Saints players to make the England world cup squad
Window Cleaner replied to stockbridge_saint's topic in The Saints
in fact we could have up to 7 players at this year's WC, depends if Gaston is still here though. -
JWP is at his best on the right of the attacking 3 midfielders, of late he's been drafted in to replace Morgan and he isn't anywhere near as comfortable in that role as we saw last Saturday, in fact it needed Steve Davis to be constantly dropping back to help him out. Once we get back to our usual formation he'll no doubt look better although I can't see him deplacing SD for the starters place at ARM in the near future.

Lallana and JRod, -
Might be a bit over exigent then, we will still have Gazza in goal any with that anything could happen. A win would be good but with our keeper situation you just can't guarantee that. We could easily have lost 3-1 last saturday if Newcastle had converted Gazza's gifts as they should have done.

sacked because he wouldn't play Adebayor....well if you believe the press that is. I could well believe it because the results in themselves weren't really all that bad. Better than ours anyway.
-
I see that there have been other management sackings as well today. Valencia have sacked their manager and so it would seem have Croatia. Simunic, the bloke who replaced Dejan for the Croatia play-offs, has been banned for 10 matches for leading some sort of racist chant as well.
-
in the League if we had Aguero or Suarez as our principal striker. Liverpool is definitely 10 other blokes and Suarez. Bet we'd be top 3 at least.
-
prize pikey of the year, now there's an honour worth having. Mind you you'd have to climb over thousands of fuel siphoning, copper cable filching, church roof robbers to get it.
-
what's all this hustings lark about then ?
-
I think the Club are looking for quite a few new staff members, business manager is one of them I think, Ticket Office Manager is another so they'll probably need a bit of a media circus when they fill those posts.
-
that's what I thought. The Russians go into their 2 month winter break soon but after that it's a full time job preparing for the World Cup..
-
well I'd think that was because of the shîte results at Watford and very little else.
-
I just don't see the Spurs job being particularly attractive to him. Can't see many affinities within their group of players and there are quite a few there who wouldn't seem to work hard enough for him.
-
doubt if a non-Italian will ever get the Italy job.
-
De Boer has turned a few "top jobs" down I think. Still Tottenham might convince him I suppose.
-
So back to next Sunday. Do Spurs have a fit left back other than the kid they sent on in the second half yesterday? Rose went off at half time in their EL game, Naughton went off at half time yesterday so it could be they'll be down to their 4th stringer again . That would have to be good news for us because even Sterling took him apart.
-
I don't expect we do 90K a week and I doubt that he'd be interested at 25K a week so it all looks very hypothetical.
-
doesn't he still have a job with the Russian National side ?
-
Surely the massive spending spree was a result of selling Bale which I guess was on the cards all summer. If they hadn't spent the money most of it would have gone to the Revenue anyway, no point in making a profit any more.
-
Can't honestly see Mpo being a serious candidate anyway. Why Spurs would probably have sacked him by now anyway if they'd had our last 5 results that is. Still think they'll take Laudrup, he won't want to hang about in Swansea for ever.
-
Very poor result for the Eagles yesterday, fortunately the Cowboys lost in the last minutes of their game as well so the division is still winnable. Didn't think much of Foles (or the secondary) yesterday, Foles is so hit and miss at times. Still rather have MV7 myself.
-
thought he is looking more and more like the sort of instinctive striker you always need with every game that goes by. Lovely work by Steve Davis as well.
-
down to about half of thet now though, some strange candidates in the front runners, like Tim Sherwood and Glen Hoddle, both shorter odds than MPo, Capello is favourite though, then Laudrup. I mean Hoddle, that is just daylight robbery, bloke is a dinosaur totally out of touch with real football, bookies are just playing on the emotions of your average thick Spurs fan there.
-
Still think it's a strange decision, Liverpool were unplayable yesterday, incredibly quick and incisive, shows just how much that old carthorse Gerrard slows them down. They'd have handed out a drubbing to anyone on yesterday's form.
-
is the game not at St Mary's ?
