  1. 90000 km is about standard for distribution belts on most VWs, and you're right it is inside the casing on the side of the motor. 90000 km is pretty early compared to most manufacturers actually, some even go up to about 200000 km, 240000 km if you trust Ford, most don't and get it done at 200K Km. 1500 £ is a lot as well, mostly it's about 850 euros for the job lot, belt, pulleys, water pump practically everywhere in "Old Europe" might be even cheaper in Greece and Bulgaria.
  2. To be honest Lallana isn't worth 30 million and I very much doubt that anyone will give us that much for him. I'd sell him at 25 because even that is in excess of his real value. A poor WC and we'll get nothing for him, no-one will want him. As I've said about Shaw, I'll say again about Lallana, there is better available for less, just the fact of him being English seems to dope his value..
  3. No I don't think they'll do that, no point heaping all the world's ills upon them. They're doing what they can, whether they have the necessary competences to do it well remains to be seen. Personally I really don't fancy Koeman because I've no respect whatsoever for the Dutch league and his two forays outside it have been dubious to say the least, still the majority seem to be willing to welcome him so we'll see.
  4. Really, that was daylight robbery, Beattie was never that good actually, he had a hot streak, we made a packet by exploiting it.
  5. Changing his agent to the ultra knob Barnett got Mauricio out of the door pretty quickly though didn't it. A good agent can persuade the buying club to up their bid, don't know what they offer in exchange but it must be something. Look at the wrangle with Wanyama last season....
  6. I'm not sure that players can't be represented by family members who aren't agents though. Did AOC have an agent other than his dad? I'm not at all sure what the rules are nowadays. Think you've got to be licensed to tout for business but family representation is still allowed for individuals.
  7. Who is his agent then ?
  8. Isn't Lallana represented by his Dad or some other close family member? If he had a high powered, knobbish agent he'd probably be gone by now.
  9. Less those relating to last summer's games in Austria, he was a happy bunny then.
  10. Pahars was finished as a footballer,East European injury treatment in his young days had got the better of him. Whether he went for some paid vacation in Greece or Cyprus or just retired was of little import. Lambert might have a couple of useful seasons as a sub left in him.
  11. Not from last season really. Pre-season confirmed 21st June and the kit can't really be released until the new sponsor's contract becomes active, 1st July. these are non-issues, can't see why anyone would want to make them so.
  12. Indeed, far too much vitriol being poured on players who've done well for us for a considerable time. I must admit that I did warn you all that this was likely to happen if (probably should have been when) we failed to move to the next level as planned. The writing was on the wall when Cortese resigned, we had a plan, it wasn't fulfilled, these are the consequences.
  13. You can tell it's from Liverpool because of the cheap crystal bic pen...only in chav land would they use that.
  14. Ibrahimovitch cost PSG a packet, 20 million euros, think he was only 31 at the time though.
  15. At Lyon the football wasn't bad, got too involved in the CL for their limited ressources though, Puel seemed to have a fixation on the CL, think he got to a couple of semis with them; They had good players signed for not astronomic fees like Lisandro Lopez and Michel Bastos, seemed to like flair players, then again i think they signed them instead of Benzema and Remy after they were sold off, that's Aulas for you he just cannot resist a bit of profit for home-grown players.
  16. unsurprising, they don't need him, they in fact have better players in his role, Erikssen and Lamela (if MP can get something out of the latter that is). Personally I can't see what any top 4 side want with Lallana, there is better for less.
  17. Yes he does, Charlene told my girl that he helped her with her English homework.
  18. No we weren't, we were 14/1, remember mentioning it in some context, 400/1 to win the PL and only 14/1 to go down. 8th favourite to win the league 12th (ie 20- favourite to go down. That's halved now I think.
  19. I like Puel, he was on my short list last week with Poyet and Rosler, plus our daughters are on friendly terms, might even get to be ITK about things at SMS if he were manager, won't be though, we'll probably get the Dutch hack, probably speaks German. NB You're right I hate Lyon, same as every Ligerien and Alti-Ligerien in the cosmos. Aulas is a knob though, you'll have to give me that at least.
  20. So we only got 65 million in TV rights ? They could at least do their homework correctly.
  21. He doesn't lead, he tells other people how to lead. You know like a Uni prof, tells you how it is and then gets hit by a bus crossing the road because he's dreamed up some nobel prize theory.
  22. Not great for what's supposed to be one of the finest minds around on organisation and planning is it. Whereas Cortese, village idiot if you listen to some, he had a new guy lined up the day he wanted to sack the old guy.
  23. Just a motivational speaker on a fairly small committee, has his book been published in English ?, surely if not we're being deprived of the chance to bung him 250 dollars in the same way as francophones and germanophones.
  24. What international reputation would that be then, he's a bloody ice hockey coach and motivational speaker, this is football and he's no reputation as a top executive as far as I'm aware. If anyone wants to track down and put up his CV that wouldn't be such a bad idea. Has he managed a blue chip company, a multimillion £ (or dollar) company as anything other than head coach ? doubt it.
