Perhaps, thought it was far less than that myself, less than 10 minutes.

Was there not a case just the other day of a N.Korean missile test "nearly" hitting a Chinese passenger flight. Nearly is probably an exageration though, they tend to use that definition if the two flying objects are in roughly the same area at roughly the same time.

I couldn't say, wouldn't doubt that it's got something to do with the hordes of juveniles that can be seen hanging around McDonalds or Costa at all hours in any town of significant population.

Anyway as Victor's game for Kenya has now been pushed back to tomorrow at 4 I doubt that he'll be in the starting line up on Saturday....unless he plays just a few minutes for Kenya tomorrow, can't see that as he's their star player. Will probably be the last one back to Southampton, some time on friday I expect..

No anyone, must be a Pompey fan's selection. 2nd half perhaps

EPL´s most clinical strikers, Cole Chamakh and Rodriguez...

Probably because defenders and defensive systems are so much better, sport evolves, lesser men do less well. -
How much will we spend and who will we lose?

Well someone extreme erudite financial wizard explained it all to us the other day, can't remember his name or exactly what was said but we definitely reduced share capital to pay a dividend last year. Why would a self sufficient and presumably large majority shareholder actually do that whilst the club has been borrowing money from the BVI ? Wish I could find the post. -

We might just have a bit better idea when we see the accounts to last June 30 which should be out at the start of next month I think. I'm sure that someone will trawl them up from Companies House for us. Not that I'm particulary au-fait with these things but I'd say that the size of the dividend paid to "shareholders" last year might tell us large about the owners intentions. Is that right you money men ? We reduced share capital ie KLs loans converted into equity to pay a dividend to err KL. The size of that operation might tell us something right ? -
as per usual really, lost count of the number of dopey footballers dragged through the mud by skanky women just after a few bob. What's that this year 2 or 3 and it's only March.

Inter are said to be interested in Osvaldo as well, we are said to be interested in Taider from Inter so perhaps if Juve don't take up the option with a bit of horse trading between us and Inter everybody will be suited. I just wish we had a real CEO to give us some sort of direction just now. -
Anyway it's not exactly the same role, Viera was what I'd call a "milieu relayeur", Petit was the DM in that pairing both for Arsenal and France at that time. Petit won the ball, Viera was there to take it forward. That's one of our problems just now we seem to have 2 DMs and no relayeur, probably because Cork isn't strong enough in the tacke to take on the role 100% so we have to rely on Davis to take the ball forward. When Wanyama is 100% again perhaps we could go back to the 4-1-2-3 system that we seemed to use at the start of the season..

He didn't AS Cannes,AC Milan,Arsenal,Juventus,Inter,City. Think he won the PL title wth Arsenal when he was 22. Won the WC as well
-
depends on whether he's really considered to be a possible for the summer or not. At full international level Shaw is an unknown quantity so if they think he may have some part to play in the summer wouldn't they really want to see what he can do now ? Baines and Cole they know all about anyway.

Whereas we spent what about 4 million on those players, the nucleus of our Championship side. It's not about how much you spend, it's about what you get for your money, doubt if one player from the current QPR side would be in our first XI, whereas we had 5 or 6 players capable of making the step up effortlessly. It is fairly well known in physical training circles that there is a type of athlete or player that no matter what you do you cannot ruin the talent that they possess. You may misuse it and not get the optimum amount out of it but nothing that you can do will destroy it short of kneecapping them or something.
-
Why would they do that, what good would that do, training must be pretty poor then.
-
If QPR had Schneiderlin,Lallana,Cork,Fonte and a fully functionning Lambert they'd be streets ahead as well.
-
I mean if Adkins and Crosby were such good coaches as some make them out to be it would be really hard to understand their actual position in the Championship wouldn't it. Adkins did reasonably well because the squad he had at his disposition was filled with exceptionally talented footballers, probably of the type that no matter how bad or good the coaches methods are the talent will always see them through. When you have lesser players you have to earn your salary a bit more.

Absolutely, which is why I said that he should have sent the U21s to Sunderland in the Cup. We're paying those lads (probably not much) but they are contributing nothing and probably for the most part will contribute nothing.....So let them have a game, we lost anyway, no point in going about it half-arsed. Why send knackered first teamers all the time, some of them are obviously running on empty anyway. You just have to ask yourself why lads like Stevens and Moore just haven't stepped up despite being built up as great white hopes for years now.
-
We didn't play enough of our reserves against Sunderland, I'd have sent the U21s up there, all of them, they have to get used to real football at some time or other and until we try the Turnbulls,Moores and Stevenses in a real game we have no idea what they're worth. Don't really understand our U21 policy, we cream off those who are obviously good at 18 and just let the others waste away with the "development squad" then we ship them out without ever knowing what they could do. Those that have been given a realistic chance haven't let us down and yet it's restricted to a few exceptional talents.
-
Doesn't like MP or Gaston, didn't like Osvaldo or Cortese. Bit of a trend showing up there don't you think. Probably loves Yorkshire Pudding, Haggis and the Daily Expresss though.
-
We should have sent the U21s to Sunderland, who knows they might even have won. We would certainly have seen what they're worth...if anything. .

Should MP drop Lambert for the Palace game!
Window Cleaner replied to SOTONS EAST SIDE's topic in The Saints
I think we just need to accept that Lambert is finished as a PL striker and move on, exactly the same trajectory as Grant Holt really except that Norwich saw it coming and shipped him out when they had the chance, not that their recruits were any much better though. We don't need Lambert in midfield, we need him to be efficient at the point of the attack where he's supposed to be because if he isn't it just leaves our other front men outnumbered and overstretched all of the time. -
So they did, still played Brighton on the Monday before getting mauled by Newcastle though, watched that game, Hull were abysmal, it was just one game to many for their players.
