That was on the transfer rumours thread somewhere or other when the relative merits of Boruc and Forster were being discussed, it's a long thread, can't be arsed to trawl through and find it really but it's there somlewhere, fill your boots if you've got a couple of hours to spare. Here you go, post 3501 transfer rumours thread, link here http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/329981.html -

didn't Turnbull go on loan to Swindon or did they judge him to be not good enough? -
You need to get your ducks in a row with Barcelona Saint then Sidney. One says he had 2 offers including one from us and the other says no offer at all. One of you 2 ITKs is then wrong. Then again it could be just wags at the club winding both of you up.

So he is

that sounds like ungood news then.

Katarina Doesn't Want To Invest Anymore In The Club - Krueger
Window Cleaner replied to Pastor Patrón's topic in The Saints
Why, we're no doubt paying them less than those that we've replaced. Aren't salaries and stuff what the PL give us money for, not to mention selling tickets There is absolutely no need whatsoever for salaries to be subsidised by transfer profits, not at our level of salary anyway. We made 79 odd million from the PL funds and we no doubt make another 20 million or so from ticket sales. Egg told us that the club had an overall salary mass of about 52 million last season, since then we've shipped out a few no doubt high earners. So what are we doing with our football earnings. -
Butb the club gets the lions share of the money, in this case it ends up with a Kazakh investment banker.

Quoi ? You've got the wrong bloke, don't ever remember going to Bangkok. Don't do hookers, never have. Try B Earsy B.A Esq.

Wouldn't really want him myself, difficult player to handle, there's a reason he's playing in Ukraine, it's called ££££££££££££. 3 times what he was getting at Montpellier, tax free.
-
Invariably think it will be Forster myself, especially if the report that Koeman wasn't keen on Boruc has any real basis.
-
Depends what view you take on human cattle trading I suppose.
-
Ah yes, that's it, thanks. Still not a loan shark which is the point of the affair. Leandro Damiao was or is one of their players though.
-
I think Gaston simply belonged to 2 clubs rather than a loan shark. Wasn't it part Bologna and part Cagliari or something like that.
-
It looks like really easy money on the face of it, probably have to prospect in emerging countries a bit though. So off to South America you go then.
-
poor dear is probably labouring under the impression that a 3rd Southampton manager in 2 years won't pass him over for PL games.

In fact I've been looking into the Doyen Group, very nebulous but their sports arm definitely took somewhere between 25 and 30% of our money for Tadic. Small fry for them, they've 50% of Falcao and a massive chunk of Neymar to mention but a few. Minting it from players it would seem, that's their business it's a venture capital fund. They put up 3.5 million euros for Sporting to buy Rojo and get 75% in return. Nice money making system don't you think. If they take 16 million euros that will be 12 million against 3.5 million in a year, we should refuse to deal with people like that, or so says Michel Platini.. So taking into account even 25% of the Tadic fee, lets call it 14 million €, then Doyen Global will have made about 15.5 million€ out of Saints in a month or so. Further edit: Do you think that there are people from an entity like Global on the WEF ? Wouldn't be surprised by that in any way at all. further further edit: Tevfik Arif one of the principal backers of Doyen was rumoured to be interested in buying Aston Villa a couple of months back but nothing came of it.How coincidental it all is, surely nothing more than that though.
-
Tadic was with Doyen Sports at one time as well, don't know if they still had any involvement with him when we signed him from Twente though. If so we know the ropes on that front seemingly. Edit:In exchange for an injection of funds of around 5 million € last January Twente let Doyen have partial rights (25-30%) on future transfers of 4 of their players, one of which was Dusan Tadic. So yes we do know how it works with them.

We have bowling poorly for several weeks now, fortunately for us our batsmen compensate on occasions but not always.

What to the board need to do to gain back the trust of the fans?
Window Cleaner replied to maysie's topic in The Saints
You know very well that I'm talking about KD,Gazzaniga and Hooiveld. Maya is still to show that he's really Premier League level. If we have to rely on Hooiveld ever again the bolloa kks will start once more. We need to ship those 3 out of the club and never ever have to use them again. Still no doubt they're too expensive for most candidates at their level. Trade off with Celtic for 2 of them would be handy, won't happen though. -
Tadic looks infinitely better than Taider. Don't put too much emphasis on Taider, he'll be a bit part player. We've taken him to get Osvaldo off of our pay role for another season, we're probably paying Taider less than half of Osvaldo's salary.
-
Who knows what Van Dijk would offer in the PL. Still think we need 2 new CBs and I don't overate our chances of signing Rojo. He's just waiting around to see what offers he gets, once the fee required has been established then other clubs will probably jump into the fray for him.

We had 22 points on the board after 11 games last season, don't really know what you're talking about. It was only when we had to start using the residual garbage in our squad (which is still there and shows no signs of being moved on) that the results tailed off. Our league position last season was based on our great start. If we'd have got only 14 points from 11 (22-35%) then our season would have been extremely difficult towards the end. -

Agreed, that deal would have probably been the most logical of all. We really need a CB, Holtby I can take or leave but I don't see him being any worse than Taider who although correct as a player may struggle with the intensity of the PL. -

Krusty must have forgotten to mention the possibility of a 2 player + 10 million £ exchange though, just 10 million supports his argument so much better.
