Don't think MP has lost "the passion". He wants to win and be successful and I think he may be bitterly disappointed about the support he's received from the new set-up, no-one is going to tell me he didn't want a replacement for Osvaldo and the recruitment set-up failed him on that. Also I think he may be a bit peeved about the fans turning on him over the cup. He said we put out the best side available and yet there were those questioning him over that. We are now seeing the results of not signing a new striker at the end of January, we have a dying swan and a snotty nosed kid with no experience to face up to some of the best teams in the world with. I'd be p*ssed off about that, in fact I am actually. I'd have kept Osvaldo until a replacement signed on the dotted line, all we seemed intereted in doing was shoving him out of the door asap. Other clubs handle training ground disputes but then you need a real CEO for that.

Exactly this is a dispute between 'Russian' ethnies over warm water military bases, let the buggers sort themselves out because I certainly wouldn't want some of those Ukranian pseudo polticians in charge of anything dangerous.

You are probably quite right about the second goal killing us off, it was such a bad goal to concede, especially after the scruffy first one. When you keep on shipping goals like that you have no hope really.

Well without being an expert on the Crimea I think it's more a case of the Russians protecting their no doubt sensitive bases than mere d**k waving. There are places you just can't let fall into the hands of just anyone.

It would certainly be weird seeing a 10 stone CB in the PL. Same sort of effect as an 11 stone lock forward I expect...minimal to non-existent. Can't see why we won't play him in MF. We insisted on playing Bale at LB, then smart guys moved him forward a notch.

Given that our PL earnings from last season were about 44 million £ and we spent most of that on last summers transfers there might not be much margin for more spending.

Progression in French football is linear, Youth teams, club team, big club. They are notorious for interfering in player's career paths, if your club is not in Europe then they find a way to suggest you move to one that is, loyalty to clubs is unknown in French football's highest echelons. If you're a good player you should be playing for a top club is their approach, woe betide anyone who rejects their formula.

Absolutely ridiculous, Guilavogui is dire, that's why he couldn't get a game in Spain and had to come crawling back to StE on loan. Phil Jones is injured just now, that's why he's not in the squad this time, when he isn't he will be an automatic choice because of his versatility, he's a big miss for both Utd and England just now.

Not keen on Clyne being totally wasted so I'd play him at RB and move Chambers forward a notch against Palace, just to see how that works for us.

I thought we played well against Arsenal and Hull actually, nothing wrong with the form in those games. Cup I didn't care about so for me it's only in the last 2 weeks that we've gone to pot again, something untoward has happened, we shall no doubt find out exactly what in the near future. I did see the whole game and the only noteworthy action that I can remember from Wanyama after he came on was clattering Suarez and getting booked and then argueing with the ref about it. Massively overweight but then he has been since he first came back from injury.

Not to those who don't want to see it, All I keep reading are references to his past contributions, they mean nothing today whatsoever. If England turn up in Brazil and actually play Lambert as a striker we will be the laughing stock of the footballing world.

MP just has to work with what he's got available though, Lambert,Rodriguez and Gallagher....says it all really. those who said that Osvaldo's departure would leave us in the crapper if we didn't get a replacement in were of course roundly abused but it sure looks that way now doesn't it. I never rated Billy Sharp but I'm not sure that he'd not do better than either of the options that we have available actually because Lambert is just a waste of space.

to be fair McClaggan did have a virtually career ending injury before his career even got started.

Mid table non European sides have difficulty in signing top drawer strikers, they sometimes only get ones who don't really want to be there. We'll have to look for one with a rape case hanging over him I expect.

Cortese quit because he didn't fancy working with the ice-hockey guy, look no further. Oh yes and a few injuries, the odd training ground bust up and a couple of offers turned down for players who actually wanted to leave I expect.
