  1. I've seen Lyon's accounts yes, it's a listed company. ACTIVITÉ SUR CONTRATS JOUEURSCessions/résiliations de contrats joueurs (valeurs IFRS)• Kim Kallström (27/07/12) au club du Spartak Moscou(2,85 M€ + incentives)• Aly Cissokho (23/08/12) au club du FC Valence(5 M€ + incentives)• Jérémy Pied (24/08/12) à l’OGC Nice (3 M€)• Hugo Lloris (31/08/12) à Tottenham Hotspur(9,7 M€ + incentives)• Enzo Réale (04/09/12) au FC Lorient(1 M€ + intéressement sur plus-value future)• Cris : contrat résilié au 31/08/12• Dejan Lovren (14/06/13) au club de Southampton FC(6,9 M€ + 2 M€ maximum d’incentives)• Anthony Martial (29/06/13) à l’AS Monaco(5 M€ + intéressement sur transfert futur Here it is in B+W 6.9 million euros plus a maximum of 2 million euros add-ons with no reference to any payment on a future transfer (as is the case for Martial who'd have come out of their academy). So whatever the press might say when the accounts are public and detailed anyone can see the truth.
  2. Only because Pellè isn't very good and JRod hasn't returned as no doubt planned.
  3. Bournemouth got about 4 million, their chairman made a big public fact of having to take a cut in the amount due to get the deal done, Lovren...Lyon got squat, they sold him to us with no kickbacks, don't think that they even exist in French football, add ons yes, cuts of future transfers no.. I
  4. Why ? Are you trying to suggest that immigration controls do not exist at this time?
  5. He's a player who did well for us but was at the end of his career, getting 4.5 million for him was good work.
  6. So we got 32 million for Lambert and Shaw and a total of 50 million for Lovren,Lallana and Chambers then, which tends to suggest that we got far less as a basic fee than popularly perceived for at least one of those 3.
  7. To know that you'd have to analyse the transfers before and after the 30th June which is when the financial year ends for Saints. Work out how much of the profit was due to player sales before player purchases and all that stuff. Don't think we sold many before 30th June though. We sold Shaw to Utd on 27/6 and Lambert to Liverpool end of May beginning of June . Just those 2 transfer fees would account for the 33 million £ profit at 30/6 I think. Without those incoming fees (if they figure in the 2013/14 accounts) then we made no profit at all.
  8. Then again there's squad strikers and just plain idiotic signings.
  9. So we're off for the season, friendly against Surrey who are currently 40-1 and of course there is the inevitable rain delay. Bit of a crappy early spring so far weatherwise. NB Neil Mackenzie currently 150 odd not out for the Lions in S.Africa, pity he can't find the time to play for us any more, even if he is getting on a bit.
  10. Probably because we're not in the Top 4 and have very little chance of being so. Internationals are still motivating for our players, most of them still have plenty to prove.
  11. Given the usual demand from Saints fans for the last home game the less tickets Villa take the better it will be for our fans, so tell them to boycott away, all the more for our lads and lasses. They'll have Cup Final tickets to spend their money on anyway.
  12. We won't get 25 milion for Morgan, 20 is about it.
  13. He did put out a few passes last night which were promising but immediately lost by Griezmann, Valbuena or one of the 2 wingbacks. They were all pretty awful, think they got about 3 out of 10 in the opinion polls.
  14. Pogba, well he's just a natural footballer, doesn't seem to think, just does whatever he feels on the spurs of the moment, some of it is great, some of it not so much . Anyway Morgan shouldn't be compared to him, no doubt if Pogba had played last night the French might have been better, they've not won a match with him missing since his first selection or something and he's a bit of a binky to the French public.
  15. Ignorant press, ignorant reader's bit of both really. Morgan just doesn't compare to Cabaye (yeah right) and Pogba in the eye of your average french person. He got 4.5 in the ratings, most got 3 or 4. All agree that he needs to be less timid though and I just hope that DD gives him another chance on Sunday.
  16. Good keepers play first team football from a fairly early age, Mandanda certainly did, peaking is a matter of opinion but he'd certainly be good enough for us, bloke I'd really like to see at Saints though is Ruffier of St Etienne. Probably better than Mandanda.
  17. To a point where none of them is considered as adequate as Kelvin Davis, I think you've answered your own question really.
  18. Benzema really was poor, we'd have lynched Pelle for missing those 2 sitters. Front 3 were all very poor really, defence was shîite as well.
  19. French press weren't over impressed really, I've seen comments such as "what do you expect, he only plays for Southampton, real players play for Juventus and Real Madrid". Another gem, "if he's one of the best players in the PL it's no surprise that no PL club has made the last 8 of the CL". Not a great evening for Morgan really, shame, it was his chance to shine. He needs to do far more going forward if he really wants to cement his place in the national side, doesn't do that for us and thus can't for them. Needs to move to a club where he has a less defensive role.
  20. I am still troubled by that fleeting report that jets were overhead, about 180k from Orange to the crash zone, what about 12 minutes for a Mirage at Mach 1, now I don't want to get all Pap about this but did the French know what was going down? At what height would a satellite phone function.
  21. I suspect that he didn't think at all, which is why I said it's not really the action of a motivated terrorist.
  22. Still not much of a real terrorist action though is it, action of a whacko yes but there are better things to do with an A320 than just piledrive it into the Alps, if you're going to do it for some weird cause or other then do it well. The lack of any evident motive tells us that it was not a classic premeditated terrorist action. As I said earlier, Lyon, Turin and Marseille were at hand. Just a seriously deranged person no doubt.
  23. What a strange rule, why have umpteen goalkeepers if you can't loan them out to gain experience, goalkeepers need games all of the time, no point in having so many that you can't use.
  24. Absolutely, I mean it's not the PL's fault if we're stupid enough to continue to employ shîte goalkeepers now is it. All of them could have been loaned out for this season and it wouldn't have made a bit of difference to the only thing that counts..the first team.
