  1. you are not wrong, totally pointless playing him as a DM. Trying to rest zen but we need to spend some serious money before next season, a lot of these academy lads just aren't good enough when we come under pressure.
  2. Injured, hip flexor, could be just a knock or a strain, no doubt Canal + will inform me of which later on, they talk to him a lot.
  3. Depends on the type of satellite, those used in "sensitive observation zones" would be of a far higher resolution than most. Don't doubt those used over Pakistan in the track of Bin Laden were KH12s or 13s, enhanced imagery satellites. I believe I read somewhere that some of these images come from "commercial" satellites.
  4. West Ham are awful, how did we lose there ? Why exactly they're playing Diamé as a right winger just defies explanation, he dribbles like a block of concrete. Where's Jarvis ?
  5. Because Lovren and Chambers have both played in midfield, don't think Maya ever has, might be wrong. My choice would to play José and Maya at the back with Dejan just in front of them as a sort of sentinel with 2 CMs in front of him and 2 AMs in front of them, 1 striker.
  6. We cannot possibly know that yet. Anyone who's stuck a pin in a map has as good a chance as anyone else. However the Australian search zone did look too far south to me.
  7. Chambers was a MF before we turned him into a RB right ? We have a good player at Rb already, if MS VW and JC are out then we need a realistic option in their stead, Lovren or Chambers are the obvious solutions. What we do not want to do, as DM would say, is go to WHL with a pair of 5ft 7" rookie DMs. JWP has been absolutely atrocious when he's played there this season, to complement him with Reed is a recipe for disaster. By all means give Reed his chance but at least put him with someone who can tackle and has the height to help out in the air at the back.
  8. I sincerely hope not, we would get taken apart. Our CMs defend quite well, they are all fairly big blokes who win a few aerial duels, probably about half of them at least, if we go to WHL with 2 diminutive CMs like that they will destroy us because their MF is chunky.
  9. And would not being subscribed for the satellite version of ACARS (as is the case of Malaysia Airlines) change the way data is transmitted to and from satellites ?
  10. I think he's only trial with them just now. They may or may not offer him a contract next season but it would depend on how much compensation they might have to give us.
  11. I have read somewhere that in fact the ACARS system cannot be totally switched off, just put on standby. In fact switching the ACARS off on China flights is apparently quite common because there isn't VHF coverage (is that right) and it forces the system into SATCOMM mode. However there are so many "contributions" on this subject that one doesn't really know what to take as gospel. Might be useful to put up the link, so I've found it again, I'm sure that someone will tell us it's total bullsh*t though. http://www.nst.com.my/latest/font-color-red-missing-mh370-font-acars-cannot-be-disabled-1.521314?cache=wixtvnujghdrti I do somewhat agree with the last line about military capability though, there is so much hidden technology out there that it has become quite frightening.
  12. Well we are offloading players, those who've been here for years and not really made the grade. It's better for them to get some contacts with other clubs now (especially if they're in the Championship) and not just be part of the mass of players scrubbing around for contracts in the summer. Every club does it, we're just doing it in the right way, giving these lads a chance to show what they can do in what I call "real football" because they'll not get a chance in the first team at SFC.
  13. Indeed because it is used as the primary reason to disprove the theory where the flight crew could have been overcome by smoke (or something) and attempted a desperate turn back towards somewhere they knew. I've given up following this drama closely but this always comes back to me whenever I think on it. How can anyone possibly know that, if they knew by some electronic transmission that it had been done they might have known the plotted course.
  14. It was in the press and no doubt on this very forum a couple of days earlier 8th/9th November perhaps.
  15. Whilst I am reflecting on this mystery. I keep reading that it is a known fact that the turn to the west was programmed into the flight computer of the aircraft at least 12 minutes before the last contact between the pilots and ground radar. How would anyone exactly know that ?
  16. Flat tops are floating cities, I really doubt that anyone has one to consecrate to the search for 239 dead people. Time it got there it would be useless anyway, sonar research vessels would probably be far more efficient.
  17. Basically the same as you find on most forums: I know I'm right because I have proof that I can't of course divulge so everyone who doesn't agree with me is necessarily wrong and thus probably just making thing up. Disclaimer: I might add that I mean this to have no incidence on the current discussion, just explaining what the statement probably means.
  18. Spurs midfield will eat Reed up for an early tea or a late lunch, it's no place for rookies and approximation.
  19. Hip flexor injury, that's not an easy or rapid thing to cure. Depends if it's just a blow on it or a strain. Don't expect to see him on Sunday myself.
  20. he might well do that but as he's not very good at it it will be pointless anyway. We'd probably change the whole system if we had to start without any of our regular DMs. I'd hope that Mauricio would have the sense to play José and Maya at the back and move Dejan forward, he's not bad at it, or at least he wasn't at Lyon.
  21. Certainly not on Saturday anyway, as for Sunday who knows what our side will look like. However if we started with an unusual midfield and it looked reasonably correct then that would be a total endorsement of Mauricio's systems wouldn't it ?
  22. Chuck a gilet, that's a strange expression Bruce!
  23. Although I can't see him actually starting a new season without a better contract, he is very poorly paid (compared to other PL managers) by all accounts. Finishing 8th might well correct that though.
  24. Window Cleaner

    Cortese?

We don't even really know if their respective roles are the same. I'm just going to wait and see. Then again I have absolutely no idea what Krueger's capacities actually are, he can motivate, he knows about Ice Hockey but other than that what he can actually do is a mystery to me. He obviously talks a good game but his experience at the Oilers was less than conclusive when it actually came to doing something I think.
  25. They'll all be fit for Sunday...just wait and see.
