Plus the VAT on a nice bike must be a tidy sum. Especially if you've a car (or cars) as well.

This is about it. How much money have the current top 6 spent since Leicester won the title? Probably somewhere approaching a billion quid or so. It used to be possible to get good results by developping players and some astute trading. These last few years that's gone out of the proverbial window. The top side is the one that's spent the most money and I'd not doubt that the second side is the second biggest spender.

"Solid start" has become painfully slow scoring. Perhaps it's a cabbage patch wicket.
-
Don't really see who we're likely to get that would improve our group with reference to the very top clubs. We need to make sure that we have what's necessary to beat the real dross and not lose twice to whatever crap replaces Cardiff, Fulham and Huddersfield.
-
Expectations ? We'll probably lose more games than we win, be lower mid-table and maybe have a bit of a league cup run. Our squad isn't good enough really and I doubt that that will change.

Solid start for Hants on the I.O.W today. About the only team batting first that hasn't lost 3 or 4 wickets already for few runs. Then again I don't think Notts are very good and they've gifted us a fair few with no-balls.
-
Pretty good day for Hants yesterday. I hope that the weather won't stop us getting the win today.
-
Warks 88/3 at tea after the 1st ball of the 40th over from Fidel. What a great inswinging yorker that was.
-
Neither side looked good enough to survive in the PL in their current format.

Runs look pretty hard to come by on this wicket. Pity Donald got hit by that full toss, seemed to be in some distress afterwards, hit a couple of big shots off the same bowler but chipped on to point (I think) afterwards. Today Hants are making really heavy weather of it, didn't get the 4th batting point, Alsop out for 150. Hants all out for 354 after batting for another 22 overs or so this morning. Hope Warks have the same difficulty scoring.
-
Well I hope I'm not going to put the mockers on him here because Hants don't need that right now but Donald has come in and played his shots just when we needed to start boosting the score. Looks pretty handy so far.
-
We'll see how Donald gets on, played a decent one day innings somewhere in the pool matches. Wicket looks much more difficult than Hants must have estimated when they chose to bat. The odd ball seems to flatten out. Mind you some of the Warks bowlers seem to be bowling just wide enough not to get called for it.
-
Donald hasn't come in to bat yet. Dawson in before him. Live stream on the Warks site for anyone interested.
-
The batting is certainly slow today. Pinned down completely since lunch, lost Northeast and Rossouw as well.
-
Or Veho or that other bunch we had AaP3 or something. For some reason or other Saints are not attractive to big name shirt sponsors.

It's just a few million quid, peanuts in our day and age. How much do you think small companies pay for TV ads and the like ? The owner can invest a fair old amount of money in the club provided he turns it into equity. Why even Kat invested consequent sums at the start.

As if Gao has millions....
-
i think you have to pump millions into FIFA members' pockets for that don't you !

I had a milkshake the other day, not a patch on the ones they used to do at Wimpy just down the road from Fridays.
-
And John Barnes now weighing in. Seems that some think that you just have to have a regulation dose of BAME (whatever that means) people in football management. Nothing to do with ability or results or whatever you've just got to have the right number (or more)...
-
So they like you to think!!
-
Troy Townsend, whoever he may be.
-
Perhaps it's something to do with the number of Sky Subscribers in the Newcastle region. I mean if they were on 19 times that's half of their games isn't it.
-
Kind of makes sense then. If we were an "eyesore" last season you can understand why we weren't programmed so much this season.

Ah right, way back in September, must have been on holiday then.
