvG and Koeman, why oh why do they make this crap up, does it sell papers,advertsing space?

Small and lightweight, will get eaten alive in the PL. All sounds too bargain basement to me, still it's probably only just an agent propagated rumour.

Not really, he won't cost them a great deal in the end and he's a proven goalscorer in the PL. We've all see what happens to some Calcio and Liga goleadores in the PL...thay cost around 30 million and then don't perform. Balotelli scored a lot of goals in Italy I think, Osvaldo a fair few not to mention Soldado. The PL is so completely different that proven PL quality counts for a great deal.

Chelsea,Arsenal and Citeh have all the cash they could possibly need, didn't get any too far last season though. It's not about cash per se, it's about priorities. If you want to win the CL and you're an English club you have to sacrifice the PL title and hope you make 4th. PL football is too robust, no easy games, no walkovers against teams of factory hands like there are in Italy,Germany and Spain. In fact because there's so much cash in the PL it just makes it harder in the CL.

Transfer window speculation just gets a bit wilder each season. I blame fantasy football myself, would be journalists just make stuff up according to the disposition of their latest ff selection.

Well that's Wenger for you, doesn't like to have to admit he was wrong about anything, could probably have signed Morgan a couple of years back..didn't want to so now he won't pay 5 times as much as he would have then. We obviously drive a hard bargain. Toby cost us a lot of money because of his 5 million € a year salary. Far more than we usually pay anyone else, it's kind of normal that the buy in price wasn't too high and that there was a penalty clause if they didn't honour it.

Free agents of proven quality always get good salaries. No transfer fee, no drawn out, crappy negociations with greedy clubs, quick and easy. What would Milner cost if he still had a contract at City 15-20 million? Spread that over 4 years and you get about the right figure.

Anyone recognise the badge on that cap he's wearing ? Adidas cap, normal he's an Adidas signed player but that yellow badge looks a bit familiar. Can't be an official MU adidas cap though yet can it?
